Redkit sighed as she saw her mother frowning at her slightly, and avoided Gentlestep's stern gaze.

"Warrior's don't need to pretend they are not injured. It doesn't make them any weaker" Gentlestep told her daughter, her face warming up again.

Farani pricked her ears up in interest when she spotted the little sprite. She avoided the strange unicorns and pegasi, and trotted up to Braith. "Are you... a sprite?" She asked, curiously studying the little creature with intense interest.

Vangkit laughed at Frostpoppy and responded instantly. He crouched low and stalked over to her playfully. As she stalked Lion he wiggled his haunches and pounced on her tail. "I'll save you Lion!" He growled playfully and gripped her tail in his mouth.

(Do you think Vangkit should fall in love with Yellowkit?)
Vangkit hugged Yellowkit back warmly, before wriggling out of her grasp.

"What's wrong Lion?" Vangkit asked him, looking at the ripped colour in puzzlement.

"Are you going to stay with us now? Because your not a kittypet, you can choose your own home!" Vangkit meowed enthusiastically, hoping Lion would choose to stay.

Vangkit watched Yellowkit trot of curiously. Where's she going? He sprang to his paws and trotted after her. He found her in the barn, deep in thought. "Hey watcha thinking so hard about?" He meowed as he trotted through the door.

Vangkit gave it a long wide-eyed stare before sniffing it intently. "It smells strange, what is it?"

"I promise" Vangkit whispered to her as he passed. He was dying to ask what Yellowkit had meant by Lightcloud, Shadowshade and FirstOne's mum. It couldn't be their mother, it was a ball.

Vangkit rushed out after everyone and came skidding to a halt at the sight of Yellowstar and her kits. "Yay! We have more cats to play with now" He meowed joyfully.

"Sometimes I wonder if you know the future, you seem confident" Rafeal joked, but she couldn't get the nervousness out of her paws. "I hope we pull through today" She sighed to herself. She hated the wait before the race.

Wolfsnarl came padding up to Greystar with her prey, and with pricked ears she listened to the conversation. "Silver requested that I hunt, I have brought this back" She dipped her head and dropped her rabbit and mouse on the ground before him.

Daffodil nudged Blackkit to his paws gently, understanding she needed to be careful how she told him about the flood. "Come Blackkit, we need to go fast to high ground" She meowed and grabbed him by his scruff.

Vangkit licked the little kit as fast as he could with his rough tongue. "Why do we lick them this way?" He asked Yellowstar and Bluestorm. "Do we need to clean their fur?"

Rafeal trotted on the spot, stretching her muscled legs. She didn't want to tire herself out, but it didn't hurt to warm up. "Even with the suspense, I am very excited. Races always do this kind of thing to me"

"What a juicy rabbit" Wolfsnarl commented. "Who caught such a big rabbit?" She asked, obviously impressed by the catch.
