Annie Bale
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Appearance: She is a very frail and small girl, if no one knew her age most would guess she's 13. her skin is very pale and fair, as if she hasn't been in the sunlight once. Her eyes are a bright innocent sky blue and seem rather large. Annie has dark black wavy hair that she usually keeps down, and she usually wears a pale blue sleep gown that seems a bit to large for her thin frame. Over all she gives off the image of a doll.
Personality: Annie is a quiet and soft spoken girl. She is very gentle and timid, always very cautious and unsure of herself. Annie is schizophrenic, and hears/sees a boy about her age who she calls Ezra, he hardly sounds like he's in a good mood and is known to yell at or lose his patience with Annie, he is the dominant of the pair and usually is the one telling Annie what to do or giving her advice. Long term he does seem to care for Annie, but he is only an image in her mind so he can only help her so much.
History: Annie's family line has had history of others having schizophrenia, and all though neither her mother or father had it her grandmother on her mom's side did. Growing up she hardly ever talked to the kids at her daycare, preferring to speak with the little angry boy only she could see. At first she believed that Ezra was just one of the other kids, and everyone could see him, but as she grew older she realized it was just her she saw him. It was only until she was 10 did she tell her parents of her problem. On the night before they planned to leave to meet with a doctor, Annie's house mysteriously caught fire and her parents died in the house. Only Annie survived, and upon hearing of her schizophrenia the orphanage immediately sent her to the New York City Mental Rehabilitation Center. She found out about the worker's there being vampires when she left her room one night when Ezra kept bugging her to, and caught one of the vampires drinking off their patient.

Timber barked loudly at the intruders, growling deeply as he approached Maria and Kagome, his teeth bared and ears folded back. Ready to protect the store he and Alex had staked out as their own. "Timber what's wrong?" Alex called out leaving the back room to see what had his dog worked up so much, gun in hand incase there were zombies or thieves.
-
Alex watched the group of survivors from a distance, he had hidden himself silently in a nearby alley way, trying to decide whether or not he should approach. It had been ages since he last saw another human being, and Alex wasn't sure if he wanted to break that streak. Interacting with people meant drama, and he didn't exactly want to get involved in that. On the other hand though, it gave him a few perks, safety in numbers and all that. Before he could come to a decision though, Timber trotted ahead of him to go meet with the animals he saw, drool dripping down the dog's jaw when it noticed Babe, fresh pig didn't sound half bad to the dog right now. Timber barked once as he approached the crowd, announcing his existence. "Timber no, get back here." Alex hissed, but it was futile, and he felt his legs moving towards the building where is only friend since the world went down hill was heading.
-
Timber panted loudly, licking Laina's face when she knelt down, completely relaxed and docile. "Sorry about him. My names Alex." Alex replied forcing a small smile, he was completely on his guard and ready to defend himself if needed. His eyes scanned her carefully for any noticeable threats or weaknesses. His eyes landing on her knife and the blood. He paused when he saw it, "Problem with the zombies?" Alex asked calmly, whistling quickly to call Timber back to his side, the dog doing just that.

(XD I used to have a great dane, their so loyal and sweet)

Alex sharply turned around to see the walker, jumping away just in time before it bit him. Without even stopping to consider taking it on he gave Timber the signal to follow Laina, keeping close behind them. He didn't want to waste the time killing off one as a whole horde was gathering and directing their attention to them. The zombie that had been sneaking up on Alex let out a long and loud groan, lunging forward to catch them, but with its twisted ankle all it could do was limp towards them while its meal got away.
-
Alex held back for a moment to check if the door was secure, relaxing a tiny bit when he decided it was good enough. "Thanks." Alex smiled politely as he took the packages, trading them for an extra bottle of water he had. With his guard still up Alex bent down and fed Timber his goldfish, the dog scarfing them down without even bothering to taste them. Even if Alex always made sure Timber ate before him, he couldn't help but feel bad that Timber was always hungry, it was hard supporting another living thing. He had to spend so much extra time and energy making sure the both of them didn't starve to death, but he couldn't really complain since he suspected everyone else had just as hard of a time. Silently he took his backpack off and pulled a a metal bowl out, pouring some water from his own bottle into it and offering it to the dog. When he had confirmed his dog had been well taken care of he opened his own bag off goldfish and slowly ate it, relishing the cheesy taste.

