They were all dropping like flies. It would be a lie to say that the silver Skeleton wasn't in the least little bit concerned. It worried him that all of a sudden they did not seem to enjoy life. Lexlythor had seemed rather pessimistic before his suicide attempt. Laurette was already itching to dig her claws into her limbs for what seemed like the millionth time in her life. And now poor, innocent Kairi had stabbed herself. What had happened to the strong BoneClan he had known as a kitten? That BoneClan had never had any regrets. They had lived life to its fullest and never ceased to rise to the occasion. Now it was all a mess.

Letting out an anguished grunt as he trotted up to the ex-Herb's daughter with an air of urgency all around him, Cosentino blinked his deep silver orbs. "Someone get Radium or Izabella. Or Cherrypaw." He seemed dutiful, head inclined towards the suffering female. The tom would have done it himself, although he felt obligated to stay by Amani's daughter. They had already lost the friendly tabby. Her daughter did not need to go with her, no matter how much she wished it would happen.

"Kairi," he whispered softly, face lowered by her ear. "Are you feeling alright?" It was a stupid question: of course she wasn't. However, Hysteria had told them (when Austere had had her eye poked out by an idiotic rogue) that talking to that cat kept their brain working. It kept them alive. And of course he wanted to make sure she didn't pass out. Because if she did, he knew that she might never wake up.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]

No, Cosentino was not an Omen, but liked to drop in and help with these kind of things. The silver-blue ticked tabby made his way towards the three cats, watching idly as Gingerpaw sped past him. Shrugging off his curiosity, the Skeleton eyed Kexdrop. "Hello," the tom greeted, allowing a slight smile to creep up onto his maw. The leader's apprentice sat down, whiskers twitching as did so. There were so many trespassers nowadays. He was beginning to questioned BoneClan's usually intimidating air.

"I'm Cosentino," he introduced himself, regarding the newcomer with a cordial flick of his banded tail. The brawny tom never seemed to grow suspicious of how felines seemed to just... appear at the border. He had been within the clan for quite a long time, and had gotten used to it at a stark age of three moons, when he had broken his leg helping assess a rogue. Times had changed and the trainee knew he was just getting older. But he simply didn't see how that changed anything.

His bright silver eyes glinted as he spoke. "I'm assuming you wish to join?" he meowed, slightly amused by how dutiful and urgent Radium's son had looked when he'd dashed past him. "It's nice to meet you. What is your name, if I may ask?" His light muscles rippled as he repositioned himself on the sandy ground, a lopsided grin taking up the majority of his face. He wasn't going to be so brash and rude this time. He had spent himself on Carnivalscare. Cos did not want to develop a bad reputation; and he just wasn't that kind of guy.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]

The Skeleton laughed, somewhat taken aback by his mentor's gleeful reply. However, he was glad that Hysteria approved. If he'd gotten reprimanded or looked down upon, it would have been embarrassing and guilt trip him forever. But then again, he had willingly tortured a proClanner as a young kitten without much mercy. Then again, he had been naive and unknowing. Now he tended to despise the dungeon. It was dark and dank and reeked of rot and mildew. It seemed to be an uncovered battlefield of dead, bad memories for them. It was a place he would rather not recall.

Even though it was a little unexpected to the leader's apprentice, he grinned broadly, happy to receive praise and not shame. "I tore his throat out." He wrinkled his nose, although he was still beaming. In retrospect, it had been rather exciting. Aside from it being slightly disgusting, of course. Adrenaline had coursed through his veins as the ScarClan trainees had rammed him up against the tree and snapped his tail, as well as twisted his paw. Thankfully Regulus had already been injured, or he was sure he would have died. They had been persistent. If the blue and white tom had not fallen, they may have not ceased to attack him. Cosentino shuddered with excitement, remembering the energizing experience.

"It was bloody and kind of gross, but now that I look back on it... well, it felt kind of," he shrugged, trying to think of the right word, "right." Yes, it had felt right. Everything in BoneClan seemed to be fine to him. Perhaps it was true; it had felt right to kill the tom that had ambushed him and nearly crippled him. Maybe it seemed he was taking things too far, but BoneClan was right. It had been perfect since the beginning. Solely fate had brought him to the Kiami-devoted clan... and it was perfection. He loved it-- the cats there, the rules. He finally felt like he belonged.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]

Although he may or may not have been included in Azalea's daily routine, Cosentino was feeling increasingly bored and decided to skip over to his friend of a pit bull puppy. As the silver-blue ticked tabby paraded over to her, he let an increasingly large smile appear on his face. "Hello, Azalea!" he greeted the female brightly, silver eyes glinting as he sat beside her and flicked his tail up in a good-natured manner. "How are you today?"

