Sapphire growled but after a gentle pat from Marie she extingusihed the bubble of fire stirring in her belly. Marie circled around her dragon and smiled "Hi, I'm Marie, this is Sapphire." she gestured to her towering beast and added "What are you doing here?"

Sapphire snorted ~He won't get very far if he does~ Marie sent her a warning glance "Of course, it'll be kind of tight though." she said

Sapphire flicked her spiked tail ~Good riddens to em~ she grumbled, turning to Marie, but the girl had gone to stand beside Ruth "Hello, I'm Marie." she smiled brightly as if he weren't a dragon that could turn her to ash in the blink of an eye. Sapphire stepped forward, her glare fixed on Ruth

Sapphire watched them warily, but when she went to step closer Marie shook her head "Sapph, you gotta trust me, stay there." ~I trust you, but I most definately do not trust him~ Sapphire growled back, but stayed where she was against her better judgement. Marie dug in her pocket for a second and held out a small green stone "It matches your eyes." she explained, putting it around his foreleg with a small chain. Sapphire shook her head ~She has... a certain affinity with magic, that is supposed to protect you.~ she explained in dragontounge

Marie jumped in surprise and stood "Just a stone." Sapphire snorted ~It's more than a stone.~ but Marie sent her a glare and she looked away.

Marie smiled at him "Thanks, Come on Ruth, don't get cold out here." she persuaded

Sapphire rolled her eyes ~Stubborness.~ she growled ~More like stupidity~ Marie narrowed her eyes and went into the cave.

Sapphire bared her teeth and spun around, her spikes bristling. ~Don't!~ She snarled ~Don't you dare! You have NO idea what we've gone through!!!~ Marie stepped forward "Sapph!" but the dark blue dragon was out of it ~I had to outrun five dark dragons to save her from King Vizario. Her powers will not be used for evil!!!~

Marie turned away, she closed her eyes and whispered "Please don't go." Sapphire glanced back at her ~What is up with you? Do you know him?~

Marie shook her head "They'll come back, they have to come back." she said, almost to herself. ~Marie? Are you alright?~ but Sapphire's rider didn't answer. Then a screech came from nearby. Sapphire froze and whimpered ~No, not again!~ she snapped.

Crystal jumped back, her arrow locked on Arianna "I will gladly shoot you!" she threatened. Marie snapped "Enough, both of you!!!!!" Shayne went to her side "I'm Shayne." he said "Descendant of Tayo and Halo." he added

Sapphire snarled at two smoky gray dragons as they landed on the ledge. Intense heat blew back as she fired at them, they squealed, but spat acid into the cavern. Marie barely dodged a stray bubble of the black liquid. She shook her head, eyes streaming with unshed tears and screamed "Jaxum!!!"

Sapphire met Ruth's eyes and flamed the nearest dark dragon. ~Truce?~ she asked. Marie nodded "Thank you... for coming back, come on, we've gotta get outta here Sapph!" the she-dragon hissed at another gray dragon and snapped ~Hop on!~

Sapphire leapt aloft, straining her wings to catch an air current ~Catch up soon.~ she said before flying away. Marie crawled to the base of her neck, making sure Jaxum was ok, then asked over the wind "Is he coming?" Sapphire answered fearfully ~He said he'd catch upm, but...~ she didn't finish, then she said ~He'll be fine. Right?~ Marie answered "I hope so Sapph, I hope so."

SApphire growled ~Should I help?~ she asked, sounding worried

Sapphire nodded and with a shudder flew off, praying he'd be alright.

Crystal's eyes narrowed dangerously, but before she could speak Marie shot her a warning glance. Shayne called Blaze over, the bay stallion snorted, but sidled to the boy's side.

Crystal snapped "That's none of your da-" Marie cut her off "We aren't sure. We were given a prophecy to find all of the elements, I've lived here my whole life." she explained
