the shadowclanner kept putting one foot in front of the other until she thought she heard some kind of grumbling. she sniffed the air and a strong scent she didn't know hit her nostrils. she twitched her brown ears and called out, "is anyone there?"

"i'm solaris. mortem-macabre." she blinked curiously. "who are you ?" she asked slowly. he hadn't attacked her straight away, which seemed to be a good sign.

"its okay, i'm smart enough to know i wouldn't stand a chance against you." she sat down as well, her paws feeling achey from all the walking she'd been doing. the shadowclanner wasn't quite prepared for the question. she lowered her head a bit. "oh. um. i much prefer nature to other beings. it has a calming effect." she smiled as she remembered the stream back home that was untouched by anyone except her. it was her favorite place.
