A misty look filled her eyes. "Some small part of me doesn't feel the need to even look anymore, it's more out of habit nowadays. And yes being a loner can be rather lonesome at times."

Mello batted his tail around. He'd never played with someone smaller then him and was trying to be gentle.
-
"Don't worry, I don't think the kit was being rude at all. Also, while joining a clan sounds intresting, I care a bit too much about another loner, he isn't the type who'd ever fit in a clan."
-
"S-Sent you away? Why, if you really want... I suppose you could come with me." Mello's ear turned at the sound of familiar pawsteps.
"Hey Mello, who's the kit?" A new tom popped out of the bushes, he had bright brown-red fur and viridian eyes, eyes glimmering with a playful light. (The cat in my picture) -
Her eyes lit up and she smiled, "Give me a bit of time, I'll be back quickly." She bolted down the tree, and sped though the forest eager to see him again.
-
Taylor returned with a winded (from the run), very skinny, black, messy furred, tom with large obsidian eyes, which seemed endless if you looked into them. He stood hunched over, far from impressive looking. He quietly looked over all the cats present.
-
Mello shot his friend a dirty look, then the two set out to finding Dawnkit. It didn't take long to find the jumpy kit. Mello's friend hung back while Mello approached Dawnkit.
"Hey, it's alright, Dawnkit. That idiot won't hurt you, 'sides if anything tried to hurt you, I'd show them what's really scary." He nugged the kit with his nose. -
"Hello Nightfall, my name is Lawliet." His voice and eyes betrayed no emotion. He returned Nightfall's greeting nod. Then he looked to Cinderkit. "Your name?"
-
A dark chuckle filled the ears of Nightkit, Clawheart, and Thornkit. "Well, well, so Night, Mommy die on you too? Personally, I think you're right, the thought of StarClan is for weak fools who want to think that someone is out there protecting them. Truth is you're on you're own." A deathly skinny black tom slinked out of the bushes. His eyes glinted dangerously.
-
"Greetings, Mosstail. I can be quite intimidating to some, I don't think Cinderkit was being impolite at all."
-
The tom laughed. "Don't worry, I guess I kinda jumped out at you huh? My name's Matt, what's your's little cat."
ooc: (not the black tom, the brown-red one) -
ooc: now it's the black tom
"My mother, littermates and me got sick. My father tried to kill us all. When he got to me I killed him instead. Whole family died in one night, and 'StarClan' has never sent me any signs that it exists, in fact I wouldn't be myself if there was a StarClan." His voice was cruel, distaste for the idea of StarClan clear in the way he said it. -
Lawliet looked at Cinderkit again. "I don't like it when other people introduce me without my permition either." He gave the kit a small smile before returning to his expressionless face.
-
Matt looked at Mello. "So, we'll be traveling with Dawnkit now?" He whispered.
"Yeah, we will be." Mello laid down near Dawnkit, covering her with his tail to keep her warm.
---
The black tom laughed wildly. "It would be a pleasure to accompany you." His sanity seemed shaky. "I could keep a pair of kits safe, besides my mate would love to have young to look after." -
He seemed suprised by the sudden offer. "Urm, no. Clan life wouldn't suit me well." His answer was calm, and the only suprise that showed was physical, not on his face.
-
A crazed glint was hovering in his eyes. "How can something that doesn't exists let you down, Night?" The tom mewed with a chuckle.
-
"How what, Cinderkit?" Lawliet didn't think the kit had any reason not to ask the question.
-
"Well, it seems in the cacophony I never introduced myself, I am Beyond. Most think I'm mad, but I simply have interesting tastes." His eyes were obsidian colored, with hints of gold, but they almost seemed to glow red. Truely, of course, they didn't, but madness had a funny way on one's looks.
-
Lawliet smiled his rather kit-ish smile again. "Thank you, I will never be a true member of your clan, but perhaps Taylor and myself could be honorary members. Also, I ate resently and will not need another meal for some time. Meanwhile, Cinderkit, you still haven't finished your question." He focused on Cinderkit once more.
-
Beyond turned, starting to lead the kits to where his mate lay sleeping.