The Skeleton was feeling alright. Things were complicated, now that he was convinced he was growing up and becoming a different person. Truly, he missed Austere's flighty and carefree attitude. It seemed the she-cat had her mind on other things now that she too was maturing and changing. More than anything, he liked change and thought it was good. But things were off.

Curling his tail over his paws, the burly young tom blinked. It was hard to believe he was only nine moons old. Life seemed to have gone on longer than that.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]

Seeing as he had nothing to carry, the Skeleton rose from his rump and stretched out before silently following after Rose and Hysteria. Silence greeted them as they trekked around. It was an eerie kind of noise that truly had no sound at all. Usually Cosentino enjoyed tranquility and peace, although as he aged the tom began to realize that it was not all he had cracked it up to be. Commotion was an important aspect in every cat's life, and now he was learning to cherish it.

His bony shoulders cut through the air in smooth motions as they paraded on. He resisted the urge to purr with pleasure. It was all so precise today. The temperature was ideal for being out in the open, and they had already scented two pieces of prey. Of course, Cosentino was sure there were more out there. All of these delicious things seemed to be blurring at the edges and blending together.

Not saying a word, the muscular tom shuffled forward as his silver orbs flitted back and forth against the territory.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]

The large Skeleton nonchalantly blinked his steel tinted eyes as he reached Hazeleyes and Blackrain. He assumed it was just a friendly chat, although how could it be whilst WindClan scent was evident in the air? A brawny silver-blue ticked tabby slunk forward, furtively glancing at the proClanner as she stood around. Cosentino wished to know exactly what was going on, although it would be rude to just barge into the conversation and ask them what was happening. Pressing his lips together as he took full notice of Windpaw, Hysteria's apprentice nodded.

"Hello Hazeleyes," the tom greeted, dipping his head in full respects of the Omen. "Blackrain," he noted, somewhat less brightly. The snow leopard had turned down his efforts of being kind. Now that he was maturing, he realized that at times it was right to move on and pay less attention to those whom treated you like scum. Blackrain seemed to fit under than category.

Although he was sure the question had been asked before (as he had heard them speaking from a few tails away), Cosentino decided question the marbled tabby. "What are you doing here?" Whiskers twitching, he ran his tongue over his glinting teeth without much threat. Such things were remedial to him and helped him occupy himself, no matter how pointless they seemed.

"I'm sure you already know, but this is BoneClan territory." The burly male straightened up, looking more dutiful and ready to attack the WindClanner. Oh, how he loved helping out during assessments. It made him feel important and linked in to what was going on. Cos always seemed to know what was going around the place. His disappearance awhile back had been slightly shocking, although he assured himself he would not go toddling off in humiliation again. No, that was a new promise! And he never broke his promises.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]

    "Woah."

Cosentino was speechless as he entered the secluded grove. The Herb had clearly outdone herself! The decor was so intricate and ornate, and most of the cobwebs that had gathered in the plants and rocks seemed to have dissipated. "Radi, this is incredible!" The Skeleton's silver eyes were twinkling with admiration as he scanned the area once again, as if not able to believe his eyes. There were flowers above flowers, and a fire burned bright in the middle of the extravagant scenery. Fragrant scents reached his nose, and the tom let out a longing sigh.

He draped his tail over Austere protectively. It seemed like a collected and beautiful place. It would be a wonderful area for he and the torbie to bond. Somehow it pained Cosentino to think that he and the daughter of Hazeleyes and Hysteria were going further apart. No, he would not let it happen. They were meant for each other. Kiami had intended it to be like that. Inching a bit closer to her, he chuckled.

"I don't understand how you did it all without us noticing though," he remarked teasingly, gray eyes glowing as he further examined the enclosed grove. How pretty it was against BoneClan's desolate plains. Closing his optics and inhaling the fresh scent of ashes and flowers, the Skeleton let himself sigh.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]

He was sure that Hysteria had killed plenty of cats. This was BoneClan, after all. They were savage brutes when they wanted to be and valuable, ruthless assets when they felt the need. That's what made it so special, in his eyes. It was his dream to lead like Hysteria, to fight like Hazeleyes, to see the world like Radium and Creed did. Every cat in BoneClan had amazing qualities. Cosentino was just trying to figure out how he could be all of that. Thoughtfully tipping his head to the side, the Skeleton grinned.

"I can't wait, Hysteria," the silver-blue ticked tabby marveled. There was always something planned. It was certainly better than what Austere had to deal with: two mentors, both of which were never around. He felt bad for his gal, and promised to teach her everything he learned the very day he learned it. Now that she had one eye, the metallic tom had taken it upon himself to make sure she got her title of Bone the very same day he did, if not earlier.

