The forest right outside the safe haven of Xectia was quiet. The occasional cry of a hawk and footsteps of deer were some of the only sounds to be heard. Kindle, the giant Kirin and Royal Sorcerer, was sitting beneath a dying oak tree. He slashed away at the tough bark with his powerful claws. Beside him was a medium sized glass jar of bark collected earlier. He planned on using them in a healing elixir of sorts once the bark had completely dried.
Relatively satisfied with his collection, Kindle carefully plugged the jar of oak bark with a cork as he tried to not crush it. He then picked it up in his mouth and began his trek back to the castle.

Kindle snorted as he walked through the castle gates. He could already smell the millions of suitors trying to shower the princess with gifts proclaiming their 'love'. It was annoying to be honest. He had to deal with a bunch of brainless pretty boys every day. Prilea must hate it with every fiber of her being. At least he didn't have to marry one of them.
Kindle shoved the doors open and entered the palace with his head held high. His all too obvious disliking of the suitors was showing with full colors. His golden eyes challenging all who dared look him in the eye. He about tackled one to the ground because of their failure to get out of the way fast enough. Without opening his mouth and dropping the jar, he gave a nasty snarl and then stalked up to his chambers.

Kindle put the jar up on a shelf and sighed.
"It was a good morning... The the suitors arrived." His tail thrashed around angrily at the mere thought of the stupid male humans. "I swear, they have the minds of drunk squirrels," he muttered, "I wish I could just set them all on fire and then trample them."
A ear pecieing roar sounded from below. "Oh good. Rohrkan finally got rid of them. About time too. They were crowding the hallways," said a very melodramatic Kindle.

Raisa's crimson colored wings easily glided over the warm air currents over Fyron. She gripped her pair of precious dual swords in her talons and searched for any signs of danger. She took her job seriously. As the Lead Guard, she was a role model towards the others. Although, she liked roughing people up occasionally.

Calliope sat beneath an old willow tree that resided next to a stream. Her sweet voice sung songs of an ancient era. Long before she had been coronated. The snakes upon her head seemed to sway to the melodious tune. Birds perched on the willow and chipped along with the young queen's voice. Everything was peaceful, just how Calliope liked it.
•
Aquarius could hear the Gorgon's voice from his flooded caverns. It echoed throughout them, even in the salty water. He yearned to sing along and talk to the West Queen. He lightly touched his own throat and his heart fell. His muteness was a terrible thing sometimes. It was difficult to learn Sign Language and even more difficult when no one used it or knew it. Well, excluding that Kirin from the other kingdom.

Calliope had felt the movement of the Nymph and was not the least bit startled. Her song came to a swift yet graceful end. Calliope replied with a smile, "Of course. I always welcome company." The birds continued their melody without the slightest pause and the stream bubbled on as always.

Raisa was almost finished with her patrol. She was wrapping up with the outer edges of Fyron when she saw him, the massive metal man who looked like he had just walked out of a nightmare. If his size wasn't enough to make him ominous enough, his looks would. Even from the sky, he was terrifying. So of course, she had to investigate.
Raisa tucked her wings tightly to her sides and began to descend to the earth. To anyone below, she looked like a flaming meteor, plummeting towards the ground.

Raisa unfurled her wings a mere 20 feet away from the ground. She began to flap them rapidly to stay in the safety of the air. She was not sure of the Warriors intentions, so it was better to stay cautious.
Raisa was immediately hit by the stench of fresh blood. Right below her was the corpse of a dead bandit whose entire head had been crushed by the dark man. Her first instinct sa to inspect the dead body, but it still wasn't safe for her to land yet.
"Who goes there?" Raisa called out, highly doubting she would get any response.

Raisa looked at the giant metal man curiously. She had thought he would outright attack her. In some of the books she read, they claimed such giant humanoids should be avoided. They were as large, or larger, than Ogres and things, but Giants have the mind of humans.
Raisa decided to get a better idea of what she was up against. She slowly leveled out to his eye level, not wanting to spook him or accidentally provoke him.
"I must admit, I've haven't run into giant before," she said, cocking her head subconsciously. Raisa had absolutely no experience fighting Giants and didn't want to exactly find out.

Calliope said, "I've been relatively well, but the duty's of being a Queen have seemed to of caught up with me." She laughed lightly at her statement and her snakes hissed, but they sounded like mysterious whispers on the wind. "What about you?" she asked, "Surely your life is more eventful than my own."

Looking at all the organized ingredients on the shelves, Kindle remembered that some of them were outdated. Very outdated, give or take a hundred years. He though that he had actually seen something move in one of the beakers the other day.
"We need to go into town to buy some fresher ingredients," said Kindle, "The ones we have are inadequate for the elixir I'm making."
Kindle sniffed one and could smell the horrid smell from within. He snorted and promptly flicked it out the open window. He couldn't help himself. "Hopefully that hit the suitors," he said looking out the window.

"The future is unclear," Calliope said looking up with her sightless eyes, "The princess of Xectia is to be wed soon. Trouble will surely follow." She had heard the princess was the rebellious type. The Griffin-Shifter king and his Dragon had always worried her and now that they were forcing the girl into marriage... Nothing was certain.

Raisa replied, "It is a pleasure to meet you. I am Raisa Fyrehart." She landed on a dried, broken, treen and continued, "You are at the edge of the great Fyron Kingdom. What ever brings you to this Kingdom, Sir Atorias?"
