Brandy rolled her eyes and proceeded to play Crossy Road on her phone, unintentionally kicking her friends in the knees and chins while playing. Obviously, she still had a lot of growing up to do. Then, out of the blue, Devin leaned over and poked her phone, which caused the chicken to get hit by a car. "You suck at this game," he told her. This was the first time she'd ever heard him talk. She was taken aback.

"I've heard this kid was hit by a train about 40 miles from here. They haven't found his body yet. We should go see if we can find it," Brandy said in an excited tone. Devin made a contorted face at the thought of finding a dead body.

"Yay! Jayden is cool!" she giggled in the voice of a small child. She did that a lot when she was excited about something. Devin looked at them like there was something wrong with them. That was gross and awful. But he didn't say anything.

"You never do anything fun, Regina, come on!" she whined and stood up. She was actually really short. She liked it that way. Devin didn't comment on anything that was taking place. Instead, he pulled out his phone and tapped on it randomly so it looked preoccupied.
