WOW! Currently it is 4:45pm and I am no longer tired. -
She flew over to the kitty and looked down. Im mulan, she explained.
-
Lavenderstripe nodded and padded out of the den, to wait outside of camp for her apprentice.
-
The cat on the left of the first picture.
-
The kit mewled loudly before crawling closer to his mother's warm belly. The other kits had begun to curl up in the groves of her belly, but one wasn't mewling [the deaf one]
-
Also, you can only be one kit so Brokenstar, which kit do you want more?
Yep! -

This is Sky Pack. The mountains are teeming with prey, but many dangers as well. There are rival packs, bears, mountain lions, and hunters. And not all the dangers here are alive. There are the rockslides, mudslides, the river flooding, forest fires, and more. Can you survive, climb high, and touch the sky?
~~~
To join Sky pack, please fill out the form (located directly below the ranks), READ THE RULES, and quickly scan through other (it has useful info), territory, ranks (very important!! It tells you what ranks are available, and it's an easy place to see how many wolves there are, and who's what rank) about the ranks (optional, it's smart to read through the rank you want to be), check the season (regularly is preferable), dangers and main diet. Also, remember check things every once in a while (doesn't have to be often), I will do updates. If you have any suggestions, let me know!! (through PM or just make a post)
Territory
(1) ThunderClan Camp: The camp is well protected by the side of a cliff, and surrounded by a thorn barrier. It is a dip in the land and surrounding by large, stone walls. It is an old twoleg quarry.
(2) Greenleaf Twolegplace: This part of land was given to ShadowClan until ThunderClan fought for it back.
(3) Abandoned Twoleg Nest: Herbs and prey thrive here, though it has an ominous feeling inside. The medicine cat collects herbs from here and apprentices may dare themselves to hunt there.
(4) Sky Oak: An ancient oak where squirrels love to call home. It also has an old rabbit burrow inside.
(5) Old Thunderpath: Marked with blue Twoleg markers, cats often stay away from this road, but young, daring apprentices may come here.
(6) Clearing: A training hollow much like the old sandy hollow in the forest territory.
(7) Lake Shore: ThunderClan has the north-eastern portion of the lake.
CAMP:
At the bottom of an old cliff, this camp is very well protected. The walls around the camp are smooth, indicating Twolegs cut this place moons ago. The cliffs also help keep out the wind. A thorn barrier guards the camp; any cat that wants to come in has to get past. A ledge peeks out from the cliff. That is the Highledge where the leader speaks. A cave near the top is the leader's den. The apprentice's den is also a cave in the rocks while the warrior den is under a big thornbush. The medicine cat's den is another cave, but this time hidden by bramble tendrils. Like the previous camp, the nursery is highly guarded, and under a big bramble thicket reinforced with thick roots woven together for protection. Lastly, the elder's den is in a hazel bush, and later rebuilt under the boughs of a beech tree and reinforced with honeysuckle.
