Brian, as he had introduced himself as, merely stared at Sam in response. His mouth gaped open slightly as he seemingly tried to think of what to say, lifting a finger as he did so. "You... You got me there" He admitted, pointing at Sam. "I understand that this isn't the best way to bring this up, but, uh... I didn't really have the time to plan things better. You know what I'm saying?"

"No..." Dan responded, fixing Brian with an incredulous look, at least until his attention was brought towards the door. It sounded like the others had all gathered outside their door, with Sarah being the only one who sounded genuinely concerned. Jack and Theo, well, it sounded like they thought Dan and Sam were up to some serious rambunctious stuff. This had the brunet placing a hand over his face in an embarrassed manner, Sam undoubtedly feeling the same way. He listened as Sam called towards the others that they were okay and that they could come in- They were decent. That sentence had Brian's brow furrowing upwards, he glancing between the two before he brought his focus towards the door.

Jack was the one who opened the door, pushing it aside as he looked at Dan and Sam. He fixed the two with a questioning expression, at least until he took notice to Brian. He stared at the unfamiliar man with wide eyes, right before he tilted his head back slightly and looked up at the ceiling. "Oh my god, you guys" Jack said in exasperated tone, his words causing Dan's gaze to snap towards him. "Jack, no!" He told the blond, beginning to feel his face heat up as well.

Meanwhile, Brian's eyes darted back and forth between Jack and the couple; a look of realization beginning to cross his face. "Oh" He said, the situation seeming to dawn on him, "Oh shit, man. Is that what was going on? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be a blocker. Shit, had I known, I would've given you guys, like, thirty minutes or something."

Jenny blinked when Hank mentioned that he hoped she didn't lick blood, this causing her to raise an eyebrow at him again. "No, Lieutenant Anderson, I don't" She responded, at least until her attention was brought to Connor. The male android didn't seem too pleased by Hank's comment and was quick to defend himself- Explaining that was how he took samples. Hank didn't care though, stating that it was disgusting. Before an argument could take place though, Connor changed the subject, reminding Hank that they had work to do. Now wasn't the time to bicker about a part of Connor's design. During this brief dispute, Jenny merely glanced between the two; keeping a neutral expression. She knew that humor could sometimes be used to diffuse a tense situation, but she got the sense that now wasn't the time for it.

(I was really tempted to have Jenny say something back as a joke XD)

"Okay, I think that's enough of that" Sarah eventually said, trying to aid Sam in getting everyone to drop the subject of them having sex. She aimed an annoyed look at Theo when the other continued to talk anyway, pointing out that they hadn't been back for that long- They would've had to be all over each other the moment they got through the door. In response to this, Sarah reached around the back of Theo's head and clamped a hand over his both. She shot her boyfriend a disapproving look, one which clearly read 'drop it' before she removed her hand.

Once she did, Theo soon turned his attention to something else in the room; quickly taking notice to the shattered window. "Wait" He said as his eyes becoming wide before he threw his hands up in disbelief, "What the hell happened to the window? Guys, we have to pay for that now!" Theo screeched, the high pitch of his voice causing Jack to wince away from him.

Dan was grateful for Sarah having got Theo to drop the previous subject, but now he was going to have to listen to Theo complain about the broken window- Honestly, he just couldn't win tonight. In response to Theo's outburst, Sam managed a dry laugh. "Ask the genius over there" He said, directing the attention towards Brian, "Who quite literally broke into our room."

"Yeah... I did" Brian said with a sigh when everyone's eyes became fixed on him. He tucked his hands into the pouch of his sweatshirt, glancing around at the group as he register each of their faces. "But that's only because you're staying in a murder cabin, dudes."

Jenny turned her head to focus on Connor, listening closely as he explained the theory that both him and Hank had settled upon. Stratford Tower? Jenny's LED spun yellow, running a search on the location Connor was talking about. "Got it" She said after having received the information she needed, "If needed, I can list all probable entryways and exits, as well as take note of any security cameras." Jenny soon offered.

