She could tell her sister thought she had done it. "This wasn't your fault. Some Badger tried attacking Bramblepaw last night. i saved her life. You had nothing to do with this." she hated lying to her sister.

"No!" her sister exclaimed." I chased it off the territory last night. I know its gone. and i will be fine just a scratch on my left eye." She meowed but regreted it. No cat gets away from a badger with a mere scratch!

She looked back at her mate. Would you like to share tounges?" she asked the tom.

Jaystorm padded out of the warriors den. He picked a plump mouse and began eating it alone. Today would be interesting.

"I know" WynterIce meowed. Sorrow and pain hit her.

WynterIce stood up "I'm coming with you." she meowed.

WynterIce's eyes clouded with pain. "Fine. i'll check the the borders." RainCloud went to stand up. "Alone." She hissed and ran out of the camp.

"That's great" the tom exclaimed. He licked her forehead in approval.

Tears ran down the she-cats face. She was close to the shadowclan border. The Deputy had fallen asleep from crying so much. She started having a nightmare. They were attacking her again. They slashed at her and battered her. This time she just laid there. She knew she was going to die so why fight? what did she have to fight for?

WynterIce remembered something. "Your pain is my pain" Her sister had once told her when they were kits. That meant the pain she was feeling now Laurelstar was feeling too. Suddenly the dream changed. She was a warrior facing the two toms. She swiped her paw at one catching his face. WynterIce climbed the tree some until one of them slammed her to the ground. Wynterice felt as though her back bone had been shattered. In the forest she laid writhing in pain. Whimpering and yowling from the hits and blows the toms sent at her. "LAURELSTAR!!!!!!!!" She screeched for her sister.

WynterIce wasn't hurting anymore. She saw one of the toms pinned down Laurelstar. WynterIce yowled with rage and knocked the tom off her Leader and sister. "No one tries to hurt my family!" She hissed and bounced on the tom. Hissing with rage and bit down on the tom's neck causing it to bleed. Not enough to kill it but to wound it. Badly.

"Fine. Thanks for asking. Have you talked to bluepelt recently?" The tom asked his niece.

Wynterice glanced at her sister and they burst out laughing. " were fine. Those toms not so much." The deputy gave another laugh and licked her sisters ear.

The tom looked up and saw emblefeather not with them. "Where is Emblefeather? " he asked.

"Me?! I was alone for like 5 minutes with those toms!" She was laughing the whole time. She rubbed her muzzle under her mates.

"Call me crazy" Wynterpaw meowed as she padded up to them. "I'm in" she finished. "But we have to stop by the Windclan border. My mate should be still there." She meowed quietly hoping they wouldnt hate her.

JayStorm nodded "I should have guessed. That tom loves hunting." He meowed to her and walked over to his brother. "Hello Badgerstar." he meowed and dipped his head in respect.