"But I'm worried about Austere," he chimed in, pressing his lips together. He knew it was common knowledge that they both loved each other, but he decided to put it out there. "She... she's worried her Bone ceremony will be delayed because of her attack." Cosentino shuffled his paws on the floor with a sigh. "Do you... do you think she'll be able to receive her full status at the same time Sayrian, Rose, and I do?" He wasn't sure about the others-- it was just that they were training under Hysteria. "I've been teaching her everything I know."

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]

    :D I think that'd be cool! And yay! 8D

Radium is going to be kidnapped in the near future, by a group of cats who believe all cats of mixed blood from multiple clans are not pure. Maybe a search party would go out? Or some sort of interrogation would take place to accuse a cat of murder? She'll be back though, I promise<33

    Cos would go wild. ={D

And I just noticed I'm on his subbacount. xD

"Congratulations, you all!" Amani's disappearance had struck them all quite hard. He was sure that change would help with it, even if only a small bit. Cosentino missed the young ex-Herb as well, but sitting around and being mopey about it certainly wouldn't help BoneClan or himself. The metallic silver-blue ticked tabby stifled a relieved laugh, and settled for twitching whiskers and tail tips.

There were two types of change: good and bad. The older Skeleton saw it as a sort of spectrum. Radium's multiple pregnancies were bad, as well as Austere's blinding. Well, half-blinding, he reminded himself. The demotions were somewhat bittersweet-- they showed promise of new hierarchy, but also had a melancholy touch as those who were demoted left and disappeared. Good changes... what were good changes? There hadn't been many lately. Promotions were alright, as well as new recruits that seemed to be especially promising.

Growing up was somewhere in between the lines of them all. Cosentino had realized that it wasn't all he had thought it would be. He knew things would never be the same again, but somehow he took no mind. Kiami would take him where he needed to go, and that was all that concerned him. Everyone said he was growing up to be a fine BoneClanner, and so he would believe them. Smiling faintly, he nodded.

"Congratulations," he repeated, silver eyes warm as he draped his tail over his paws.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]

The Skeleton had just been strolling around, minding his own business and trying to sharpen up his hunting skills when he'd heard a crumbling noise and multiple wails.

Dashing over to the source of the noise, wary young Cosentino blinked his bright silver orbs. His ears were pricked and he looked alert, before staring down at the large chasm that had open up directly in front of him. Carefully peering down into the ravine, he ran his berry pink tongue over his teeth in a sweeping movement. Spotting a familiar figure, the silver-blue ticked tabby froze. "Koyarius?" he fretted, whiskers twitching in urgency as he pawed at the ground and tried to detect a divergent entrance to the open area.

"Are you alright?" The tom could hear his voice bouncing across the cavern's walks, magnified and echoed like something spectral and strangely paranormal. Suppressing a small shudder, he leaned in and dug his hind claws into the moist dirt.

There was going to the predicament of getting the Omen out and keeping her alive inside the dusty earth that seemed to forever be caving in. She would inhale too much dust, and surely suffocate. Trying to think of a solution, his silver eyes flicked down to the feline, locking on the top of her head with a cautious air.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]

"You look dooooown, kid," remarked a radiant tabby as he emerged from the shadows, slender figure swishing from side to side in a remedial manner as he approached the three gathered felines. "Hi, Preppy," the Skeleton remarked brightly, before turning to Faithsong. "Good morning, Faithsong." The tom dipped his head in a respectful manner, gray eyes bright and alert as he became even with the rest of them. The tom seemed to mix into the crowd, although there was always a defined sort of air around him; with his ever growing muscles and slightly un-groomed fur. It was a bit matted from his constant patrols and battles, but he was used to it. It made him look rough and tousled.

"I haven't seen you here before," he remarked, once again addressing Spiderpaw. The brawny male sat himself down in a brisk motion, before sweeping his tail over his paws. Cosentino licked at a paw pad before drawing it over his ear with a lazy yawn. "Who are you?" His steel colored optics glowed with curiosity as he eyed the cat that seemed to be his age.

There were so many new people in BoneClan that it was hard to keep track of the old. The only significant people to him were Austere, Hysteria, Hydra, Hazeleyes, Lucian, Koyarius, Creed, Faithsong, Mana, Preposterouspaw, Gingerpaw, Izabella, Cherrypaw, Radium... well, the list went on. However, that was not the point. Things were just so scattered nowadays that he tended to yearn for the days where Egotist and Liable were around.

