He shuddered as he rose up, shrugging off the blanket. Draconic, crimson wings arched above him. Dark maroon claws replaced his paws. A long, scaly, ruby-red tail unfurled behind him. And yet the rest of his body was pale ginger. He was still shaking.
"I... I... I went... wrong....."

"Oh Arceus, she's coming. Hide." Crush buried himself in the papers.

"I... I went... wrong... I.. was a.... mis... mistake... an accident.... I... was never meant TO BE!" He pounded his paws- ahem, claws into the side of the cage. "WHY AM I A MISTAKE?! A GLITCH!"
"Neb, get back here!" he yelled. "That insane Reuniclus is out there!"
"Come on, Serena!" Crush darted out of the storage room after Neb and Alexia. "Where we headed?"

IC: Jak hurried past a wrecked building. It was hard for a mouse the size of a peanut to survive in a Pokemon-eat-Pokemon world, even if he did have electric powers. Suddenly a dull yellow colour caught his eye. An old cornfield! He needed to remember this place! Hurrying to the maize maze, Jak searched the ground for a fallen husk.
"My NAME? Why would you want to know my NAME? After all, I'm just a mistake, a prototype, an experiment gone wrong!" The tom screeched.
Crush snorted at her subtle joke before following her in, making sure the others were there.
Jak found the meal he was searching for. He began the chew and gnaw at the dusty yellow vegetable. Suddenly, he heard a crunching noise nearby. He checked the scent - a Totodile! The tiny mouse Pokemon snuck through corn hedges until he spotted the Pokemon. It was shiny! He tracked it for a while, pondering its intentions
Crush helped pack everyone into the tiny cupboard.
Crush started swearing softly to himself.
The Pichu, annoyed with himself for abandoning his meal just to track a stupid Pokemon, scurried up a grey-green corn-stalk until he reached the enveloped husk. He leapt up it and peeled it down from the top. Golden kernels were exposed. Jak hopped forwards and began to gnaw at it, relishing the taste in his mouth. He hadn't eaten much for days!
Jak forgot that he was now completely exposed and visible.
The tom huffed as she struck him. Lait reared up and slammed down on her, aiming to lodge his claws in her shoulders.
The tom froze as she said that. Handsome...? He turned to look at her to see a pale blush play across her cheeks. He slowly lowered himself down onto the ground. A slight smile turned up the corners just an inch. "I'm... Red. I mean, uh, my name is Red, I mean I'm not, well I am a little but-" Red cut off as he realised he was chattering like a squirrel.
Crush saw Alexia aiming a fireball at the Reuniclus. "No," he hissed. That Quilava could be so stupid! He waved his arms, signalling silently to her to stop.
Crush froze for a second, thinking about this. "Good point," he mouthed, "but if you attack it, it might go for you!"
