    Finally feeling strength within his wings again, Pit flapped rapidly before he lost more altitude, and he sweatdropped, smiling reluctantly to himself. "That's okay. Thanks for the help!" The angel responded, immediately perking up at the mention of the sweet things. "Hm? Chocolate of course!" He replied enthusiastically, his blue eyes sparkling with excitement. "Are you making something else too? Is it sweet? Can I have some too?" A smiled appeared on Pit's face then and, remembering he had a job to do, quickly sped forward in the direction of the garden in search of the tomatoes.

    Ooc; Alright, sounds good to me! Also, sorry for the shorter post; rushed.

    Ic; Henry observed them quietly as they conversed, gripping tightly the rag he had forgotten he was holding. He blinked curiously. Combat? A seed of nervousness planted itself inside him then, but when Xavier turned to him, he couldn't help but smile in return, and he nodded with a glow of affection, "Of course, Young Master." The boy replied, before peering around the other to glance at Kade as he made to leave. Henry bit his lip anxiously, then added, "And...be careful." He locked eyes with Xavier intently, with sudden solemn countenance, "Please."

    Ic; Henry was preparing to continue his search when he felt a sudden weight lean against his back, and he froze in shock for a second before carefully glancing up to see Gensey peering down at him. He quickly blinked the rest of the moisture out of his eyes and mumbled, "Yes, Young Master..." Henry continued to look at the other for a long moment, then lowered his head shamefully, his dark bangs curtaining over his face, "I understand why you don't want to tough..and I'd hate to force you. I just...don't want you to get in trouble." He knit his brow earnestly, "As your valet, I'm suppose to help you keep a good appearance.."

    Ooc; Thank you ^^; Nah that's perfectly fine, I'm glad you're enjoying it!

    Ic; Looking like he wanted to protest slightly, Henry sat back in his seat, not completely reassured, but more than anything he believed in his master's abilities. When the hologram machine began running, the young servant tentatively reached down to grip the underside of the stool with stiff fingers, and soon the flaunting show began. As the monsters began to materialize, obviously illusions but looking very real in Henry's opinion, he suddenly felt as though a great weight had been abruptly lifted off his head, and a dizzying sensation gripped him almost as tightly as he was the rag. Oh, he'd forgotten again. Whenever Henry saw one of those creatures, no matter now holographic they were, an uncontrollable wave of terror would never fail to wash over him, and he desperately had to remind himself that they were, indeed, fake. Only the faint-hearted boy found it horrifying that monstrous beings like that actually existed in the real world. Henry nearly pinched himself at that. Stop thinking about it, you fool! You'll only make yourself pass out! You have one job right now, that's to support the Young Master. And that's what you must do. Though his internal struggle wasn't helped much when he saw the creatures now attacking Xavier, and his breath hitched even though the older boy easily defeated his opponents. It took a while, but eventually Henry was able to distract himself from the fear by concentrating intensely on the other boy and how he swiftly evaded the onslaught of tooth and fang, although the younger's face was growing rather pale from the phobia and effort.

    Ooc;

    Ic; The boy felt his face heat up at the other's remark, so he kept his head turned away to hide his now rose-colored cheeks. Henry scurried after the other, following him into the room where the others waited, and he cautiously peered around Gansey to be greeted by the glares he could practically feel burning into his skin. When the mistress Jemma suddenly called him out, he instinctively ducked his head in guilt, bright green eyes darkening in submission as they hid behind a black curtain. "I-I'm sorry, milady..." Henry softly stammered out, staring fervently at the grassy floor. His tongue fought for words of excuse but he quickly thought better of it and remained quiet, mentally preparing himself for some kind of consequence as a small spark of fear ignited inside him. He'd always been intimidated by Gansey's older siblings, for Henry sometimes got the feeling that they didn't like him all that much.

    "Right, I'm getting them now!" Pit assured, swooping down upon the leafy bushes of green and red, soon shifting through their vines to find the ripest tomatoes. "Heh heh...that sounds kinda' painful. I hope you're joking..." He chuckled nervously, then paused for a moment in thought. "But I wonder...if I ate them, would that make me a cannibal?" The angel was suddenly interrupted from his contemplation by a rather loud 'boom' that came from the opposite end of the telepathy connection, and he stiffened anxiously, "Lady Paluntena, are you alright?!" Pit's brow furrowed. "Carrots? I thought we still had some..." He heaved a sigh, "Alright, if you say so." By now he already had basket filled with the red fruit, so he took off once again to the opposite side of the garden, looking for the next ingredient.

