Frayedpaw blinked as she spotted Midnightpaw on the ground below. With nothing else to be doing, the dark gray she-cat jumped down from the tree branch, landing rather ungracefully a few feet away from him. "Hello!" Frayedpaw greeted enthusiastically after having picking herself up.

"Well of course," the apprentice responded happily. She paused a moment before realizing that Midnightpaw probably wanted to know what that name was. "It's Frayedpaw," she added with a flick of her dark tail.

"Alright," Frayedpaw murmured, half to herself. The apprentice had never been very confident in her fighting skills, but she couldn't get any better without trying. She took a deep breath to focus and then charged straight on at Kinktail, at the last moment weaving left at lunging at her mentor from the side.

Frayedpaw nervously ducked under Kinktail's incoming paw and twisted around. Then she hastily rolled and sprang back up just as she had been shown, surprised by how natural the movements felt.

*gasps* I used to have a little Mew figurine. With a motion sensor. It would mew when something moved in front of it.

Frayedpaw blinked her blue-green eyes in surprise at her mentor's comment, but smiled. She did want to become a great warrior. She watched Kinktail disappear up the tree before glancing around, becoming once again lost in thought.
