"What?" A pair of shell-shocked copper eyes peered out from the darkness. Leviathan had heard of the Gatherings, a huge assembly of clan cats that crammed into the forest--the one that had this copse of four giant trees smack dab in the middle of it--and he did not very well like the idea of being jostled about like a ship wrecked at sea. Just thinking about it sent his hackles bristling. "That's like signing your will," he said. First of all, more cats, and secondly, more cats that'd like to rip the fur off their faces. No, no, and triple no.

She saw her out of the tail of her eye, a glimpse really, of a flash of silver-grey fur, and when her eyes darted to the side, tracing the she-cat's path along the edge of the clearing where the brambles grew thickest, she knew that this was no ordinary warrior. Primrose turned her head to acquire a better view of the latest arrival, and was struck by her blatant beauty. What a knockout, she thought, and she looked down at herself: at her grizzly pelt and haggard face, at the little twigs and burrs that she hadn't bothered to brush out this morning when she had set off for Fourtrees. She felt a twinge of regret, and more than the usual self-consciousness. There was a she-cat all the toms would be sneaking glances at throughout the meeting, and here was... just Primrose.

Travels executed a very pretty walk; his hips did not sway, and his tail was held mid-thigh behind him. Primrose was absolutely ecstatic. He was good at this, and doing exceedingly well--too well; she wondered if he had done this before.

"A nice one. Though you don't have to have your spine split your back in two. A little less pointy, a little more smooth. The gait is fine, and normally the speed depends on the situation, such as how far the prey is and how formidable. But this is good for a beginning. I'm sure you'll make a very adept hunter," she meowed, following after him in her own version of a stalking position. Her belly was low to the ground, but not so low as to crush the snow beneath her, and her paws she placed so delicately upon the snow that when she lifted them into the air, there was not a noise to be heard nor a track to be seen. "Training in wintertime is a great opportunity to practice silence. I want you to try to walk on the snow without sinking."

His smile grew ever wider, and he extended a calloused and well-worked hand to Rogue. "Please reconsider and come with us. It's too dangerous here."

At that moment, Primrose snapped her head back towards Travels, her dear little apprentice, and all thoughts of being a Barbie doll were emptied out onto the snow. She couldn't very well have the darling sense weakness in her. Teenagers were like rabid dogs; they would bite the hand that fed them if they could get away with it.

She thought she was having some much needed alone time with her darling dear--the training sessions just weren't cutting it--and Primrose was about to dive enthusiastically into the wondrous and mind-boggling dynamics of aerial flight when yet another tiny squeaky-voiced, apple-cheeked apprentice dipped into her conversation. Or was it that she had intercepted his? She wasn't so sure, nor did she care, but looking down at the cute little thing from her lofty height was quite empowering, and she decided that it wouldn't hurt to impart some knowledge onto such a poorly educated runt as himself, after all it was Windclan she smelled on him.

"The art of falling. A most desirable skill. What I mean by that is that I will teach you how to land, actually, when falling. Unfortunately I'm not that strong, thanks to my average size, so when I fight I utilize balance. And I will teach you, Travels, to stay on your toes no matter what, because maintaining your balance means staying alive in a battle."

And she nodded all sagely and wise, as if falling and landing were something she had down to a science.

"Little girl, you know nothing about the enchanting world of women," he mewed, and as he said this, he was covertly moving to the right, inching along the wall, closer and closer to his prize. A few times his eyes strayed towards the miniature mountain, the white-capped peak that sparkled like glass in the sunlight, and it whispered to him promises of the secret paradise that would unfurl inside his mouth once he closed his lips upon it. So close, just a little more...

Why do you want him/her?: I absolutely love the name!
Do you agree with the 'rules'?: Yes!
    How active are you? 9/10
RP Sample with chosen character: She tumbled out from the makeshift nest of twigs and brambles, a few last autumn leaves clinging to her back like fragile miniature wings. It was sunny out, and the unaccustomed brilliance of the daylight hurt her eyes and persuaded her to retreat into the safety of the nest, mewling for her mother, her sole protector and guardian, and trembling at this new and unknown anomaly. Never before had she encountered such blinding pain, and she now felt the absence of her mother like a constant thorn in her side. It was a prickling sensation, a feeling of uneasiness and foreboding, and she heeded it as a kitten with any common sense would do, settling down into the brambles and making herself comfortable.

Miles sighed and withdrew his offered hand. "Very well. Good luck, Rogue." He turned around and made for the doors, the heels of his boots slapping against the generic black-and-white checkered tiles.

