Wolfshine licked her lips before bending her head and taking a bite of the meat. She watched as Kolby padded over to Badgerstripe and shook her head with a smile before her stomach let out a pang of pain due to hunger. She gasped a bit and turned back to the meal.

"There's your distraction sweetheart, right there," Treepaw whispered in her ear and she jumped, she hadn't even noticed him approach.

"What are you talking about?" she questioned.

"That tom over there, I don't know who he is, but for one he seems taken and for two you've looked at him only about seven billion times."

"Are you suggesting that I have feelings for Kolby. You're waaaaaaaaaaay off," Wolfshine giggled at the thought of such a thing.

Leaftaker watched Lynxpaw as she ate, "Look, you're really pretty. Do yourself a favor...stay away from my brother," he urged before taking a bite of the meal himself.

Leaftaker dashed away and pulled his brother Daemon away from Wolfshine. "Come on Daemon, we're going for a walk," he tilted his head towards the pretty little she-cat Lynxpaw and Daemon nodded slowly after understanding dawned on him.

"What?! A walk? With who?!" Treepaw questioned and Leaftaker sighed.

    "Nothing Treepaw," Leaftaker said quickly.

"Ahh, I see, you're going after her," Treepaw pointed his tail towards Lynxpaw. "Bet I can steal her from ya, you're just a boring old medicine cat."

    "Treepaw, stop it," Daemon hissed.

"No, it's fine, he's right anyways," Leaftaker said with his tail hanging down and his ears lowered.

"No he's not," Daemon nuzzled his brother affectionately. Treepaw padded over to Lynxpaw.

"Are you ready for your walk my lady? My brothers and I shall accompany you," he gave her a charming smile that made almost any she-cat breathless.

Treepaw gazed in surprise as the she-cat acted as if she had barely even noticed him. But he shook it off and continued after her.

Leaftaker smiled a bit at Lynxpaw but he was down for the count, knowing just how right his brother was. She wouldn't be, couldn't be interested in him.

"Shall we go young ones," Daemon urged and Leaftaker began walking towards the forest.

As soon as Treepaw approached the rest of the group Daemon turned around and hissed heavily. "Leaftaker hasn't seen my spirit animal, we both agreed he didn't need to after Hummingpaw's reaction. But you know what's in me. This creature is the only reason I let you take leadership, because we both also agreed something like this didn't need to be in control of our entire family. But if you ever but our brother, your littermate, down like that again I will personally pull out your insides and hang you from them. You're staying here, enjoy," and then he turned back around and trotted after Leaftaker.

Leaftaker smiled, "Oh we're good, ya know, just getting dragged through the forest by her brother because apparently some helpless clan needed us," he teased.

Daemon rolled his eyes, "Ignore him and his jokes, we're perfectly fine and quite happy to be assisting you and your clan."

Meanwhile Bearstar squeezed into the Queens den to check on Swanlight. "How's everything going?" he questioned, seeing Patchkit separated from his mother.

Leaftaker shook his head at his brother. "I don't hear a thing, perhaps that's your...umm, spirit animal. You did say everything was more alert to yours."

Daemon listened hard and the slight buzzing became even louder, what on earth was that sound?

OOC: Things are about to get real so anyone who's out in the territory right now, I'm sorry to heart that, just get ready to run like bloody hell. Not yet though xD

Leaftaker looked at Lynxpaw, "She'll never make it at this rate," he exclaimed.

"Go! I'll take her," Daemon urged.

"I'm not leaving you!" Leaftaker retorted.

"GO!!" Daemon roared and Leaftaker took off. "Don't be afraid, I'm gonna shift, but don't be afraid," Daemon whispered to Lynxpaw and then he swiftly changed into his animal spirit...a demon. He picked her up and took off running at an immense speed before he could see her horrified reaction.

"Parasites," Daemon deadpanned. "Blood-sucking, meat eating parasites that will devour everything in sight, so you might wanna get. in. side." he urged.

Wolfshine nodded and quickly went back into her den. Bearstar urged Swanlight along, "Come on, in we go," he encouraged.

Hummingpaw curled up close to Treepaw in the student's den.

Daemon looked around and that was when he noticed...where was Leaftaker?

"My brother," Daemon hissed glancing around.

Bearstar gave Kolby a look that said, 'Let me do my job' before turning to Daemon. "Is everyone in?" he questioned and Daemon shook his head.

"My brother, I sent him back here. I was helping Lynxpaw so we got separated, he's not back yet," Daemon growled. "I should've never let him go off n his own. You should get inside, I'm going to look for him."

"Have you gone mad?! They'll eat you alive!" Bearstar bit down on Daemon's tail.

"He's my brother! I can't just leave him."

"Then I'll go with you," Bearstar deemed.

"No! You need to stay here and protect your daughter...and the clan," Daemon demanded.

Bearstar looked into his eyes a moment longer before nodding. "If you come back from this alive and with that young cat safe...I'll make you the second Wise One of this clan," he deemed. Daemon stared at him in shock before racing off into the forest. "Alright, let's get inside, Kolby, you guard the warriors den. Just know I'm only choosing you because you're the only one left out here," Bearstar was slightly upset that he had to rely on the help of a kittypet, but he'd have to do for now.

Bearstar looked at Redfur gently, "I'm staying out here with Kolby," before she could protest he added, "I'll be fine, I'm going to guard the Queen's den. You should go in the den with Badgerstripe, please don't argue."

Daemon raced through the forest, searching for signs of Leaftaker. When he finally picked up his brother's scent he followed the trail. It took him a minute or so but he finally found Leaftaker. The cat had been trying to climb a tree and had fallen out of it. Something must've been chasing him. Daemon looked up to see that the parasites were basically right on top of him. He gasped, changed into his demon, and completely covered Leaftaker's body with his own allowing the ravenous bugs to pick at his own flesh instead.

Bearstar saw the bugs, "GO, NOW!" he urged to Redfur.
