Diagnosis:
Autism --
When Kawaii was at the age of five, he was diagnosed with 'autism'. Autism is a disorder of neural development characterized by impaired social interaction and communication, and by restricted and repetitive behavior; now it affects one in 88 children and one in 54 boys.
Kawaii would usually be caught rocking back and forth for no reason, or letting out slurs of unknown words. Of course, he was able to be main-streamed by the time he was seven years old, in a special school for children with autism. His autism isn't very visible, but once and a while you will catch him with some signs still left of it, such as social disabilities or a speech difference.
Heart Failure / Weak Heart --
When Kawaii was born, he had been notified to have a ' weak heart '. The doctors had warned his mother that he should not over-exert himself, such as running for too long, or playing sports.
It was also authorized that fatty foods were off-limits at all times, as well as carbonated beverages containing corn starch, glucose, sugars, etc.; such as sodas.
Kawaii's heart cannot take in a lot of blood all at once, especially with adrenaline, and thus, will lead to shut down or heart attack.
Asthma --
As well as being diagnosed with autism and a weak heart, asthma was also visible; asthma is a condition that affects a person's airways, also known as breathing tubes. When Kawaii would get sick, his airways would close up and it would make him wheeze and gasp.
It is the most common chronic childhood disease, affecting more than one child in 20. At the age of 11, he was officially diagnosed, and had been able to buy a breathalyzer and inhaler incase of emergencies.
Species:
Red Panda -- Ailurus fulgens
Appearance:
Physical --
An average height man, or woman, would be around 5'4" - 5'6". Kawaii would stand at shoulder length with them if he were face to face. At about 5'0" and weighing a reasonable 121 lb. this is about as big as Kawaii would get.
The young 'panda' has dark, almost amber-chestnut-like hair, and of course, Red panda markings; his eyes are a pale gray/blue mix; he has little muscle, but an excellent rectangular-figure.
Clothing --
Kawaii would dress in nothing special, usually casual clothing such as an undershirt or formal shirt underneath a sweater or hoodie; frequent black jeans with neon purple shoes, or the occasional blue jeans. He is ever rarely seen without a sweater or a hoodie on during the winter, and during the summer he wears light-fabric'd over shirts or tank tops.
Because of the way he dressed he looks a bit like a. . . ' momma's boy ' but, that's actually his style. He prefers the old-people looking clothes more than the, ' whoa look at these graphic 'tees', man. '
Personality:
The majority of Kawaii's personality has to do with his autism.
Habits --
Kawaii has many habits that can't be broken because he's instinctively bound to them. An example is that whenever he's listening to music that he likes, he will start to wobble or rock in his seat or spot that he's sitting in or laying.
Another is flicking his fingers symmetrically without rhythm, which is part of his autism as well; when he gets excited or really happy this will be visible.
Kawaii will also play with things in his pockets, or things that aren't his when he's nervous or very curious about something. But, this can usually lead him into trouble because most of the time, he knows not to touch other people's objects, but it doesn't register faster enough for him, and flies off the wall.
Necessities --
Necessities are some things that Kawaii always needs around him, or he won't feel safe or secure.
His leaf, is priority number one; for some reason, he's always felt like he needed something on his head like a hat or something, and when he was younger, leaves would always make him feel very relaxed and happy. Getting an idea from that thought, he decided to pluck a leaf off the tree that was in his backyard when he was still living with his mother and brothers, and put it on his head, keeping it there.
Kawaii also has to have two things carried along with him in his pockets; one of his collectable toys that he had received randomly from someone when they thought it was his. He decided to keep it and name it ' Stitchy ' because of the stitch-like out linings on the figure. Another thing is a slide-flashdrive, for some reason, it calms him down if he's scared or nervous, pushing the flash drive's handle up and down was calming.
Speech --
Kawaii likes to change his voice around when talking to different people, on some occasions he can sound like an old man, or a witch, if he chose, and other times it's just his normal voice but he doesn't talk very much with it if he does not have a lot to say, or the person he is talking to gives him no interest whatsoever.
Sociability --
Due to his habits and problems, he doesn't have a lot of friends because he usually always has to stay immobile, or walk when others run, talk with strange voices, and these ' unnecessary ' habits make him stick out like a sore thumb, and people usually stereotype him, or make up lies.
Kawaii will never, ever, walk up to someone, or anyone; he has absolutely no interest for anyone else unless they get themselves involved as well, and he starts to pay attention. But as far as friends go, he's never been able to make any because of his disability to approach someone.
Intelligence --
It was not that Kawaii was smart, it was just something he was naturally good at. It doesn't take him long to figure out how to solve a problem, or find information to something that interests him, like history. In school he was at the top of his class without even trying, and would always be referred to as the ' genius '; though, when someone like a teacher asks him to explain an answer in front of all of the students in the class, he'll give a pathetic one instead of what he actually knows.
History:
When he was young. . . --
Kawaii was born May 10th, 1995 on a bright and sunny day as Taylor Yannon, to Marcia Yannon and Jacob Slevich. His parents were never married, and soon after his birth they stopped seeing each other gradually, and then stopped all together. He was their 4th and last son, also being the youngest out of his other 3 brothers, Jacob being the oldest. Growing up for Kawaii was hard, especially with being diagnosed with a weak heart and autism; the children he went to school with in his early stages of being a toddler were always restrained if they got loud and violent. Kawaii was considered ' highly functioning ', because the least his did was babble nonsense and rock in his chair; but he could understand and do questions if you asked him.
Kawaii's mother would always bring his brothers and him to the park they lived near once a week; Kawaii would always be told to bring toys, or a video game, or something like chalk to draw on the sidewalk with, or sit on the bench and cheer for his brothers because he couldn't join them when they decided to go and play soccer or football. It's not like he felt excluded from everything, once and a while his brothers and him would come up with clever games to play with each other; because Kawaii was considered the ' smart ' one, out of them all. It wasn't really called being smart, he just enjoyed obtaining information or math, or something like that, and keep it stored; it was just something he was good at.
