"Don't... don't..." He stammered. "Don't jump. It's not worth it! Think about it! You could continue ur family!"

"If you don't leave in ten seconds... Stormpaw, you will wish that that loner had killed you..."

He whispered to Rotclaw, "Do you like her? If you do, tell her! It may sway her decision!"

Shadowshear went to the med den again, just in case Stormpaw got any funny ideas.

"Stormpaw!" Coming back yet again, he realized that Stormpaw had not left. He slammed into his side, making him tumble over the cliff.

"I'm sorry Cougar." Shadowshear emitted the first real tear of sadness in his life. "I am sorry..."

"I wish this had never happened... If I hadn't come, Stormpaw would've been killed by the rogue and this would have never happened... It's my fault..."

Holding him back, Shadowshear had to struggle to prevent him from jumping. But the huge black tom was holding ground.

"It is. While I may have helped with foxes... well... no. Then more cats would have died, if I wasn't there to save them... Aaaauuuugh!" Shadowshear ran off, to be with Breezepaw again.

But before that, he found a trail down the cliff, and prepared to say his final goodbyes. But Ivypaw was alive. "Cougar! She's alive!!!"

"No, no, NO! Cougar!" This time Shadowshear's eyes were like small pools, constantly streaming. "NO!!!

He slammed Stormpaw's head back onto a rock, knocking him out again.

"Please, StarClan! Let his loved one live! I don't want him to feel like me... No one should..."

Shadowshear was practically crushing Stormpaw's skull now. -
Letting go of Stormpaw, Shadowshear offered to pick up Ivypaw to carry her back up. Halfway there, making sure everyone was ahead of him, he kicked a group of boulders down the path, making it imossible to get out.

Shadowshear hopped ahead to the others. "I'm sorry this happened, Cougar."

"Stormpaw, when you get to camp, Stay away from Breezepaw! I will never forgive you for what you tried to do." Shadowshear said forcefully. "Try anything and your throat will cease to exist."
