IC: "Uh, yeah, I think I am now," my hands fly to my face, feeling around my eyes for dragon scales. Finding none, I took the book and looked at the cover. Hmm... I walk past Lucy and out into the lounge.

IC: I flick through the contents, looking at every chapter name as I go through. What... There's nothing here! I sigh and close the book. "There's nothing here..." I lay back on the bed, my hands behind my head. "Besides, I think my eyes are back to normal now." I look at Lucy. "Are they?"

IC: "No, not at all," I answer, standing again. "I'm gonna get ready for bed..." I go to my bag and pull out some clothes to sleep in. "Are you going to sleep yet?"

IC: "Okay." I walk into the bathroom and close the door behind me. I quickly take off my vest and pull on my shirt, shortly after replacing my pants with loose shorts. I sigh and walk out again. "Your turn," I tell her, laying on the bed.

IC: Rolling over, I stare at the wall. Usually on missions, I never felt differently about Lucy and I sharing a room before, but now I felt different. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it made my head and my chest feel different... As I ponder it some more, the door opens and Lucy comes out. "Oh," I turn over again and look at her.

IC: "Earlier?" I try to remember what she's talking about, then it hits me. Oh... "Uh, nothing, I just... Um..." I feel heat rise to my cheeks and I look away frantically.

IC: The words 'hot guys' made me snap up straight, my feelings from earlier on with the clerk returning. I had to fight hard to keep my face from twisting into a growl but I managed to keep it under control. "We're here on a mission," I tell her calmly. "But the ball isn't for a few days... So if you want to."

IC: "But I-" I clamp my jaws shut. I was about to say But I already have. No, not a good idea. I just nodded quietly and turned over. "Yeah, maybe you'll find a guy you like, too..." To avoid any further conversation, I close my eyes and say, "Night, Luce."

IC: I had woken up earlier, unable to sleep any longer, and I was now laying in bed awake. Lucy groaned and rolled over, then rolling back again. "Luce?" I ask quietly. "You awake?"

IC: I laugh, feeling my discomfort melt away. "No, I've been awake for a while, Miss Demon." I immediately feel stupid afterwards, because what I said sounded dorky. I laugh at myself again and get out of bed. "Come on, we going to the pool?"

IC: "Aww, come on!" I yank the covers off and pull her by the arm. "It's warm outside, look, I'll open the window." Leaving her on the floor, I open the curtains and point outside. "See? Told you!"

IC: A-Ah! Um- I feel a blush come to my face. Although we've had more contact than this before, like the time I accidentally groped Lucy, I was only coming to notice it now. "Umm... We need to get ready to go..." I stammer.

IC: I stand there for a few more seconds before shrugging and grabbing my bag. I start digging through, looking for my swimming trunks. A few moments later, I find them and pull them out. I put my bag back on the floor and sit on the bed, waiting for Lucy.

IC: "Uh, I don't know, I think... so..." I turn around only to see Lucy standing there in a towel. Dammit! I'd seen Lucy like this before, but now, there was some other feeling latching onto my brain. I turn away quickly, feeling my face burn.

IC: "O-Okay." I answer quickly, stumbling over my words. I grab my swimming trunks and dart into the bathroom, closing the door quickly and leaning against it. "She got me..." I mumble to myself. And she was right. Why do I feel this way all of a sudden?

IC: My ears perk as I hear the words 'you're' and 'cute' in the same sentence. Without thinking, I throw my swimming trunks across the room and storm out of the bathroom. "Excuse me," I snarl, stepping protectively in front of Lucy. I push the guy back. "But I don't think so. Get out."

IC: "Because..." For some reason, I feel a deep pain in my chest and I can't meet Lucy's eyes. My body works against my will and my arms wrap around her, pulling her close to me. "Please... don't do that." My voice cracks as I whisper. Wait... WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING?! As quickly as I can, I let go and turn around, making my way back into the bathroom. What... What is happening to me?

IC: I lean against the door heavily and slide to the ground, my head in my hands. "I don't... I don't understand..." I mumble, feeling my head pound. B-But why? Why do I feel like this? My heart's pounding wildly in my chest, and there's only one answer. I think I'm in love with her...
