    Andrea Buscani

    Plot

    "Can I have one small iced coffee with cream, sugar, and a shot of vanilla," Andrea said to the cashier at her favorite coffee diner.
    "That'll be two dollars and fifty-seven cents," the man said back to her, almost robotically. Andrea came here almost every Tuesday at the same time, 6:15. She grabbed a five out of her wrislet and handed it over. "It will be ready in just a minute," he told her. Andrea grabbed her change from him and walked over to the "waiting counter" to wait for her drink. After this she would be headed over to her best friend, Kiki's house to finish up some last minute homework, before they would carpool to school.
    It was the same routine everyday, even Kiki had said they needed some action in there life. However, Kiki had enough action in her life since she had taken up her new senior boyfriend. She was always bragging to Andrea about how much of a dream he was. Not to mention her new found popularity in the school. Soon enough though, Andrea grew tired of Kiki constantly talking about her "boo". They had officially agreed to narrow it down to 2 and a half hours a day.
    Grabbing her coffee and nodding a quick thank you, to the woman who handed it to her, Andrea stalked off out the door.

    "You just get lonely a lot. . .that's what you said. . .that you get lonely a lot and you like having company. But what I'm asking is," she hesitated for a moment, "did you only come back for company?" Saphira was cautious, choosing her words carefully. She couldn't risk letting anything slip and giving the wrong impression. At least not yet.

    Saphira looked at Zoro, blushing. "Well that's sweet of you to say," she replied. "I guess it would get lonely wandering the forest for days and days. It got pretty boring for me back in the pack too. I mean, all those duties and responsibilities." Saphira sighed, bittersweet memories flooding over her.

    "I'm sure they are by now. My hunters will be searching more this way, considering the prey is headed the same way." She scented the air, catching only the slightest hint of the lead hunter, Reasii. "I'm not sure how far off our borders they'll be willing to go. I doubt they will come this far without their alpha, and right now I don't scent him."

    "Ladies and gentlemen," President Monroe says into a microphone. He's speaking to an enormous crowd in the capitol. Everyone is dressed in feathers and colorful clothing powerful enough to make your eyes sore. "As you all know this year is a very special year! Not only is it our 11th Quater Quell, but also our 2nd ever Century Quell aniversary!" Monroe's voice booms over the speaker, his words making the crowd go wild in applause.

    A young boy around the age of 8 comes out on stage dressed in a violet suit and tie. He is holding a wooden box with the number 11 carved into it in his hands. Monroe opens the box and retrieves an envelop that has been yellowed-down from age. He opens it and takes a peice of paper out from within the envelop.

    "This year," the president reads, "as a reminder to all of the districts that they are in control of the capitol, none of the tributes will be allowed parachutes from sponsers throughout the arena before the last 12 tributes are standing." This extracts a huge reaction from the capitol people. The boy steps aside as a new attraction steals the attention.

    From the opposite side of the stage, a young man in his 20's walks onto the stage.He is dressed in the same purple suit and is holding a box identical to the one the young boy was holding. However, the number 2 is carved into the box in replace for the number 11.

    Once again, President Monroe removes a yellowed-down envelop, takes out the slip of paper and reads it, loud and clear, to the audience.

    "This year, in recollection of those lost in the rebel, the tributes from districts 1-4 will pick one person, male or female, to accompany them in the arena. This being said, they will be treated like any other tribute whilst they are in the arena."

    The crowd goes crazy. It's all a raging frenzy of pinks, yellows, greens, and blues. President Monroe bows and waves his goodbye to the capitol people and walks off stage, followed by the boy and the young man.

    "Most likely," Saphira said hesitating. "Although, they would most likely kill me as well, for being a traitor. I mean, seeing how I have no wounds that indicate you fought me. . .I would be executed for being a traitor."

    Accepted!

    @Driana:
    Since Jake and Driana are going to be allies anyway, do you just want Driana to be Jake's alli that he picks for the reaping?

    @--Rein☂
    Okay, you have 5 days to claim it and then it's open again! { New rule I just made! :) }

    @EVERYBODY!

    Try and spread this link around and make it. . ."presentable" if you know what I mean. The sooner we get all the spots, the sooner we can start!

    "Well, I suppose not if I returned. . .then I would have to make up some lie. But. . .I don't want to go back. I like having the freedom of doing anything. I mean, shouldn't everybody have this choice?" Saphira stopped, looking at Zoro. She wished that he could understand just how much she had longed for the right to do anything she desired.
