Dawnfire gasped, "Are you okay?" she hurried over to him.

Brightkit stared, "You mean... My mother is dead?" Tears were welling up in her eyes.

Brightkit smiled, "She died defening her Clan.... she was sent to a better place." She fought away the tears and imagined her mother, walking briskly, with the stars shining in her pelt.

The thought warmed Brightkit... Her mother was watching her, wanting her to continue. Instead of just sitting around all day. "Thanks, for..... everything." She mewed to Constellationdusk.

Dawnfire giggled. "Nice! Teach it to me sometime..."
