Igneous was roused by the sound of Snow. Had he been dreaming? He went to check on her, but her scent, and hers alone was lungent at the entrance. He didnt have to go inside to know she wouldnt be there. He spun on hind quarters, tearing from the paxks camp. He breathed heavy, in attempt to catch her scent, when he heard a distant howl. He raced after the noise, flanks heaving, thinking of nothing but the little white pup. He refused to slow, and hoped he would catch up to her soon.
-
Igneous looked at Sambe. "Go and tell South what has happened," he barked sharply. His nose to the ground he searvhed for her scent. His hackles began to raise and a low growl set in his throat. They were here, somewhere. "Come out," the black brute challenged, fangs bared.
-
Igneous heard her voice again, and moved swiftly to it. There were brambles in his way, but he was sure she was there. "Snow?" He called out, worry lacing his tone.
-
Hearing her yelp only heightened Igneous's desire to help her. He knew she had spoken something to her, but her young voice had been to soft to hear properly. He vaguely recognised the word 'trap'. Trap? he considered it, but decided he did not care. He pawed at the prickly shrubs, though they cut his pads, and slowlt began removing the burden.

Veronique feigned nonchalance, "It would be interesting to know if there are others like it," she mused.
-
Veronique wondered if his mother would recognise her, she looked a lot like her mother, after all. "Alright," she said, figuring it was too good an opportunity to pass.
-
Veronique moved unatturally gracefully, like a snake on water; beautiful but eery. Her arm brushed ever so lightly against his as they walked.
-
Veronique nodded absently. "Whayt of your father," she queried "is he here?"
-
She allowed the frustration to drain through her, never gracing her pretty face. "So now what?"
-
Veronique gave him a wicked smile. "Or we could skip that part," she added with a wink. She didnt want to lie anymore, they were hard to keep up with, after all.
-
Veronique pulled back from him, and looked at his mother. She didnt know what to do. "Do I know you?" She asked, referring to the gasp.
-
The girl played coy. "I dont know my parents, I'm an orphan," she lied.
-
Veronique gave a soft smile, "It's nice to meet you," she said, despite a terrible feeling it wasnt.
-
"Should i come back another time?" She asked.
-
She nodded sadly. Hoping not to have lost her only chance.
-
Veronique nodded with a smile, and left.

Brayer had a terrible problem. He was curious. His jet black nose sought smells unknown and his paws felt more confident of ground untrodden. Not unfamiliar with danger, but not actively seeking it, the russet-furred wolf had become a touch gruff in his travels. He had started out as naive and a slave to his curiosity, but the places he had been, the wonders he had laid golden eyes upon, seemed to make up for it. As he bloomed into adulthood he had lost most of the childlike wonder that had characterised his puphood, but the lust for adventure promised never to leave him. He found himself headed towards the Meadow of Moonlight, a known meeting place for wolves, an unusual setting for a 'rogue' like himself. The brute could not help but feel lonesome. What good was seeing the world if you had no one to share it with? Companion or mate, he hoped to find someone with that same insatiable appetite for new things.

Kiyak heard the telltale grumble of a truck coming over the rise. He scratched at the collar around his neck again the tracker attached making the buzzing noise it always made when the trucks came. He had tried to no avail to rid himself of it, and was growing tired of the trucks finding him. Stress showed through his heavy movements. Bothersome humans. He thought. They always happened upon him while he was trying to nap or hunt. Disturbing his ability to do either. He flashed his fangs at the truck as it drew near. He was no longer afraid of the humans, only irritated, and his tail lashed low along the ground. Out of a window a chunk of festering meat was thrown. Despite the ribs poking from his soft coat, he turned his nose up at the offering. If they would only give me some peace I could hunt. They lingered for a while, till his disinterest bored their small attention span, and the truck rolled into the horizon. Somewhere in the distance he heard the female leopard roar. They had been tactfully avoiding each other for a while now, but he wondered if she might be able to bite the collar off.
It was worth a try.
Anything was worth a try. He willed his tired muscles to move, and with an open pallet tasting the scents nearby he headed for the female. -