Prey
Many animals are hunted within the spectacular forest of the Clan. These animals range in size from the tiniest fish in the stream, to the largest animal in the forest and nearly anything in between. Some animals are forbidden to be eaten within the Clan, but most of the time, the hunt is always on…
Small Prey
Smaller prey is what is hunted by single cats on lone hunting patrols. Though it can be hunted with larger groups, it is not as often, as bigger patrols can usually take down bigger prey (if the cats are working together).Mice
Small rodents about the size of an average cat’s paw that are extremely easy to catch and are often used as first catches with apprentices. Can be found anywhere from the forest to the mountain throughout the year, but harder to catch during leaf-bare.Voles
Rather small but filling creatures that like to hide in grasses. About the size of a mouse, but more plump. An easy catch for apprentices. Can be found throughout the year except for leaf-bare.Moles
Plump rodents about the size of an apprentice that make their homes in the ground. Poor eyesight but excellent sense of smell. Usually clumsy but scurry quickly into the safety of their sets. Once inside it’s impossible to get them out. Not a recommended catch for apprentices.Squirrels
Bright-eyed, bouncy little creatures with soft, bushy tails and long hairy pelts. Quick-moving and unpredictable, they’re easy to chase on the forest floor but once in a tree nearly impossible to catch. They populate the forest and can be found throughout the year up until leaf-bare when they hibernate. About the size of a young apprentice; their tails make them look bigger. Coats range in color from russet-red to black. An impressive catch for an apprentice, but usually easy for a warrior.Chipmunks
Plump, cute little rodents with bright black eyes and small paws and tails. Many kits find it sad that you’d hunt such a cute little creature, but they’re meat is extremely sweet and tender. Easy to find during the new-leaf and green-leaf moons, but only in the mountain peaks. Chipmunks used to be a stable in MountainClan cat’s diets when the camp was located up in the mountains. Their appearance is always a dusty-brown with three white and two black alternating stripes running down their backs to their tail, which is a vibrant white on the bottom. Though they are very small, they are extremely fast and can be dangerous to hunt on the slippery rocks of the mountains. They are not a recommended catch for inexperienced cats, especially apprentices.Shrews
Small, brown little rodents resembling Voles. Plump and filling, they make a good meal for a hungry cat, or two younger apprentices. Usually found near marshes or in the forest. Can be tricky to hunt if one is inexperienced, but usually an easy challenge.Fish
These scaly aquatic creatures come in a very large variety and can be found in nearly every water source in MountainClan, whether it be the lake or the Fishing Rocks, solely for catching these quick-swimming creatures. Depending on the type of fish, they can range in size from a mouse to a fox. Larger fish are more dangerous and are not recommended to be near or hunted. Usually only cats that are skilled in the water make good fishers, and it’s best to begin training apprentices how to fish when they’re a bit older, closer to their warrior naming.Frogs
These warty, slimy, hopping amphibians are not the most appetizing creatures on the list. They live in the marshes near the lake, and are always close to water, where they spend most of their life. They can range in colors from green to brown and have very squishy bodies. They are quick and unpredictable in their movements, making them difficult to catch. They have a unique and very disgusting taste that not many cats can choke down. Not only does their meat have a fowl taste, they smell terrible and you have to tear off their stretchy, moist skin to get to it. Also, eating frogs can cause illness, ranging from a stomach ache to a sore throat. It’s best to just let these creatures be.Snakes
Long, slithering reptiles that are very aggressive and hostile toward cats, or any creature. Their long, muscular bodies vary in size from that of a kit to a fox. However, larger snakes have been recorded throughout Clan history, though it is rare to find one larger than a warrior. Their scales vary in color and patterns. Make their homes almost anywhere, from the forest to the meadow; the caves to the water. Though because they are cold-blooded creatures, they tend to stay below the mountains, in the warmer areas of the Clan territory. Scaly and tough to chew, the catch of a snake is not usually prized, but one would be looked up to by apprentices and warriors alike, depending on how dangerous the snake was that the cat managed to take down. A good challenge for apprentices.Bats
