Dawnkit poked her head out through the reeds and watched BrightFire enjoy the water, she turned her back. I wish I could swim... she thought sadly, she puffed out her chest bravely and walked calmly out of the reeds "hi" she mewed walking up to the other kits.

Dawnpaw grabbed a trout and went over to the apprentice den to eat it.

Dawnkit nodded "me and my brother Cougarkit are always asking mumma if we can go to the river, but she won't let us because I can't swim, but i don't want to disappoint him any more!" she mewed bounding towards the waters edge, she poked a paw in "it's cold" she murmured, a shiver running through her body.

Dawnpaw finished her meal and sighed, looking towards the camp entrance "where is she?" she muttered, she took a small drink from the stream and bounded over to MoonStar "MoonStar, do you know where FireStrom is?" she asked, hoping she would know.

Dawnkit watched Ravenkit, her self-confidence increased and she waded slowly into the water, she looked back at MossFern "now what?" she asked, shivering.

Dawnkit tried *walking* in the water, soon she couldn't feel ground under her paws, she began to sink. she splashed about in the water and swam ungracefully back to shore, shaking out her golden fur.

Cougarkit walked over to the stream, spotted his sister and looked a BrighFire "what is she doing?" he asked, glancing at his sister.

SwiftRiver noticed some kits near the stream, she saw BrightFire and padded up to her "can I help?" she asked, she wasn't on patrol so she guessed it would be okay.

Dawnpaw sighed and padded into the medicine den, bored "can I help with anything?" she asked Wingpaw.

CougarClaw was about to ask SharpTalon if he could go on a patrol, but noticed the tension in the air. He stepped back into the warriors den, glancing at LightSkip, he lay down in his nest, his black pelt camouflaged in the dark den.

OceanBreeze looked around, she spotted CougarClaw walk into the warriors den and decided to follow the handsome tom.

Dawnpaw sat in camp, twitching her tail, she spotted Hawkspaw and bounded over to him, noticing the kit near his paws "awww whose that?" she asked curiously, and smiled at Hawkspaw, she loved kits and hoped she would have on of her own one day.

CougarClaw got up and stretched, his midnight pelt shining in the sun, sliding his claws out and showing his teeth as he did so, he was hunter, and he would always stay that way.

OceanBreeze followed CougarClaw out of the warriors den, she sighed 'he's sooo handsome' she thought and walked past him, brushing her pelt against his, she walked up to the freshkill pile and looked around, frowning 'it's awfully quiet today' she thought again, still frowing, she picked a thrush from the pile and settled down by the stream to eat it, sighing blissfully.

Dawnkit watched in shock as the wave got closer to Falconkit

SwiftRiver crouched near the water, ready to swim to the rescue if MossFern and Falconkit didn't make it.

"12moons" she puffed out her chest proudly.

CougarClaw nodded to his apprentice "how about hunting first?" he asked Lightningpaw.

RoseFlower sat down, bored "I wonder when SharpTalon will organize some patrols?" she wondered aloud.
