Joan shot a sympathetic look at Gellon, before struggling to her feet, grasping the wall for support. She sheathed her blade and pulled her damp staff from its straps on her back, using it to lean on. "You're right." She staggered behind their leader, looking forward with determination and confidence, as alert as ever. Joan glanced down at the torrent of water beside them before offering, "It'll show up somewhere, maybe wherever they dump sewage outside the Walls." Joan grunted as she shifted her staff to her other hand.
( Okies :) )

She raised an eyebrow at him. "No," she answered bluntly, "I'm fine as I am." She offered no gratefulness for the offer and strode on ahead, making a point of looking strong and confident. "I don't need powers for every time I get a bruise, " Joan jeered harshly. "Quit doddling, and let's get a move on."

Um, well in response to that, my favorite color is actually Yellow
Poor yellow, you're such a happy color. And yet everyone seems to hate you so... >w< -
Woah, now that's just getting too personal. Doesn't this website advise us not to reveal anything personal about ourselves? Hoo-rah for rules!

( Shhh, just kidding. It's freaking Purple. )

(Also, I'm not sure what I should post at this point, and it's real late for me. I'm going to bed, okay? I'll be on again tomorrow. Or, rather, later today. ^^ G'night!)

(I'm waiting for LastSurvivor to have Gellon to say some stuff before I post or whatever :P )

"Okay then, lead the way," Joan replied, falling back to let their leader take the head of the group. Her face was hardened to let no sign of emotion show, especially any hint that she was in pain, as she most certainly was. Joan fell behind, taking step next to Evie, who she hadn't noticed join the group before. She didn't offer any kind of greeting to the blonde-haired girl.
( Main leader-looking guy: Gellon, the rest of us are following him through the sewers to get out of the Colony and beyond the walls. A bug-lke creature attacked from the water and grabbed Gellon, pulling him under. Joan and Delilah rescued him, but he sort of died, but was brought back to life by his plants. Woohoo~ Oh, and Joan got injured, too, but whatevs :P )
-
"And here I was thinking that those plants were supposed to heal you," Joan looked at Gellon, "Pity." In just a flicker of sympathy, Joan leaned down, one hand holding onto her staff, and offered a hand to help him up. "We need to get going. If an alien ship doesn't find us soon, then one of their monsters will. Here," Joan motioned to her staff, "If you need this to lean on, go ahead." Then she mumbled to herself, "You certainly look worse off than I do."
-
Joan helped Gellon up, slightly annoyed by the water, but sopping wet anyway from her dip in the sewer anway. She flicked her hood up, over her light hair, as Taylor grabbed her arm. She followed where he was pointing and nodded in understanding. She reached and and tapped Gellon's shoulder to get his attention, careful to remain as quiet as possible.

( Mkay

(Mhm, and I replied with Joan acknowledging the fact that Taylor had spotted an alien, nodding to him, and then trying to report it to Gellon :) )
-
( Shhhh, it's okay. I derp at times, too
... Sometimes even more 8) ) -
"Shhh..." Joan shushed Delilah quietly, motioning towards the alien above them. "A sentry. It hasn't noticed us yet," Joan looked at Gellon, "What do you recommend we do?" Joan put a hand on her hip. "I say we get going before it sees us, besides," she continued, "There may be more up there."
-
Joan stayed close to the sewer walls, keeping a trained eye on the alien above them. She held her staff at the ready as she silently followed behind Taylor. A sound caught her attention and she looked across the sewer, where she saw what seemed like a mouse scuttle along the path on the other side. Momentarily distracted, she almost lost her footing on the slippery sewer ground, but quickly righted herself and strode on, trying not to cringe with each careful step.
( Sorry that this post is kind of pointless >m< I'm sort of "muse-less" right now )

Joan looked over her shoulder to check on those bringing up the rear, including their leader who had fallen behind, when she saw Gellon stop to take a rest. She halted and looked at Delilah as the blue-haired girl stopped as well. She heard Evie and changed the subject, rather than offer an answer to her question. "Well," Joan said, sinking carefully to the ground, "Might as well take a break." She motioned to the others to do the same.
-
Joan watched as the empty space where water had once been roaring, flooded with a torrent of water from both sides, crashing together, creating large waves that well exceeded its confines. She took a step back as a thin layer of water brushed over her feet. The sewage slowly sunk back down to its usual current, albeit still a bigger than before, thanks to the rain. Joan shot Delilah and Taylor both a look. "Don't," she said, her voice stern and as cold as Delilah's ice, "Did it not occur to you that something just may have heard that?" She gripped her dagger's hilt tightly, frustrated. "It is not my job to scold you people like children," Joan pointed an accusing finger at the two of them, addressing them both. She sighed and leaned back on the sewer walls. Crossing her arms in thought, she muttered, "Well, I'm not your mother and you should have some better sense than that."
-
"There is no bad side," Joan muttered, "Only the real situation at hand." And with that, she ended the argument, her very tone portraying that she wasn't going to discuss it any further. She plopped down on the ground, next to Delilah, and couldn't help but cringe as she sat. "Damn," she groaned as she checked her injuries. The swelling had gotten worse and, where there were bruises, her skin had turned a sickly color. Her belt held a few basic medical supplies in a side pouch, and from it she withdrew a role of bandages and a couple of metal clips. She looked over at Delilah, "Could you help me with this?" She asked, all previous signs of frustration gone.
-
"No. Just hold this right here..." Joan put the end of the role of bandages right on her hip, just under a big welt. "See, what I'm doing here is wrapping the swollen area, which should help to decrease the swelling," she paused momentarily, lost in thought. She clenched her hand around the metal clips resting in her palm. Snapping out of her thought, she held the clips up, "After I wrap it, I'll use these to hold the bandages down. Usually with an open wound you should place a disinfected pad over it first, to prevent it from getting infected. But because this is all internal, it'll be fine without one." She spoke confidently, not a doubt in her mind that she knew what she was doing.
-
"Yes, I've heard of Arnica." Joan began wrapping the bandages around the swollen area as she spoke, "It's expensive, nowadays. I know about it, though- sure would be good right now..." She trailed off as she worked, tearing the end of the cloth off its roll. Finishing, she tucked each end of the bandage underneath the rest of it, and clipped them together. Joan put the rest of the roll and clips in her belt pocket. Leaning back she sighed and paused for a moment, watching as Gellon accepted some ice from Delilah. "You know what," she began, looking over at Delilah, " I think I will have that ice. Maybe try freezing the inside of the bandage?"
Joan looked over at Gellon as she heard how shaky his voice was. "Hey, Leaderman, you alright over there?"