Laina grabbed the water bottle, and nodded to Alex in thanks. The brunette twisted the plastic top off, drinking little of it. She wanted to save as much as possible from the bottle, although she knew it would only last her a couple of days. She leaned against the wall of the store, sighing lightly. She watched Timber eat the small package of goldfish, and was already finished. Laina stood, walking up and down the aisles. She found a package of puppy chow. Although Timber wasn't a puppy, it was still dog food, and quite a lot. Silently, Laina grabbed the back of food, bringing it to Alex. "I figured he could use more than just a small pack of goldfish." The brunette said, smiling. She returned to the place she was at, leaning against the wall once more. She continued to eat the goldfish, savoring the taste of the small crackers."Thanks Laina." Alex smiled, seeming to relax around Laina. She didn't seem to bad to him so far, maybe he could stick around with her for a while, if that's what she wants that is. He'd have to talk to her about it later. "So you heading anywhere in particular?" Alex asked calmly as he fed Timber some of the dog food, rubbing the dogs head.
-
"Just trying to survive." Alex smirked, his expression unreadable and blank, trying to hide how much that bothered him. There was nothing left for him at home his parents were dead, and house burnt down to ashes. He hadn't really had any family besides his parents and that didn't really matter, they were all dead and now it was just him and Timber.
-
"Are you alright Alexandria?" Annie asked from behind her, the young girl's voice soft and gentle, almost low enough to be a whisper. Annie had her hands folded neatly in front of her, rocking slowly back and forth on her heels as she waited for a reply. Seeming as non threatening as a butterfly.

Laina sighed, looking to him. "Yeah.." She said. There was nowhere for her to go, and no reason to. She was convinced that her father was dead after he left for the war, and never returned. Her father was the only real family she had ever had, and now, she was just all alone, defendless in this horrifying world which was now contained with things that wanted to eat you alive.
"I'm guessing we'll be spending the night here" Alex sighed, changing the topic. He as well as Timber had noticed the tension in the room, and right now it was a good idea to keep their stress levels down. Alex fully took his backpack off and laid it down against the wall, taking his gun out to go inspect the perimeter. He didn't want to wake up to a zombie gnawing on his ankle.
-
"Fine I guess, Ezra's been really impatient lately. He wants to leave." Annie replied, fumbling with her fingers, having a hard time making eye contact. She usually liked to narrate Ezra's feelings when talking about her own, it was one of her few ways to communicate what she wanted.
-
"Ezra thinks we could make it, and...and I agree with him." Annie mumbled timidly, her voice barely audible. Dixie obviously scared her, people in general scared her, but Dixie the most. Even the pointy teeth workers, as she called them, weren't s bad as Dixie. She was tall and strong, and could snap Annie in half with a hand tied behind her back, or so Annie imagined. Annie nervously bit her lip, tugging at a strand of her hair, now regretting for speaking at all.
-
Annie's eyes widened when Dixie motioned to her, at first wanting to shake her head until she felt Ezra's cool hands ushering her forward. Her feet unsurely lead her next to Dixie, though she did keep her distance. Shyly she she straightened her stance and stood on her toes to look through the glass, only getting a glimpse of Jason as he was wheeled away. "What's that have to to wit anything, he's just another patient." Annie mumbled quietly, hugging herself as she dropped back down to her normal stance.
-
Alex soon returned with nothing to report besides a half eaten human carcass in the corner of the store. He had checked all the walls, aisles, rooms, and every little nook and cranny with no sign of what had killed the person. Everything seemed secure and strong, with no real weak points. "I think we're safe for the night." Alex sighed dropping down sit on the ground, resting his back on his backpack.
-
Annie quickly stepped back when the door opened to let Jason in, and began acting like she hadn't just been spying on the people outside. She started pretending that all she had been focussing on was how many different ways she could tangle her fingers, only relaxing the tiniest bit when the workers left. Her eyes curiously drifted upward to the new patient, scanning him over quickly, looking for signs of what got him here. "Go meet him." Ezra suggested in Annie's head, coaxing her to meet the new guy.

"No problem...Why do you wear high heels? Doesn't it make it hard to run?" Alex asked quizzically, giving Laina a curious look. To him it seemed kind of silly, before the apocalypse he always heard girls complain about how much high heels killed their feet, yet they still wore them. Now when beauty doesn't even matter high heels were still being worn?
-
"Maybe we should find you a pair sometime." Alex shrugged causally, pretending not to notice his use of "we". He still hadn't decided if they were a team yet, she was just some random girl he took shelter with for the night. Even though it was just that for now, he kind hoped she'd let him stick around with her, even if it was for a little while. It was nice talking with someone who replied back, having a real conversation. It was just such a nice change.

OOC: We should probably wait after this for the others to catch up.
IC: "Eh, nothing really special. I was part of that bad boy group, always getting into trouble and fights." Alex shrugged, giving her the simple version. he doubted she wanted to hear a 10 page essay on his boring life before the outbreak, even if she asked. "What about you?" Alex countered, smiling as Timber came over and laid down next to him, providing some warmth in the cold building.
