Hawkstorm staggered after him, the cuts and lacerations on his face and neck reopening. Blood coursed down his face in thin rivulets, split at the bridge of his nose and dribbled down his chin in large wet drops; as he walked, it splattered onto the snow, and his stiff and tired feet churned the crimson in with the bits of grass and dirt. He was nodding off, practically sleepwalking, both his eyes swollen shut, his ear hanging off the side of his head in tattered ribbons. His handsome face was so bruised and battered that it was rendered unrecognizable, hideous even, and the purple welts that rose along the ridge of his jaw grew inflamed and spewed pus.

He cried out once in anguish, but the wind caught his voice and thrust it back at him, howling louder than he ever could. He did not have the strength to fight over it. He stared at Miniplax's withdrawing back, and cursed it and spit into the snow.
