The cat lifted her nose and smelled the air, almost immdeiately wrinkling her nose."They smell fishy."

"But they'd have to get there paws wet to catch them! And fish are slimy looking!"

"Hello!"Starling mewed while skittering up to the bank, careful to not let her paws touch the water."I'm Starling."

"Thanks!"She mewed to the riverclan cat. She nodded at Lionclaw and waited for him to lead the way

"She raised her nose to catch the scent on the breeze. She turned at the sound of dazzlefurs meow and watched the cat approach. she poked at the fish she dropped with her paw quizzically."It's slippery"

"H-hello."Starling stuttered, crouching down and slinking back a bit.

The cat looked down at her paws, shuffling them nervously."I'm starling...I don't know where I'm from."

"Hello."She said, a little less timidly."I'm Starling...Am I gonna have a name like yours someday?"

The young cat sat up and looked at them curiously."Are you two warriors?"

"Almost six moons."She mewed."I'm going to be a big cat soon."

"Lionclaw...I think. I've barely been in the camp."She said awkwardly."There were too many cats."

"Theres a fish..."She murmured, poking the fish again with her paw.

"But I'm not hungry!"She piped up."I can take it to the camp though, right?"

"Oh...I'd get in trobule for that..."She looked at the fish."I can't throw it back in the river, can I?"

Starling shuffled her paws in front of her."You don't want help burying it?"

Starling nodded and dug her paws into the soft dirt. She scraped some away with her small paws and dragged the fish into the shallow hole."Like that?"

She pushed the small mound of dirt back over it and pat it down flat with her paws, making sure none of the fins were sticking out.

Starling stood up, bouncing on her feet."How many cats are in the clan?"

"Thats a lot of different stuff. So there are a lot of cats. Whos the leader?"She asked curiously.