These dark winged creatures are an impressive catch for even a seasoned warrior. They inhabit the caves in the mountains and are mostly seen in large groups during the evening as well as all through the night. Can range in size from a kit to an apprentice and are usually dark brown to black in color. Quick, and agile, nearly impossible to catch in the air. Make shrill, high-pitched screams when attacked or threatened. Not particularly tasty in any way as they’re mostly skin and bones but a catch will earn you bragging rights.Lizards
Cold-blooded reptiles that are tough and chewy, covered in scales, like a snake. Usually small in size, about a tail’s length long. Cold-blooded, they make their homes in the meadow, near the rocks and Tree Stones. Though they are little, they are extremely quick and agile, and they are a challenge to catch. Not that many cats go out to hunt lizards anyway, but they will earn any apprentice bragging rights. They don’t make a good meal, but they’re fun to chase.BIRDS
Starlings
Small little black birds with glossy, iridescent feathers. Located in the forest throughout the year. Have a low, persistent call. Usually an easy catch, even for apprentices, if timed correctly.Jays
Beautiful blue or black birds with loud, raucous calls. Seen throughout the year up until leaf-bare. One of the more difficult birds to catch as they are extremely quick.Robins
Pretty little brown birds with bright red breasts and large black eyes. Seen mostly throughout new-leaf. Have a cheery song. Usually easy to catch unless in flight.Chaffinches
Small, pretty colored birds with a variety of color on its wings, including pale green, black white, russet-brown and yellow. Has a clear, pitchy song that develops throughout their life. Usually easy to hunt.Sparrows
Small birds the size of a paw with interesting black, brown and lighter coloring with pretty calls. Easy to catch and found throughout the forest mostly through the year.Thrushes
Jumpy little birds, somewhat resembling a sparrow with various colors and combinations ranging from brown to white, usually with spots along the down the chest. Loud, persistent calls. An easy catch. Usually hunted by apprentices.---
Large Prey
These animals larger than most and are to be hunted by more experienced warriors. Some are so large that they are hunted in larger groups of cats, because they are harder to kill on lone hunting patrols. Only a select few are capable of hunting some of these big animals on their own.Gophers
Medium-sized, plump, tan and brown rodents with big eyes and small, pudgy legs. A filling meal for any cat clever enough to catch one. These mischievous little creatures are notorious for playing tricks on cats by popping up from one hole of their sets, getting a cats attention, and then running underground to another hole a little farther away. They make their homes throughout the Mountains and Meadow, and can be hunted all throughout the year. These challenging rodents are not recommended for apprentices, as the younger cats may tire of the rodents’ game, or get frustrated easily. Though they are challenging, it is easier to hunt gophers in a pair, and flush them out one hole to the next by turning their game around on them.Hares and Rabbits
Large rodents with big ears and soft pelts ranging in color from brown to white. Skittish, alert and incredibly fast; an impressive catch for even a seasoned warrior. They make their homes in the meadow and can be found there throughout the year. Hares, unlike Rabbits, are a challenge to catch because of their speed and agility – it takes a very fast cat to hunt a hare. Rabbits are slower, and usually easier to hunt. They both make good, filling meals for any cat.Skunk
Medium-sized, omnivorous rodents with soft black-and-white-striped pelts. Skunks can be found all through the year, though they are more common during the warmer months of new-leaf and green-leaf. They make their homes in small dens or trees throughout the meadow and forest and are seen usually alone or with their kits. Skunks produce a nasty smell if attacked or threatened, so hunting one must be done by seasoned warriors whose steps are softer than whispers. However, if a skunk is caught, their meat is soft and chewy, and makes a filling meal.Beaver
Huge, dark brown rodents, nearly as large as a fox, with big front teeth and large, flat tails which they use to make their dams along rivers. Beavers are easy to hunt on land, as their size doesn’t aid them well there, but they are extremely agile in the water. Because of their heavy weight, they’re a challenge to drag back to camp. They’re usually even-tempered unless provoked. A very prized catch, successfully hunting a beaver will lead to great admiration from Clanmates. Beaver meat is tough and gamey, but filling and moist. An overabundance of beavers does not reside in ThunderClan territory, but occasionally a family will settle in at the river during late new-leaf.Badger
Large omnivores with short, silvery-black fur and a white stripe running down their pointed muzzles. Small, beady black eyes, powerful shoulders and enormous, blade-like claws. They are muscularly built, and usually live alone or with their cubs. They have a very distinct, powerful smell. Can be found in the meadow or forest in caves, sets, bushes or trees, up or below them.
