The kit raked the dogs muzzle and stood in front of Berrykit protectively, afraid that her new friend would be hurt by the master's terrible anger.

Skykit flinched, "Tigerstar?! You're Bramblestar's father, the cat who tried to destroy ThunderClan!"

The kit hesitated, "Where do I go!? I don't remember any other place than right here!"
As she spoke other cats, seeing their friends helpless, surrounded the kits.
"Run! The kit hissed, "You have a life to get back to, I don't! I'll hold them off!"

When Rowenstar saw his daughter by Sagepaw's feet, he froze and his face turned white. "I'll take her to the medicine cat's den, Isn't your mentor looking for you?" Rowenstar scooped Dawnkt up and sped towards Redwillow's den.

The kit tripped up the cats following Berrykit and the other kits. She fought, bit and scratched, but it was no use. The cats pinned her down in front of the Master, forcing her into a submissive position, who had disentangled from the vine. He scratched her face deeply and hissed, "they escaped because of you, kit!, Bad kits must to punished!"
The Master ripped all of the kit's legs open, exposing bone, so she could not run away. The Master nodded to one of the cats, "bring me the whip!" He ordered.
The kit trembled in fear, biting her lip to stop herself from crying out, as waves of pain continually washed over her.

Leopardpaw passed Sagepaw his way to the camp entrance. "Cheer up Sagepaw! The only reasons Rowenstar probably snapped at you is because he was worried about Dawnkit and didn't want you to get sick. Don't forget Rowenstar has a lot of work to do because of Yellowbelly. I bet he'll apologise later."

The kit felt the pain disappear like a fading nightmare. She silently thanked the cat who did it.
The Master walked slowly to her, holding the whip ready to strike.
"Wait!" A silver tom stepped out of the crowd of kitnappers, who had come here to watch her suffer. "She's got a shield protecting her!"
No! Don't find out how to take it off, Please!
The tom purred as he saw fear streak across the kit's face. "I can take it off her, If you like?"
The Master nodded.
As the silver tom began removing the shield, slowly but surely, the pain started to return back to her legs. The tom rejoined the circle. "Finished! That cat who put the protection shield on her is strong!"

The kit flinched and crouched to the ground in fear, she couldn't stop her paws from trembling, as the Master stepped forward, raising his whip.
The whip came down, again, and again, and again. Until the green grass had turned red, with blood.

"But yet soo much smarter!" Skypaw countered.

As she pulled, she spotted something on Grim's back.
The key!....
It was hung around is neck on a tight-fitting cord.
It was nearly invisible to the cat's naked eye.
Skybreeze had to get it.

Skykit's body spasmed in agony as the blood came pouring out of the new wounds. She was losing blood fast. Even though she couldn't open her eyes, she could feel her body getting weaker and weaker.

Skybreeze fended off Roseblood's attacks easily, "You call that fighting? Kittypet!"
This cat's dangerous! If I can make her angry, she'll start to make mistakes!

The golden tabby and the white tom with black spots crouched over Kingdom protectively hissing at Theo and Lorem. The black she-cat whispered to Kingdom. "We're friends of Skybreeze, and we're here to help! There are more of us coming. My name is Dawnleaf, and my companions are Blazefire and Spottedstream." Dawnleaf indicated the golden tabby and the white tom with black spots, "You'll just have to hang in there! Only Skybreeze can remove the paralysis".

Rosekit's scent filled Skykit's nostrils. "Too... late... for... me..." she rasped. "Must... help... *cough* others..."

Sure!

The kit was in agony. She screamed and wailed in anguish. Through the pain she felt Berrykit collapse with exhausion.
Berrykit
At the edge of her vision she heard muffled nosies.
"Fox dung!" yowled the silver tom in frustration. "The protective shield's gone up again! I won't be able to break through!"
The Master nodded to a black she-cat, who stepped forward.
"That shield only protects the kit from physical harm. I can do much worse!"
The she-cat closed her eyes and concentrated. Instantly a bolt of agony shoved its way into the kit's head like a knife. The kit moaned and pitched onto her side pressing her head into the damp soil. It began to get worse. Every single nightmare she ever had forced its way into her mind. And with each image came another wave of agony. Dimly, the kit was aware of herself screaming, crying and begging the black she-cat to stop the pain. She came to herself when she was shoved into a cage and thrown into the cave. Outside she could hear the Master talking.

"Make sure no food or water is given to her. The cat who is protecting that kit won't be able to do so for much longer so we'll be able to torture her again tomorrow. When we recapture those other kits, we'll kill her as an example. I've been watching those twolegs control the fires, I know how they do it. So at Dawn tomorrow, that kit will burn."

The kit sent a silent plea before collapsing and knowing no more.
Please stay out of the Master's greedy paws! My life, as well as yours depends on it!

Skybreeze avoided Roseblood's clashing paws.
She's too strong! I need to get the key and remove the paralysis off Kingdom!
"Spottedstream! Dawnleaf! I need you to cover me to a few seconds!"

They nodded and lunged towards Roseblood, their claws unsheathed.

Skybreeze padded over to Kingdom and crouched beside him. Skybreeze concentrated.
Skybreeze navigated the breeze until she got to the paralysis surrounding Kingdom's brain.
The breeze tried to whisk the paralysis away from Kingdom's brain.

"Can you and Spottedstream corner Grim? He's got the key. I'll keep Roseblood busy!"
Skybreeze leapt towards Roseblood, aiming to pin her to the ground, while hissing at Dawnleaf and Blazefire to keep an eye on the Silver she-cat and to seal the exit so that the rest of the Elite won't come through.

Amberstripe padded up to her kits. "Skykit! Blazekit! I'm going on patrol, can you stay close to the other queens and kits while I'm gone?"
Skykit pounced on Amberstripe's tail and looked up at her with huge eyes. "Can we come with you? We'll be good, I promise!"
Amberstripe purred, "I'm sorry, but not this time."
Skykit's tail drooped, but she ran off with Blazekit to find Silverfoot, Roseflight and Goldenlily.
Amberstripe padded up to Darkwing, Leopardpaw and Wildflower, by the camp entrance, and dipped her head in greeting.

Skykit moaned as another wave of agony ripped through her weak and helpless body. She closed her eyes again and slipped into unconsciousness.

The kit lay still, receiving waves upon waves of agony, twitching and moaning in her sleep. For in her fevered mind, she could still hear the Master sharpening his claws and his instruments of torture, she could still hear the sound of the other cats piling dried wood in the centre of the camp, preparing for her death.

Blazekit had to do something. He felt the forest in ThunderClan territory grow red with blood. He saw the kits being murdered. There were three murderers in the forest. One was dead, but the others were living and just as dangerous. He appeared in the middle of ThunderClan camp. Startling the cats sharing tongues.
"There are three murderers in the forest. One is dead, but the other are living. Your forest is swelling red with blood. Kits are dying, Skykit and Leafkit are among them. You need to help stop them!" Blazekit yowled.
He then disappeared and sped to Leafkit and Skykit.
