Falconpaw sniffed around.His tail in the air,Falconpaw marched off to catch the vole he spotted.He wanted to prove he was worthy of an mentor!Falconpaw slid on his stomache till he reached the vole scouting for food.He pounced and killed it with a swift,clean bite to the neck.Trotting with his tail high in the air,Falconpaw skirted into camp to deposit his prey into the fresh-kill pile.Scuffling along Falconpaw trotted to his den to get some sleep.

Falconpaw skitted across to see the Shimmering Lake.He quietly slid in and watched to see a fish streak by.A silver flash caught Falconpaw's eyes and he darted his paw,with his claws outstretched,and caught the silver body.Falconpaw bit his prey and happily trotted off in the direction of camp to give his prey to the elders.