"A mudslide?" Cosentino's nonexistent brow was furrowed as he approached Oblivion and the others, tail tip twitching as it was poised in the air. "When did'ja see this?" Cocking his head to the side, the young tom blinked his silver eyes in inquisition. His muscled flexed under his carefully groomed pelt as he questioned the caracal with obvious curiosity. How long would it take for it to cave in and close the tunnels up? Pressing his lips together, the Skeleton let out a sigh. What with Hydra gone, as well as many Omen beginning to fade away, he was worried.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]

Cosentino cast a sympathetic look towards Radium as he heard Lexlythor's call. Surprised were always his kind of thing, he had found. After all, who didn't like suspense? Well, it was a fair question-- but he certainly enjoyed it. Tail lashing as he approached the tuxedo-patterned feline, the Skeleton grinned. "Hey Lex," he meowed, disregarding the tom's former attempt at suicide. He seemed quite alright now, with the Herb at his side. Ears twitched, he sat down at draped his tail over his large paws.

The brawny feline cocked his head to the side in inquisition, nodding a greeting to Blackrain. "What's up here?" Hysteria's apprentice questioned, still quite melancholy about the fact that Hydra had been demoted. If Hysteria were to die (which Cosentino was quite sure and hoped he wouldn't), would Coffee take over? She was the Head Herb, after all.

The golden tabby that was his mentor had told him about the transition from Head Herb to Leader. Hysteria had told him that patience was key, and that everything had turned around eventually. That had gotten the silver-blue ticked tabby thinking, and suddenly a new ambition was fresh in his head. He wouldn't reveal it publicly, but perhaps leading like Hysteria wouldn't be so bad. It all seemed pretty amazing, and he had been encouraged by many. A small smile snaked across his maw at the very thought of it.

"A quest? A spar? A party? A competition? I'm up for it!" He licked at a paw and drew it over his ear, smirking in a good natured manner. This would surely be fun!

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]

Grinning widely at how the tom describe it, Cosentino nodded and licked at a paw before once again drawing it over his ear (a little quirk of his) and started towards the starting line. "Sounds good," he confirmed, shuffling his paws in the dirt as he got them warmed up. The young Skeleton's silver eyes glinted as he visualized himself crossing the finish line and receiving praise. That'd be an honor of sorts! Yes, it would indeed. Hysteria's apprentice began to sheath and unsheath his claws as he awaited the words that would trigger the start of the race.

He could clearly see the course in front of him. Some parts didn't look so bad, although there were sharp and thin turns that made him ponder. He was not as lithe as the others, no matter how fast he appeared. There was a downside to his muscular and brawny build. Somehow, no matter how hard he pushed himself, he could not seem to be as light and swift as the others. Sure, it was likely that he had a better chance at continuing than the others, but his body mass tended weigh him down.

Muscles rippling under his radiant silver pelt as he stretched, he practiced the exact motions he would make when the dash started. The Skeleton would shoot forwards, and push himself using his hind legs faster than he ever had in his nine-moon-old life. Rocking back and forth on his large paws, he regained his composure and tried to remember the movements he would be sure to follow through with.

Out of the camp and back in, he reminded himself, ears twitching with subtle eagerness.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]

"I'm so sorry, bro," sympathized the Skeleton as he shuffled towards the group of felines. He was glad Sayrian was making an appearance again, but he'd known of the liking between Amani and the dark son of Hazeleyes and Hysteria. Whenever he and Sayrian had talked, he'd always smelled of herbs and, quite simply, Amani. Cosentino couldn't even imagine what it would be like to lose someone so close to him, like Austere. Suddenly feeling quite protective of the torbie, he scooted towards her and draped his tail around her.

It may have seemed ridiculous, but he had lost too many loved ones in his life. All of his siblings were gone (although he was unaware that he had any) and Egotist was dead. He was certainly not going to risk Austere's life, especially after she had been badly wounded and partially blinded. From that day one he promised to protect her and put her above himself. Licking her cheek, regardless to whether or not she was embarrassed, the silver-blue ticked tabby sighed.

When they became Bones, all of these concealed feelings would dissipate and they'd be able to love each other freely. There would be no pretending-- just pure passion and promise. He hoped Austere would be granted the permissions of a full-fledged Bone along with him, despite her lost eye. Switching his gaze back to Sayrian, Cosentino let out a sigh.