    Ooc;

    Ic; When the practice was finally over, Henry's shoulders visibly slacked in relief, though his mental state was still rather fogged. He gave Xavier a pallid smile when the older turned to him once again, and the valet could plainly see his expression was indomitably triumphant. Kade spoke to him then, and Henry nodded feebly, shakily getting to his feet to examine the Young Master's wounds. He regarded the noble with a raised brow, "They could still get infected. I'm not taking any chances." He replied laconically, returning to the edge of the room where a shelf stood. Upon it stacked several gauze pads as well as ointment, and the servant quickly selected the needed material, rather well educated in the art of medications. Henry then walked back over to the other and applied the substances, going straight to wrapping the other's arms with a thin medical tape, casting a sidelong look at his patient as he worked, then stepped back when the job was done. "I suppose it looks a bit worse that it actually is, but leave those on, alright?" He instructed, all traces of his previous ill state gone, now replaced by a an air of authority. Henry--more or less--usually got this way whenever he wanted to make sure Xavier wouldn't disregard taking care of himself.

    Ooc;

    Ic; The valet followed his movements but was taken aback by this. "W-What do you mean?" He stuttered, hesitating at first to follow Xavier as he proceeded to leave. "Wait. Then you wanted me to get in trouble?" By now Henry had caught up with the noble and was studying the other carefully, trying to figure out if Xavier was joking or not. He had to admit, he was rather intrigued by his master's utterance, but Henry didn't want to look like he was too interested in the matter, though it took some effort not to press further. The boy clicked his tongue, an apprehensive look shading his face, and he glanced away nonchalantly. "Well...what was it?" He finally murmured casually, gazing at the bronze windowsills as if they were the most interesting thing in the world.

    [/fancypost]

    Pit shrugged. "Maybe. I could have asked him earlier for you, you know." He replied matter-of-factly, just then finishing filling the basket he was holding with carrots when she mentioned she needed more. "W-Wait. Really? Uh..okay. That seems like an awfully large quantity though, milady...Just how much food are you making?" The angel hoisted the whicker basket up on to his shoulder, going over to grab another one, and he sighed, sweatdropping. "At this rate I don't know how much I'll be able to carry back home~"

    Ooc;

    Ic; Henry blinked in surprise as the other boy blocked him from the other's view, and he bent to peek around from Gansey's figure. He glanced between each of the other nobles, keeping silently to himself, before the Lord of the house finally arrived. The small boy lowered his gaze from meeting the man's and he remained there quietly, waiting for orders or to be told to move out of the way. He wasn't particularly fond of these lessons himself, though a subconscious part of Henry told him to attend to support his master, and that's what he intended to do no matter how much dislike or disregard shown in the other nobles' eyes. In truth, the valet was used to being looked down upon in distain, so experiencing it now was no different, but if Henry had learned anything it was that holding one's tongue and simply doing as told would most likely prevent any worse situations.

    Ooc;

    Ic; Henry watched the other boy bolt down the hall, dumbstruck for a half a second before stumbling forward to dash after him, and as he did he exhaled in irritation toward himself. It was silly of him to think Xavier would explain as simply as that. Henry nearly tripped over his own feet as he narrowly avoided crashing into a cabinet when he turned a corner, though he was able to successfully regain his speed once again. He then jerked his head up to throw a glance at the noble who was running to escape his pursuit, and Henry hopelessly reached up to brush out of the way his own hair that was threatening to fall into his eyes. After what seemed like a long while of getting nowhere, the boy swallowed hard. I don't know how much longer I can keep this up... Gathering himself, he forced his legs to boost him ahead one last time, and, by some miracle that had been bestowed upon him, or perhaps merely by pure luck, the boy reached an arm out and was able to catch a grip on the back of Xavier's sleeve. Eyes widening with sudden shock, Henry's legs automatically pulled back, making him come to an abrupt halt, still desperately clutching the other's shirt between his fingers. Gasping for breath, he now peered up at the noble with an indescribable expression, as if torn between pride, embarrassment, and a fear that he might have done something wrong.

    Ooc; Do you think we should have the main scene come up soon, or wait a bit more? Just asking, but I'm fine with anything ^^

    Ic; Henry stood motionlessly fretting in another delayed pause, then briskly retracted his arm to where he clasped his wrist with his other hand in a vice grip. "I-I should hope so." He mused, dragging his eyes away from the face before him to some other less-interesting point in space. A shy smile grazed his lips, and a soft chuckle escaped him, "You're very nice...thank you, Young Master." On the surface the statement might have seemed like an off-hand murmur of gratitude, but Henry spoke with such an air of sincerity that as soon as the words passed through his lips he immediately felt too serious. The boy coughed awkwardly, though this was more of an automatic reaction, and rose to clarify, "I- mean I'm very grateful!" He lifted his hands in defense against a fluster of imaginary attack.

    Ooc; Sounds good! Maybe Xavier could eat outside for some reason so the scene can later lead into it?

