She narrowly missed falling into a hole. Whitespring had to stop for a moment to catch her breath, but she realized she was falling farther and farther behind Lestrade and Dawnpaw so she got up and ran full speed toward them and toward the flag.

A soft, white paw touches the flagpost and Whitespring found herself back in the forest, in reality. She let out a sigh of relief and wondered if she'd ever meet those cats again. Probably not. She smiled, and ran quickly through the trees, just happy to be home.