(I regret not doing so XD, maybe next time. That's fine by the way, maybe now might be a good point to either have Connor talk to Amanda or the squad shows up at Stratford. By the way I wanted to ask you something.)

(Hmm... How about Amanda? And alright, so, remember how I said we should have a thread that takes place after the revolution when humans and androids are coexisting together? Well, I may have a vague plot aside from police squad shenanigans.)

(Would you mind starting? Or should I? As for the idea, it centers around some darker themes. It involves Connor and Hank being assigned to a homicide case involving an older couple and their grown children. At first they think it's just an isolated incident, until more homicide cases begin to emerge and they begin to find a pattern. Eventually they discover that they may be dealing with the first android to be labeled as a serial killer.)

(Sure, no problem ^ ^ I'll have the post up in a bit. Okay, I'm glad to hear. I thought I'd let you know first since some people aren't always okay with darker themes. I can make the thread since you said you already have a lot on your plate. I just want to plan out the antagonist a little bit.)

(No problem :3 Sorry if the post is a little short, I gotta go eat. Looking forward to doing the new thread with you then X3 I'll start on it soon.)

As stated by the female android herself, Jenny was going to aid Hank and Connor in their investigation to the best her abilities- Which is exactly what she set out to do. She got to work right away after being brought up to speed on their investigation. Her instructions were to make sure that results came from the case, and that's what she was determined to do. It didn't take her long at all to start doing research into the structure of the Stratford Tower and the employees who worked there. She seemed determined to help them, but that didn't gloss over one looming question- Why did they need her?

Of course, the obvious answer was the lack of progress in the investigation, but could be something more to it? Had Jenny been sent on the account that they were displeased with Connor? Did they think he was incompetent in his work?

Of Connor must've had a lot of questions, but with little to answer. Jenny couldn't tell him what their superiors were thinking, she was just there to do her job. But if there was one person who could, it was Amanda.

    Unknown Residence, Unknown Time.

There was a dull thud as the body hit the floor, bending into a heap when it was unable to withstand the pressure any longer. The android watched, a gleam of morbid fascination held within the depths of their onyx-colored eyes. The deep wound just above the victim's collarbone had since stopped pumping blood and was reduced to a stagnant flow, the life slowly draining from the young man's body. Still riding high on a sense of satisfaction, the android stepped over the victim's legs and strolled up to their sides- Staring into the man's vacant gaze. Surely he was gone by now, his brown eyes looking up at his attacker's face, but seeing nothing. It was over and soon enough so would the feelings that flooded the android's system. The surging power, the unwavering glee, it would all be snuffed out; just like this young man's life. Eventually they knew that they would have to start the process over again, but it would be worth the effort in the end. To many, taking another's life was the ultimate crime, a sick and despicable act that only a monster was capable of committing. But to the android, it was a way of feeling alive. Each dying exhale was like a breath of fresh air to them, knowing that they were ridding the world of another wretched human. But unfortunately, like many things in life, it never lasted- And soon they would be on the hunt again.

    Detroit Police Station, 8:35 AM

    8:35 AM, late.

The female detective leaned back in her chair, slender fingers drumming along the surface of her desk. Those two should've been here by now, She thought as she glanced over her shoulder, blue eyes settling upon the two empty desks behind her own. She sighed at the sight, knowing that Hank must've been the reason why neither he nor Connor were present. Even though the lieutenant's attendance had improved dramatically because of the other android, it didn't mean that there weren't still days where he chose to ignore his alarm. Honestly, it was probably only because of Connor's persistence that he bothered to be on time at all. That android took professionalism to another level. He was always on time and always did his job. Out of all the other newbie cops to join the DPD, Connor was probably one of the best at his job. It was because of this that Jenny often felt a sense of pride towards the other. Androids technically couldn't have siblings, not in the way that humans did- But that didn't stop Jenny from seeing him as one. Watching Connor advance in his career was like watching an older brother succeed, you couldn't help but feel proud of them.