Aggressive, bold and strong. Hunting a badger is considered very foolish unless out of self-defense of the Clan. Hunting for sport is already frowned upon within the Clan, but eating a badger is even worse. Badger fur is coarse and wiry and hard to tear off to reach their sickeningly gamey meat. If one manages to get past their pelt, they reach very tough, hard muscles that are very unappetizing for any cat. Though it is rare for a cat to even consider eating badger, it has been done.Wolverine
Wolverines resemble badgers, with longer legs and an even fiercer temper. Their pelts are grey to black in color with white along their head and back. Huge claws grace their heavy paws and muscles ripple down their body below their thick pelts. Like Badgers, hunting a Wolverine for a meal or for sport is frowned upon and though it is impressive if one manages to successfully kill a wolverine, the Clan will not admire their strength because of the unnecessary kill. Those who enjoy badger meat will enjoy wolverine meat as well, as it is just as tough.Goat and Sheep
These herbivorous animals live up high in the mountain peaks. An excellent catch if one is capable. For warriors, they are usually easier to hunt. They do however present danger - one kick could break a cat's skull. Whereas sheep are more even tempered, their coats are very thick and take work to tear off. However their wool is generally used to line warrior nests and dens. Goats are swifter and faster along the rocks, and have a fiercer temper than sheep. They are also equipped with sharp cloven hooves and long rounded horns. Either one of these creatures make a delicious meal for any cat if they are skilled and swift enough to run along the harsh terrain of the forest. Now, they are usually caught for a banquet or celebration within the Clan, such as a victory in battle or birth of a leader’s kits, as dragging the body back to camp is a challenge that is both long and dangerous.Deer Kits (Fawns)
Though full-size adult deer are considered a threat to cats, their nearly defenseless young are not, and can be hunted frequently by seasoned warriors. Deer kits stand tall on their bony legs but are not particularly large. They’re muscular bodies are made up of mostly meat that is thick, tender and full of protein; an excellent and desired meal for any cat. Their russet-brown and white-spotted pelts are thin and easy to scrape off, but soft and is often used to line the queens’ nests’ in the nursery. Deer kits are usually easy catches for cats that have perfected their hunting skills, but it is uncommon to find one alone, without their mothers, who are much more dangerous. If one does manage to find a lone deer kit, the kill must be swift and quick as they bleat loudly for the protection of their mothers.Boar
These creatures are huge, coarse-pelted animals with large tusks protruding from their lips, flat noses, short tails and sharp, cloven hooves. They are aggressive and hostile toward all animals, even their own kind, and have incredible stamina. These creatures are a serious threat and will be listed as so. While these creatures are very dangerous and very difficult to hunt, they are desired for their thick, plentiful and tender meat. Boars make their homes in dens and burrows in the mountains and can be found throughout the year. However, it is uncommon to find many boar, let alone herds, around Clan territory.BIRDS
Grouse and Quail
Larger, ground birds with dark plumage. About the size of an apprentice, but can be larger. Not overly-abundant in the territory, but they are a nice catch if one can be found. Quick on their feet but usually an easy catch for an experienced warrior.Crows
Large, sleek black birds that make very loud, hoarse, persistent calls. Crows are active all through the year in all parts of the territory. Both cunning and intelligent, they have been known to play games with cats. ‘Crow-food’ was named after these birds’ habit of eating rotting food. An impressive catch for a warrior and apprentice alike.Owl
Silent, wise-looking birds of prey varying in size and color, from black to white. Though most owls are revered as a beautiful and strong bird of the night, they are still hunted by ThunderClan cats. Owls provide a very filling and hearty meal for any cat that is skilled enough to catch one. Owls are silent hunters and are large enough to catch a cat, so hunting one of these creatures presents a challenge and can be dangerous. Owls are active mostly during the night and can be found throughout the territory all through the year. If one is able to catch such a noble bird, you gain a very high level of respect from your Clanmates.Vultures
Large, black-plumaged birds with skinny necks and heads, notorious for feeding on crow-food. Vultures are considered the ‘maids’ of the forest, as they clean up all the dead animal carcasses that other animals leave about, unlike cats who bury their meal’s remains. Vultures have sharp beaks and talons, and are a challenge to hunt. Their meat is also very gamey and tough, tasting of all the leftovers they have consumed throughout their lives. Vultures make their nests in the taller trees and can be found there most often during the daylight from new-leaf through leaf-fall. Vultures can be aggressive, and though their taste is not the most desired, they are an impressive catch for any cat and will earn one a fair amount of praise.---
Forbidden Prey
Not many animals are forbidden to be eaten in ThunderClan, but there are a few. Punishments for hunting or killing any of the following animals can range from no fresh-kill to exile, or even death.Wolves
These dog-like animals are a menace, but never to be eaten. They are honored for their cunning and loyalty to their Clans, but they are a danger and will be listed as so. Wolves are large, dangerous creatures, and one should steer clear and alert the Clan and its’ leader if one is ever found on Clan territory. Though they are forbidden to be hunted, if a wolf is persistent in hunting any of the Clan cats or a cat is in a deadly situation with a wolf, killing the wolf in self-defense is allowed, as the wolf would only continue to hunt the cats.Bobcat, Lynx, or any Cat
Hunting or eating any of the creatures listed above is considered a form of cannibalism.
