Swallowpaw bounded out of the den, eager to be out in the forest.
Then, she noticed that there hardly seemed to be any cats in the clearing. With a sigh, she sat down to wait.

"What do you want?" Swallowpaw asks.

"Sure" Swallowpaw bounced up and down excitedly. "Who else is coming?"[/size]

Swallowpaw stopped jumping, embarrased as she realises that she was behaving like a kit.

"You're nearly old enough to be a warrior!" she muttered to herself. "What's Nightstar going to think?"

OOC: Who should Swallowpaw's mentor be?

"Okay." Swallowpaw replied. She hurried towards the deputy: "Lacewing, Nightstar says I'm coming with you on patrol!"
When Swalowpaw reached Lacewing, she paused, worried. She'd sensed a sudden uneasiness. Looking round, she spotted Nightstar and Snowfall looking troubled.

OCC: Sure

Swallowpaw frowned, then decided that whatever her mentor and her leader were worried about, it seemed useless to try and find out. She turned away, waiting for Lacewing to start the patrol.

Bored, Swallowpaw flicked her tail. "If this patrol doesn't start soon," she thought, "I'll just run into the forest myself!"

Swallowpaw paused, then, glancing both ways, ran into the forest. After a while running, she scented Stormwave and some strange cats. Bursting through the bushes, she gasped "Whats happening?"

"Ur, I smell some strange cats" Swallowpaw told him.

Swallowpaw raced after the departing cats. "Can I come with you?".

Excitement bubbled in Swallowpaw's mind Must stay calm. I'll be a warrior soon.

OOC: Can I add a new cat?

"What's going to happen?" burst out Swallowpaw, unable to contain herself any longer.

Swallowpaw wriggled, annoyed, then gave up.

Swallowpaw hesitated, wondering if she should try to talk to one of the new cats.

Ashpelt came out of the Warriors den with Breezetail, and they walked towards Lacewing to find out what was happening. "Sorry we weren't up earlier." Breezetail apologised, "But we were on patrol late last night"

OOC: Swallowpaw will have a crush on Hawk later in story

Finally, Swallowpaw made her move. She sidled nervously up to where Ripple was standing with Hawk, Feather and Raven. "Hi" She felt anxious. Would they like her?

Curious, as always, Swallowpaw raced away from the new cats and crept after Nightstar and Stormwave, positioning herself behind a rock. She had good hearing, and would be able to hear what was going on in the den.