But right now, the only thing Jenny felt was a twinge of exasperation. Out of all the days that Hank had to hit the snooze button, it had to be today- When the three were being assigned to a new case.

Hearing Theo begin to rant about the window again, as well as Sam's complaints, Sarah reached towards the other. This time, she slapped both hands over Theo's mouth and kept them there. It became clear by her firm grip that she wasn't removing them until Brian had the chance to explain himself. So, with Theo now silenced, she looked at Brian. "Please, explain" She told him, this causing Brian to momentarily quirk an eyebrow at them. Nevertheless, he obliged.

Shifting from foot-to-foot, he glanced around at everyone- Appearing to be rather nervous given his motions. "Uh, yeah, anyway... Murder cabin" He said off with, eventually choosing to focus solely on the three at the doorway. "So I'm guessing you're staying here because it's a nice place for a decent price, right?" Brian asked, biting the inside of his cheek when he got a nod from Jack in response. "Yeah..." The blond told him as he raised an eyebrow at him, "Theo found it online."

"Okay, well. Y'see that was the bait and you took it" The man stated, now frowning slightly at the group. "This place, it looks nice, but that's because the people who you rented from are planning to murder you- Well... They won't be doing the actual killing part, they're more like, um, management."

Needless to say, Brian got a lot of stares. "What the actual hell are you talking about?" Jack asked, fixing Brian with a look of disbelief. This guy had to be on drugs or something. He just crashed through a window and was now telling them that the people they rented the cabin from were planning on killing them. However, Jack's obvious skepticism didn't seem to deter Brian, as he continued to press his case. "I'm talking the Show, man. All this here is just a set and you guys are the actors. Everything that you think you know about this place is a lie."

Oh, Dan knew what he was getting at- But he was wishing that he hadn't. He listened to Sam as he began to ramble on about how his and Oscar's fathers knew each other for a long time, that they had grown up together and were great friends. Of course though, with how badly Sam was stammering, it was near impossible to decipher what he was saying. Eventually though, Sam manged to get on the subject about how the Days had come over to his family's house and that they were coming back for dinner. But that wasn't what was troubling Sam.

No, it was Oscar. Dan's brow furrowed as the other brought him up, listening as Sam described him in his own words. Oscar was smart, he was athletic, he was nice- In short he was perfect. He was everything that you could ask for in a guy, but to hear this kind of admiration come from Sam... It caused Dan's gut to twist up. However as the brunet would come to figure out, it wasn't just admiration which Sam felt towards Oscar; but something else entirely. Soon, Sam came to describe what happened between them. They had been in his room after Sam's father had told him to keep Oscar company and as he put it, he looked at Oscar and... Well, Dan guessed that Sam's presence here explained what happened afterwards.

For a while, the teen said nothing; instead tilting his chin downwards so he could stare at the floor. He knew what this was about, why Sam was here- Because he didn't know who else to talk to about this sort of thing. "You... You like him" Dan soon said, those words coming out more as a statement than a question. He turned his attention back to Sam, the other teen's ashen face telling him all he needed to know. Sam had feelings for Oscar, but he knew that he shouldn't, and he came to Dan because he knew that he could trust him with this. Of course, Dan was always willing to help Sam out with anything, but... But why did this hurt so much?

Dan swallowed thickly, momentarily glancing between Sam and the floor. He could feel his chest tighten at the sight of Sam as he began to break down into tears. He didn't want to see Sam cry, it had to be the worst sight in the world. Not because the other was an ugly crier or anything but because, well, he didn't want to see Sam so upset. It hurt to seem him in such a state, but that wasn't the only pain he was feeling. Sam... Sam liked Oscar, Oscar Day, the golden boy- Someone Dan had no chance against. But then again, it wasn't like he had a shot to begin with, did he? The brunet shook his head at this invading thought. No, this was about Sam. Not his own selfish emotions. Sam needed somebody and right he was the only who could here for him.