Wildcats (such as Lynx, Bobcat, Fishing Cat, etc.) have oftentimes shared blood with the kits of ThunderClan throughout history and are welcome on the territory as if they were Warriors of the Clan; they are expected to act as such. Trespassers are taken prisoner in the Camp and held until trial. However, the Clan is usually lenient on these cats, as long as they pose no threat, and often give an invitation to join the Clan. If the loner cat(s) refuse, they’re escorted out of Clan territory. Eating Cat flesh is highly frowned upon. Breaking this rule means being exiled from ThunderClan.Falcons, Hawks and Eagles (Includes Kits/Hatchlings)
These Birds of Prey have shared close ties with StarClan in ThunderClan’s beliefs. In this Clan’s myth, the Eagle represents StarClan’s will, wisdom and strength. The Hawk symbolizes the power and force of nature, and the Falcon signifies the majesty and beauty of all the forest. Each of these huge birds is forbidden to be hunted, and doing so can result in punishments ranging from a more lenient moon of little food, to being exiled.Dangers
Many threats to Clan life make their home in the huge terrain that is ThunderClan. Not only do other dangerous animals present a threat, but harsh weather conditions and stark seasons make it a challenging existence in the world of ThunderClan...Weathers
Whether it’s below freezing in the middle of leaf-bare, or 100-degrees during green-leaf, the weather of ThunderClan is ever-changing and always a challenging environment if you aren’t accustomed to the extremes.
Listed below are the averages of the seasons, from new-leaf through leaf-bare.New-leaf
The most moderate of the seasons, new-leaf introduces new life and warmth to the forest after the many long moons of snow. Though during the earlier moons of the season, it can be a bit chilly in the mornings, new-leaf is usually of moderate temperature. It brings the green after the dormant seasons of leaf-bare, and the heat as it begins to introduce green-leaf. It is usually rainy and calm, but with all the water there had been floods throughout Clan history, though they are rare. During the later moons it warms up quite a bit, and soon breaks into the warm summer months.Green-leaf
After new-leafs’ rainy afternoons and misty mornings, green-leaf brings heat after the calm. At this time, the vegetation is in full-bloom, and there are plenty of creatures scampering around in the forest. Though the heat can easily exhaust you if you’re out in the sun for too long, it is usually very temperate and comfortable in the mornings and evenings. Beware of dehydration and heat-waves during the hotter afternoons – it’s best to keep near water most of this season. Green-leaf is the second longest-lasting season, next to leaf-bare, and it stays warm for a long while before the leaf-fall chill begins to settle in during the later moons.Leaf-fall
This month brings chilly mornings and harsh winds, as the animals and foliage begin to fall into a calmer, more docile state, preparing for the long winter months ahead. It can be very cold during the night, and windy during the day, but the light chill it easier to bare than what lies ahead. Leaf-bare preparations begin during the middle of this season, to prepare the Clan for the snow and cold.Leaf-bare
This is the hardest and most aggressive season of all in the mountains. Snow begins to fall during the later moons of leaf-fall, but it sets in very soon after the temperature drops down to below freezing. Hypothermia, frost-bite and even avalanches threaten Clan life during the harsh conditions of leaf-bare – it’s best to stay near the camp and in the little sunlight there is as long as any cat can. Hunting is difficult and prey is scarce, but during the later months the sun begins to make an appearance once more, and the cycle begins again...Animals
A wide variety of dangerous animals make their homes in ThunderClan territory. There are specific ways to handle each and every different animal, and they all present various challenges and dangers to cats of the Clan. Most animals can be warded off with a large group of cats, but some are a cause for more concern.