    Ic; Henry recoiled slightly at the other's touch and an eye fluttered shut. Despite the hesitant reaction, he actually enjoyed the sensation in an odd sort of way. The familiarity and reassurance of Xavier's hand was rather comforting, and the younger boy's shoulders visibly relaxed in late response, though he was so caught up in his own array of thoughts that the slight change of the noble's countenance color was overlooked. At the mention of food, Henry's lowered oculars blinked, then flashed up expectantly, causing the valet to stand up straighter, "Uh...right!" He agreed, scampering after the other faithfully, "Shall I go ask the chef to make you dinner?" Henry was suddenly aware of his own hunger that was beginning to gnaw at him with irking force, though he knew he'd be able to ignore it without much trouble for the time being. It wasn't particularly because he didn't want to be a pain--well, maybe that was half of it--but it had become more than a habit of his to put his master's needs before his own. Sure, this was the fundamental law of any and all servants. However, this principle had been forever engraved within Henry's basic rules of conduct specifically towards Xavier alone.

    A long time ago, during the old years of England, lived two noble houses; each were loyal to the Queen, and were known for carrying out her will. However, what most did not know about these two houses was that each had been bestowed a supernatural power that was passed down through the family lines in order to fulfil their service to Her Majesty.
    One house received the power of light and all things that fall under it, while the other received the power of darkness and everything it controls. These powers were used to rid the country of any monstrous creatures that threatened the people--as well as keep them in secrecy--and these abilities continued through the bloodlines of the nobles, being passed on through the generations. Only those with the blood of either house could receive a power, but, a gift is only as good as its user.
    The estate with the power of light, or the Dawn House, as it soon came to be called, had a much better reputation among the people of England. For its family was of good nature, and served its people kindly. While the estate with the power of darkness, the Twilight House, was rather disliked and feared by those who knew its name. Both carried out their duties though, and served the Queen with honor. Nevertheless, each had an extreme hatred for one another, a rivalry. In fact, it was not uncommon for members of each house to try to provoke the other—or even try to kill one another.
    This is where our story begins.
    Your character is the son of the Lord of Dawn House, and his valet, Henry, has been his loyal servant since they were both little kids. Actually, your character was the one who saved Henry all those years ago. Your character had spotted him passed out on the estate property, and when he awoke he had no recollection of where he had come from or who he was.
    Since the family was already planning to hire a servant for the boy, Henry was named and made your character’s personal valet, and the child seemed just fine with taking up the offer. Your character was happy about this as well. By being a noble, he had never had many friends, but after Henry's arrival he could finally have someone to play with. So now, several years later, Henry and your character have a very close relationship.
    Ever since that first day, Henry had begun to look up to your character. He was a year his senior, and Henry saw something in the older boy that nobody else seemed to. He admired his outgoing, cheerful personality, and optimistic outlook on anything that tried to diminish his playful attitude. Well, maybe a little bit too playful. Every once and a while your character would pick on him, or make him panic over things for the fun of it--but Henry never held the teasing against his Master.
    He knew that your character was, at heart, a very good person. A person he wanted to protect no matter what, and that’s what he vowed to himself he would do. Though, this would be a challenge considering the fact that Henry was a shy and worrisome boy, far less rowdy then your character.
    Though one day while the two were playing outside, an aforementioned creature was somehow able to breach the estate's boundaries undetected, and it attempted to attack your character when he wasn’t paying attention. However, before the beast could lay a claw on your character, Henry--out of sheer panic and wanting to protect his master--suddenly released a power upon the monster that he hadn’t realized he possessed.
    It was soon discovered that this power was, in fact, that of the Twilight House, and Henry was told begrudgingly that he must have been some relative of the other estate, much to his dismay.

    What will become of his and your character’s relationship now?

    {Sounds good! Alright, works for me. Same here. ^^}

    Where is he?! Henry shuffled through the long corridor of the Dawn Manor, head whipping back and forth frantically as he passed each open hallway, desperately hoping to catch somewhat of a glimpse of the boy he called his master. Emerald colored eyes were round with worry from behind a curtain of charcoal-black hair, and he absently fiddled with a loose cloth between his hands. One of the maids had told him to fetch Eden so he could get ready for his ability lessons, but now the boy was nowhere to be seen, and to be honest, Henry was beginning to get worried. He passed by a tall set of windows that exposed the dark sky outside, swathing in shafts of moonlight as they filtered through the branches of the looming sycamore trees. Henry paused for a moment to gaze out into the inky landscape, then after a while, adjusted his eyes to peer at his own reflection upon the glass surface.
    The servant sighed.
    Willing himself to continuing his search, he turned yet another corner for the umpteenth time, and making his way across the hall, opened the door to the young master's bedroom. The small boy hesitantly glanced between the crack created by the opened door and the wall, checking to see if Eden happened to be lounging on his bed or sketching at his desk, but with no luck. Henry bit his lip, a distraught expression appearing on his features as he clutched the iron doorknob more tightly between his fingers.
    "I'm going to be the one to get in trouble for this, aren't I?..." He whimpered helplessly to himself, closing the door to the room quietly. He turned around to press his back against the intricately-designed woodwork behind him, and gave a long sigh, sweatdropping in hopeless exasperation.