Shoving those unpleasant emotions down into the pit of his stomach, Dan focused his attention solely on Sam, soon approaching the other. It wouldn't be long until Sam would find arms encircling him and pulling him against Dan, the brunet securing him in a firm hug. He knew what turmoil Sam was going though, he gone through the same thing himself, and honestly... He was hoping that Sam would never have to experience it. "I know..." He murmured in the other's ears, retaining a gentle tone, "I know..."

It was an awful thing Sam was going through, not because homosexuality was bad, but because people made it out to be. But thankfully he wouldn't have to go through this alone, not like Dan had to. "It's confusing and it's scary, Sam. But I want you to know right now that this doesn't change who you are. You're still the nice, bright kid that you were before. This... This is just a part of you, not everyone is going to understand it and you might not either for a bit, but I promise... You're not going to be alone."

(Nah, your post is fine! ^ ^ Good luck with your day.)

Sure enough, Amanda was there at the center of the garden- An area that served as the designated meeting place for her and Connor. Should he ever need to find her, she was usually right there. The woman's back was turned to him, she seeming to be preoccupied with the wall of roses before her. Due to the chill in the air, many of the vibrant, red flowers have begun to show signs of fading. Amanda seemed to be examining the dying roses, her fingers brushing against the brittle petals of one. It wouldn't be until the android called out for her that she finally turned to look in his direction. "Connor" She greeted, moving to face the approaching android. Amanda clasped her hands in front of her as she eyed him closely, there being something more... Distant about her. Her voice lacked its usual lightness, instead being replaced by a more reserved tone. It was like when a mother knew that their child had done wrong. She didn't scold him, but her discontent was clear. "I trust that you've become acquainted with Jenny by now?" Amanda asked him, though she probably already knew the answer. She knew every detail about Connor after all.

(Sorry for taking a while to reply, Wi-Fi issues ^ ^')

"We've noticed... Issues, in terms of the investigation" Amanda told him, tilting her head slightly at the android. There was little doubt that she was observing him very closely, monitoring his tone and expressions. She noticed that Connor seemed dispirited, which was to be expected considering his statement- He knew that CyberLife was disappointed in his progress. "Jenny has been implemented in order to assist you in areas that you've been lacking in. Rather than apprehend the AP-series deviant like you've been instructed to, you chose to work alongside it. That goes against what we told you to do, Connor" Amanda told him, right before she straightened herself slightly. "However, you did so into order to track down an even worse threat. Yet- These people that the AP-series is associated with. I believe they are distracting you from your mission." That said, Amanda turned away from him, returning her attention to the wall of roses. "That girl... Paige, was it? You seem fond of her, Connor."

(That's fine, don't worry ^ ^ I may of decided to go a bit overboard with my post XD Also I'm trying to decide whether or not Jenny should be at the park with Sumo.)

Ben seemed to know about Connor's outings, but didn't really do anything to stop the other android. He understood if Connor was looking for something to do, after all, his little house only offered so much. The brunet had already gone through whatever books Ben had in a surprisingly short amount of time, and as Ben would come to learn- A bored Connor was often a cranky one. So when Connor started going out, Ben said nothing. If wasn't as if the android was being reckless or anything. In fact, Connor always made sure to conceal himself and keep a low profile. He could handle himself and Ben knew that. However, Hank may of had a different opinion. Despite how ill-tempered the lieutenant often was and the short disputes he and Connor had, he always seemed concerned about the android's well-being- He worried. That had to be the reason why Connor always returned before the human woke up. However, unbeknownst to both, it seemed that Connor may of strayed a little farther than usual- Much farther. Eventually, during some point in his walk, Connor would find himself in a more populated area. A park to be exact. It was one of those smaller ones that could be found scattered throughout the city, with benches and walkways and green grass. It seemed that Connor wasn't the only one who decided to take advantage of the warm weather, many other androids were out too. Some were sitting upon the benches and chatting while others were doing the same thing as Connor and just walking around. There even seemed to be a female android playing with a child, an android child that is. So far no one seemed to think anything of Connor, probably assuming him to just be another park goer.