Foxes
Russet-red furred, dog-like animals with bushy tails, sharp teeth and pointed noses. Usually live alone, or with their kits, but have been seen in pairs. Mean, suspicious and hostile, they don’t eat cats but they will kill for pleasure. They hunt mostly at night, though they have been spotted in the daylight, and they have a strong, unpleasant smell. Will bury their fresh-kill for later eating.
A fox’s presence means danger to Clan life and any sign of them must be reported to the Clan leader immediately.Badgers
Large omnivores with short, silvery-black fur and a white stripe running down their pointed muzzles. Small, beady black eyes, powerful shoulders and enormous, blade-like claws. Their muscular build and size make them a formidable threat to any cat. Usually live alone or occasionally in a pair, or with their cubs. They have a very distinct smell. Lives in caves, sets, which are tunnels underground, bushes or trees, inside or below them.
Aggressive, bold and strong. They have been known to feed on young cats if hungry enough. Can trample their victims with huge paws or deliver a deadly bite with their strong jaws; they’re tremendously powerful and it’s nearly impossible to escape their grip.Wolverine
Wolverines resemble badgers, only with longer legs and an even fiercer temper. Their pelts are grey to black in color with white along their head and back. Huge claws grace their heavy paws and muscles ripple down their body below their thick pelts. Can be found throughout the forest and valley, near the mountains, living in sets, trees or dens. Always solitary unless with their cubs. A wolverine is a very violent and savage hunter, and like boars, will pursue a cat relentlessly.Hawks
Large, carnivorous birds of prey that vary from black to dark russet to even white in color. Usually even-tempered and keep their distance from cats, they have been known to attack out of self-defense. Usually solitary unless with their kits and make their homes in trees in the Valley. Hard to scent if one is not accustomed to their smell. Will attack in a flash by swooping in from above. Sharp claws and beaks, and incredible sense of smell and eye-sight make them very dangerous creatures to fight. It is against ThunderClan beliefs and code to ever kill or hunt these huge birds, but if being attacked it is permitted to defend oneself.Eagles
Slightly larger than Hawks, most of their appearance is the same. Have larger wings, claws and beaks, and their coloring varies from black to grey. Live on their own or in a permanent pair with their kits. Like Hawks, Eagles are usually even-tempered and it is uncommon for one to attack a cat unless suffering from starvation or in self-defense. It is a serious offense to ThunderClan code to hunt or kill one of these huge, majestic birds unless in defense of oneself.Owls
Silent, wise-looking birds of prey varying in size and color, from black to white, equipped with large, powerful eyes, huge talons and small, dagger-sharp beaks. Though most owls are revered as a beautiful and strong bird of the night, they are still hunted by ThunderClan cats, and are a challenge to do so. Owls are silent hunters and are most active during the night – it’s always been safest to stay within the protection of the camp walls at night, listen to the elders. They can be found throughout territory all through the year.Vultures
Large, black-plumaged birds with skinny necks and heads, notorious for feeding on crow-food. Vultures are considered the ‘maids’ of the forest, as they clean up all the dead animal carcasses that other animals leave about, unlike cats who bury their meal’s remains. Vultures have sharp beaks and talons, and are a challenge because of their tenacity.