Miles raised an eyebrow in a nonverbal question, tapping out an impatient tune against the polished-to-a-shine glass paneling on the doors. He didn't have much time to waste. "What is it?"

It was yet another cat, female by her high voice and sweet scent, an intoxicating ambrosia, an exotic perfume that was specific to each and every member of the opposite gender. Curse their soft bodies and innocent looks, their bright teeth and long tails. He wished he could purge the world of their whining and simpering--and this wasn't how he normally acted around strangers. There were just too many cats, and the number was only going to increase, it seemed. He felt claustrophobic, trapped, and the shade of the pine tree wasn't helping much.

"Let's think about other things, Dezzy. What about that bear cub you wanted so much?" he said, hoping to distract her from yet another perilous idea. He didn't know how they got into her head like that--one disaster after another.

"You're doing great," she purred, coming up beside him and keeping pace. She couldn't help but notice how painfully controlled was each step he made; it took a lot for a bouncy teenager to restrain that incredible energy and take the time and the effort to focus. But that didn't stop her from pushing him further. "Now let's try a little faster."

He saw her moment of weakness, calculated the exact span of time that proceeded and exceeded the space of the battle between her indignant and childish pride and her bodily desires, and just as she conquered the urge to take him on and beat him at his own game, he made it. Oh, glorious sugar! Holy mountain! Georgie would've bowed down and worshipped at its feet if it wasn't so enticing. He turned around, his mouth full of sugar, and smiled. "Well, at least sugar will never dump you cold," he meowed, and his eyes rolled into the back of his head, such was the height of his pleasure. "Mmm. So good." He dipped his tail in it and dangled it in front of her prissy little face. "So good."

She watched through narrowed eyes as the newbie messed up the most commonly used and simplest of phrases. Oh, Windclan, what do you do with your children? The ginger tabby was feeling more than sympathetic, largely because Afterpaw also had a pretty face, not Travels' rough-and-tumble, but more like a Polish schoolboy: graceful, neat, refined--though the raw truth of his situation had been revealed to her during these few precious and critical seconds: he was completely uneducated. Now, if Moony had been here, she would have held a very severe and harsh critiquing session, pointedly held right under the poor apprentice's nose, but to her bad luck she was not currently present, and Primrose had to make do with a simple,

"His name is Travels, dear," and a not so covert roll of the eyes.

((I have to say, your she-cats end up getting physical somehow with my toms. xD Like, with Seamist and Hawkstorm, they stage a high-speed chase in the Warriors' Den.))

Georgie saw his life flash before his eyes--the majority of which was spent wolf-whistling and pretty passerby, assisting elderly pedestrians cross the thunderpath, and many, many meaningless days rolling around in farm hay and blowing raspberries at the dumb horses. It was funny how the whole entirety of one's existence on this earth could pass by so fast, or be summed up in so few images, but it was how things went for him--how they happened--like the cars that roared and thundered across the shiny black tar pits, coughing gasoline and leaking petroleum; and when he had run out of memories, he was deposited back into his frozen body, looking through his wide and petrified eyes at the delicately-made and effeminate paws that were rushing towards him like the wind, and the pretty face that summoned one word to his lips, a name: Ophelia.

It hurt more than he thought he could feel hurt. They collided, her in midair, him standing stupidly on the ground, and the result was disastrous. He tumbled back into the sugar, send it flying everywhere, spraying it in showers. Sugar got into his eyes, his nose, his mouth, and he was choking in sugar, certain that he was drowning in sugar, and he wallowed about pathetically, exercised the utmost control he had over his limbs to flop about and squirm, all the while too panicked to realize that he wasn't going anywhere because he was pinned beneath Ophelia's weight, not to mention the dozen or so nosebags full to the brim with sugar that they had somehow manage to unhook and send toppling over them in a giant, stuffy tent.

"For the love of-! By Jove!" he meowed, struggling and flailing wildly. His claws scrabbled against the back wall, and one of his claws got stuck in a small brown knob in the wood. He tugged at his arm, arched his spine against the wall and pulled. He was caught! Something had got his paw! "I'm going to die! Save me!" He tried to execute a classic stop-drop-and-roll maneuver, but found that he couldn't even turn his head to the other side. He was trapped underneath something, something really heavy. "You oughta lose some weight," he mumbled, spitting out droplets of molten sugar. He liked sugar, but this was just too much.
