    ic; Periwinkle was stretched out in her nest, head placed on her paws while her swollen belly was round with her unborn kits. Tail wrapping protectively around her the medicine cat let out a yawn before kneeding her claws into the soft moss under her paws. "Paradise." She murmured in her sleep.

    ic; She knew she was in labor. Hell she was a medicine cat after all! Splayed out in the nest the young she-cat was panting as another breath taking spasm rushed through her body. Periwinkle let out a cry, her whole body tensing before she slumped to the ground tiredly. She could do it. Yes... Yes she could.


    As the next ripple ran through her she pushed, a thrill of happiness swelling around her as she felt her first kit enter the world. There was no time to lean down and help it though, another ripple passed through her even greater and yet another cry escaped her lips. "Paradise!" She cried.

    Another spasm raced through her and with a grunt of effort she pushed again, feeling the next kit come into the world. Periwinkle's eyes were wide with fear and happiness. She was a mother! With kits born from her... But she was also tiring quickly. Laying her head back against the soft mossy nest she panted, yet it seemed to almost be shallower... She wanted to sleep... But she couldnt, at least not yet..

    "Lorita?" Periwinkle meowed, the scent of her daughter flowing over her. Walking towards the scent she finally caught sight of her and smiled. "Hello baby. What are you doing? Its sorta chilly out."

    "About what?" The she-cat meowed, settling herself down next to her daughter, fur brushing against the her daughters frame.

    The blackened limbs shocked Periwinkle. This could would die... Or atleast lose its ears and nose. When such things turned black they became dead tissue and would rot away. Looking at the small scrap of fur sadly she leaned down and attemptes to pick it up by the scruf and move it indoors. "Lorita come here, i want you to help warm this kit up." Periwinkle meowed when she places the kitten in a moss filled nest.

    Another cry and once again the sensation of another spazm raked her body. But this time it went a lot smoother and her next kit came more easily into the world. With a grunt of effort she turned and nipped the kitting sack, and gave the small bundle a few rough licks to get them going, her tail curling around her three kits. Just one more.

    After recently kitting Periwinkle walked tiredly forward her eyes slightly dull. "You will do great Mosiac." She whispered softly, lieing down beaide the apprentice as she began to groom her. "I will be here to help you."