Their meat is also very gamey and tough, tasting of all the leftovers they have consumed throughout their lives. Vultures make their nests in the trees on the high peaks of the mountains and can be found there most often during the daylight from new-leaf through leaf-fall. Vultures can be aggressive, and though their taste is not the most desired, they are an impressive catch for any cat and will earn one a fair amount of praise.Boar
Huge, coarse-pelted animals with large tusks protruding from their lips, flat noses, short tails and sharp, cloven hooves. Hair differs in color from brown to black. Aggressive and hostile, will attack if in sight. Will not eat cats but will kill and are relentless in their chase. They are extremely fast and very large, and it is extremely dangerous if you come across one of these creatures. They are bold and won’t back down – they also have incredible stamina and don’t tire easily.Dogs
Size varies from that of a kit to a pony. Fur can be long or short in a variety of colors. Can have pointy or flat noses, droopy or sharp ears. Make loud, angry growls and love chasing cats. They live mostly in twoleg nests or barns.
Loud, fast and sharp-toothed. Many dogs seem to be devoted to their twolegs and are only in their company. Though there are a select few that are intelligent, there is a theory that most dogs are too dim-witted to truly be dangerous. However, packs of dogs are always to be feared.Wolves
Large, sharp-toothed, dog like animals with thick pelts that come in a variety of colors. Sharp, erect ears and long muzzles that house a set of teeth specially made for tearing flesh. Wolves are extremely dangerous.
They usually travel in small packs and are hard to find. They follow herds of deer so though their existence in ThunderClan territory is on and off. They will make an appearance every so often.
They are extremely loyal to their packs and have complex hierarchy systems, which usually consist of an alpha female and male, and their offspring.
Though they are one of the three most dangerous animals in ThunderClan, it is forbidden by ThunderClan law to ever hunt one of these creatures unless need be; that is, the wolf is persistent in pursuing Clan cats and presents a danger that won’t let up. They are equipped with extremely sharp senses, huge claws and thick pelts that are hard to bite through and they have a very distinct smell.Bear
Bears are arguably the most dangerous – if not the largest – animals in ThunderClan. Although they are extremely rare, there have been stories of huge black bears with enormous claws and thick pelts traveling through the territory.
Huge, ranging in size from a dog to larger than a twoleg. They are usually solitary unless caring for their cubs, and though they aren’t usually known for their tempers, they undoubtedly have one. They are omnivores, eating meat of vegetation, but they mostly dine on berries and grasses or any other fruits or they can find. They possess massive claws. This, combine with their size and weight make it possible for bears to knock down small trees. However, despite their heavy-weight class, they can just as easily climb a larger tree as they can knock one down. Bears don’t usually kill cats, as they are exceedingly rare. Sighting a bear – though it is so unusual - means extreme danger and the leader of the Clan is to be alerted immediately.Deer
Swift, sharp hoofed herbivores with wide black eyes and thin, brown pelts. They are extremely quick and skittish. Though their offspring are considered a source of prey, adult deer can be extremely dangerous, especially if one is hunting their kit. Deer are abundant throughout ThunderClan territory throughout the year, though they are harder to find during the cooler seasons. Albeit they are herbivores and do not possess razor-sharp teeth or talons, they are swift on their sharp-hooved feet and it always comes down to fight or flight with them – if they can’t run, they will attack. It’s unwise to attack a full grown deer, especially males, who are proud owners of hard racks which they will use to charge with. Deer will buck, kick and even bite when threatened and they cannot escape – females can be even more dangerous than males if they are caring for young.Insects
Many are surprised when these small creatures are mentioned in the list of dangers. read on to see just what the warriors warn their apprentices about...Wasps
Small, frightening looking winged insects with black and white or yellow stripes. Big black eyes and sharp stingers. They live in large nests in the trees which are usually hard to reach. Unlike honey-bees, wasps repeatedly sting their victims and they have been known to attack if you get to close or jostle their hive. Dangerous mostly to small kits or elderly cats. Attack in huge swarms if their hives are attacked. Dormant in leaf-bare and more active during the warm months of green-leaf. Aggressive and temperamental – best to steer clear of them altogether.Locust
Uncommon insects with long, green bodies and big legs. Unpleasant taste. It’s not a regular sight to see swarms of these bugs in ThunderClan, and they are usually only seen one by one in the meadow during New-leaf and Green-leaf. Though these disgusting-tasting insects are not a direct threat, they eat away plants like a storm and arrive every few years by the hundreds. Once the plants are destroyed, fresh-kill dies of famine and there is nothing left to hunt. Locust swarms are extremely rare, and only have been recorded in Clan history once.Plants
Like animals, ThunderClan also offers one of the largest varieties of plants and is home to several dangerous species, including Deathberries and Nightshade. These plants can cause severe illnesses - even Medicine Cats have yet to find a cure for these strange herbs and flowers...
