Inuyasha was silent for a moment, as if at a lack of words.
"Naraku's son," he managed to get out.
Nasha nodded and looked around the cave.
"So what happened? She asked gently.
"I told you already." Inuyasha sounded aggrivated. "Naraku has a son named Irie."
"No thanks." Kurire said, holding out a hand, palm up. "It looked like you barfed when you did it."
btw, blackbird, what site is your avi from? It looks kinda like Soliaonline ^.^
and idk. I wanna start now though
"Don't know what you're talkin about..." Inuyasha grunted as he struggled to to stand.
Kurire glanced at the door, her wings folding in quickly and silently. She walked towards it, hood still up, and turned the handle, opening the door.
Kyure looked at the leg wound a bit before starting. She took a cloth and gently wiped away the blood, careful not to push hard. She whipped out the bandages with one hand while finishing the cleaning with the other. Gently removing the cloth, she quickly wound the bandage around the woundb with a simple flick of the wrist. It nestled perfectly, not too tight nor too loose, against the grooves of her leg. She brought an edge of the bandages to her mouth and cut it with her teeth before tying it tightly.
"There." She said, standing up. "Better?" She herself was tense as though she were in pain, but her face didn't show it. All it showed was care and worry for the others.
Inuyasha looked away. He sighed in defeat.
"He was the one that sent that bear demon after Saki. He was trying to get me back for killing his dad." He muttered.
Kyure nodded, a smile dancing across her lips. "That's good." She looked around, only moving her head, for any other injured.
Inuyasha's ears twitched as he sniffed the air. He sighed again.
"Saki you're supposed to be in bed." He said, back to the door she was hiding in.
"Don't worry about it." Kyure muttered. A drop of blood landed on the ground beside her, running down her bloody arm.
"A bad demon is back, yes. But not the bear. The bear won't ever come back." Inuyasha told his daughter, crouching.
Inuyasha drew her in, holding her close.
"You won't." He promised. "I won't let you."
Kurire walked back to her bed and sat down on the edge, looking out the window.
Kyure said nothing for a second, her face pale.
"Yeah." She managed to choke out, somehow keeping a relatively straight voice.
Inuyasha sat there, eyes closed, his face buried in Saki's hair. His body was stiff with controlled emotions.
Inuyasha didn't move. He breathed in Saki's smell, trying to relax himself.