Amanda seemed to be listening to what Connor had to say when the subject of Paige was brought up. However as he went on to say that Paige interested him and was full of theories, the older woman turned to look at him again. Though she retained a neutral expression, it was clear in her eyes how much she detested Paige's influence. The child had gotten Connor into conspiracy theories, a ridiculous interest that distracted him from his work. Thankfully though, Connor seemed to realize this. He admitted that he knew it was a distraction and that he shouldn't have lost focus on his job, his answer seeming to appease Amanda- Though it was hard to tell. "I'd rather you cease any unnecessary interactions with Paige, she does not pertain towards your investigation" She told the android, "You may continue to work alongside the suspect as long as you make progress in finding the identity of this new threat. However, once this is all over- I want you to continue with your original objective and bring in the AP-series deviant, we still need to analyze its biocomponents in order to learn about its modifications. Be careful though, Connor. It would be unfortunate if you were to become compromised."

"Tsk tsk, Connor" Jenny said to the other android after the two had scrambled into the precinct, listening to him as he gave a quick apology. Of course, Jenny wasn't going to be hard on him for being eight minutes and thirty-three second late- She had a feeling that Connor was already displeased with himself as it was. Besides, it wasn't his fault that they had shown up late. Judging by a quick analysis of Hank, he was exhibiting signs of a hangover. This caused Jenny to turn around in her chair so she could better look at them. She tilted her head at Hank, fixing him with a knowing quirk of her eyebrow. However, she said nothing, knowing that if Hank was still recovering from a hangover- He wasn't going to be in the best of moods. "Just us being assigned to a new case" She said in respond to Connor's words. Her blue eyes glanced between the two before finally choosing to rest on Hank. He explained that they would've been here sooner, but Hank needed his coffee; this causing Jenny to snort in response. "Yeah, well, you're definitely going to need that caffeine when you hear what we're going to be dealing with" She said, gaze shifting towards Connor. "Quadruple homicide" Jenny described, "A whole family."

(No, the quality is fine X3 Sorry if my post is a bit shorter.)

At Connor's question, Amanda gave him a long stare, before returning her attention to the roses. She reached out towards one of them yet again, this time carefully grabbing the stem between his fingers. She plucked with it from the wall, being mindful of the rose's thorns. "These deviants... It seems as though they're beginning to have an effect on you" Amanda said, moving to face Connor with the wilting rose in her hand. "The one that was involved with the shooting at the police station, what did you think of it shutting down?" She asked him, fixing Connor with an observant gaze. Of course she had to of known about Jodie, and the interaction between her and Connor before she passed away. Did Amanda suspect that Connor was effected by it in someway? Did she know of the software instability the android had been experiencing?

(Connor's going to get ran over XD)

Of course, some androids did own pets, those that saw the appeal in them anyway. But chances were that Sumo would've been left alone in Hank's house, that or seized and brought to a shelter. The latter was probably the more hopeful option, considering that it meant Sumo would have someone watching after him- But it also meant that the chances of finding him were slim. With the position that Connor and Hank were in, neither were able to simply waltzed into a shelter; it was much too risky. That and there was the chance that another android could've already taken the dog. However, it was much better than Sumo starving alone in a house. As Connor continued to walk through the park at a slow pace though, something from behind came charging after him.

    "Boof!"

Before Connor would be able to turn around, or even process what was going on- Something large and heavy came crashing into his legs, nearly knocking him over. It looked like Connor had been wrong, there were dogs here, or at least one. One which was evidently happy to see him.