(For more information on plants and herbs, go here)]Arrowgrass
One of the least dangerous plants within ThunderClan territory, Arrowgrass is commonly spotted in the meadow, as well as several over grasses, with the hardy wildflowers nestled in between its long green stalks.
If ingested, this plant can cause uncomfortable stomach pains or vomiting, but not much else. Medicine Cats have several antidotes for both of those, so this plant isn’t truly to be feared as it is not deadly.Baneberry
Baneberry, or Bugbane, is a type of flowering plant which can be found throughout the forest near the lake in MountainClan territory. The waxy, red or white colored fruit of the Baneberry contains cardiogenic toxins that can have immediate sedative effects on both cats and twolegs if ingested, and can be poisonous or fatal. It is also toxic to rabbits.Hellebore
The Hellebore is a toxic evergreen perennial flowering plant found near the pine and evergreen trees in the mountains. Ingesting the acrid tasting blossoms, stems or leaves of this plant can cause a cat burning of the eyes, vertigo, dryness or swelling of the tongue and throat, vomiting or even death from heart failure.Larkspur
This tall flower grows abundantly in the meadow and alpine areas of ThunderClan territory, and creates quite a breathtaking scene during green-leaf, especially at sunrise, when the light just breaks over the horizon and lights the violet and blue blossoms afire. As beautiful as these plants might be, if any part of it is ingested, it will cause severe digestive discomfort and/or skin irritation. Fatal occurrences are extremely uncommon.Locoweed
This rather humorously named plant is a small, purple blooming flower toxic to usually only most hoofed animals, if ingested. The locoweed is another plant less likely to cause more than irritation in cats – the only thing to really worry about is if consumed deer meat had been affected by the disease which they can catch from the plant blossoms. It can be found near the base of the mountain near the meadow, but only in unusually wet seasons during new-leaf and green-leaf.Moonseed
Named for its crescent-shaped seed, the Moonseed is a woody climbing vine with thick leaves and clustered purple-black fruit which resembles grapes or blueberries. It is not to be confused with the latter, however, as all parts of this plant are known to be poisonous and can be fatal if ingested. -
Destineyheart
The young queen rolled over onto her side, her belly plump with kits. The she-cat pulled herself to sit on her haunches and breathed in.
Quartzpaw
The young apprentices had been dozing in the apprentices' den when he yawned, after awaking. He lifted himself to his long legs and stretched his legs. He leapt forward before appearing just outside the den.
Moonie
The young loner padded outside the cat's area. She didn't know it was a camp, but she knew cats lived there. This kitten was nervous. She had been raised by wolves and had only left their care a moon ago. She had never lived near cats, and had a wolf tendancy. She stalked like a wolf, her shoulder blades coming up as she walked. She was double-jointed and it was one reason her mother left her to die. The wolves had found her, and she know circled an odd place full of odd cats.
