Lyric was a fighting dog and was the only one his master owned. He would fight each night and would encounter death but would never give up because his love for his master was that strong. On one fateful night his master got in trouble with a major gang because they didn't lose and his master wasn't going to give up Lyric. So they fled the country; they were found. His master was slaughtered and it was a miracle he survived with such little damage other than the leg.

Connie was born and raised in an illegal puppy farm. The best out of her litter she was picked to breed more puppies. Without any really guidance her puppies came out to be crosses. She was abused until she was rescued with one of the pups she was protecting and a litter. Only one pup survived the birth.

Wake Solider, wake, Thy War-Horse waits

There was no other who braved the war so strongly than the horses in the Calvary who ran the no man’s land without thinking about what stood ahead. They feared the ripple of the machine guns which called out death but stood strong and ran forth. No matter what fate beheld them on the long journey.
The horses could feel everything from their riders fears to the danger that they would face. From the training they know what noises they face.

To bear thee on battle back;

But how calm can you stay when the whole world is falling apart. With trusty companion on their backs; the runners of this race are a mixture or racers, farm workers, carriage pullers and athletes none born or raised to fight yet they run it with triumphant pride. This is the story of the solider and his horse.