"I know how you feel," he murmured, thinking of Egotist. Even if they had not been lovers, they had shared a close bond. The radiant tabby felt slightly guilty for letting Austere fill the gap in his heart. Blinking his silver eyes, the tom's gaze switched from feline to feline.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]

"I'm always here, Austy," he chided with a broad grin, padding up to his gal with a starry gaze and a distant smile. The daughter of Hysteria and Hazeleyes had always made his heart soar and his mood brighten, even when he wasn't feeling his best. Jokingly flicking his tail against her marred flank, the equally scarred tom smiled and nuzzled her shoulder before licking her muzzle. He had promised her training on absolutely everything he had learned, and so he assumed that was what she was here for.

He would do anything for her, if it meant earning her the title of a Bone the same day he did. It was only reasonable-- they were both the same age and had received their ceremonies at the same time. If she didn't receive her full status, he would have some reasoning to do with Hysteria. Austere's two mentors had disappeared, after all. He hadn't seen Hydra or Namine in ages. It seemed like everyone was either dying or falling into oblivion.

"So, d'you wanna train?" asked the older Skeleton, tail lashing. Today he turned ten moons, and although nobody exactly celebrated birthdays of sorts, he knew the average age to become a Bone was just around the corner-- at twelve moons. After all, Hysteria had told him that he only had a few more moons of training left. He was eager to see the number of days go down, until the day he became a Bone himself.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]

Nudging Sayrian, whom he had a 'bromance' of sorts with, the Skeleton grinned. "Hey, bro," he meowed, tail lashing in the air with even motions as he eyed the son of Hysteria and Hazeleyes. Cosentino knew not to be sympathetic with the prince, for his loss of the Herb, Amani, must have hit him hard. Deciding not to mention his clear empathy for the young male, the silver-blue ticked tabby remained silent if he eyed Kexdrop, more or less sizing her up.

"If Gingerpaw doesn't return soon, I can get Hazeleyes or Lionstrike or sum'n," offered Hysteria's apprentice, gaze skimming over the gathered felines. Asking confirmation of Preposterouspaw, Sayrian, Melodypaw, and Azalea, he shuffled his large paws on the ground. Dust rose up as his feet moved smoothly against the ground, and he shrugged.

"I know where they are." Their scents were defined and clear to them as the blew towards him, and he emitted a low hum.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]

Limping forward, Cosentino winced as his bleeding paw collided with the ground. The silver-blue ticked tabby had decided to run over some rock shards just to see how high his stamina really was. He knew it had been a stupid thing to do, but he wanted to know just what his capacity was. Well, he had run back and forth across the shattered mass for what seemed like hours before he had collapsed of blood loss. He had put off on visiting the Herbs' Den for quite awhile now, but the Skeleton knew it was beginning to become infected to he had decided to pay a visit to Radium and her apprentices.

Blinking his bright silver eyes as he tried to clear his muddled mind of the pain in his paw, the adolescent male hobbled into the area and scented the air. The first thing that hit him was the unfamiliar scent. Something was there-- and he knew it was stale, but foreign. Narrowing his gray orbs into slits, he stalked forward on thee legs. "Radium?" he called out in a quiet voice, unsheathing his claws just in case something was there.

But the jet black female wasn't, and neither was anyone else. "Radium?" he called again, subtle panic seeping into his voice as he turned on his heels. "Radium!" Whiskers twitching as he stopped calling for the Herb, Cosentino paused before protruding out into the open of the camp's main room.

"Radium is missing!" he announced, a sense of urgency all around him. "She isn't in the herb den, and I scented something else... Has anyone seen her today?" The apprentice knew something was amiss. It was clear in the aura surrounding them.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px]

    Get ready.

As Lexlythor carefully uttered these words, Cosentino prepared himself for the take-off by sheathing his claws. The silver-blue ticked tabby bent his hind legs, rocking back and forth on his large paws. His heart beat steadily inside of his chest, and he was read to go. Anticipation began to settle in within him, and the muscular Skeleton narrowed his eyes into slits and he visualized himself speeding off into the curving race track. He had walked these paths many times before. There couldn't be much difference in running it.

    Get set.

Blinking, the trainee's adrenaline began to make its way through his veins, and he took a large breath as he waited for the word that would trigger the start of the race. His heartbeats began to quicken and he set himself into a small arc that would help him launch forward when the time came. It seemed like hours (although it was only seconds) but finally it was time for the race to began, and Cosentino was joyous.

    Go!

Dashing off, the tom let his eyes go back to their full formation as he ran. His scars had finally closed up and he could run. His bones had healed, and he was in a clear state of mind. Running down a long trail, Hysteria's apprentice did not cease to keep running. He wanted to win, even if he was against Blackrain, who was larger than him despite their age difference. Despite the fact that Lexlythor, whom had organized the race was also participating. He wouldn't mind if Wetkit won, however. She was kind and bubbly, as well as sweet. But he wouldn't let his mind off on other things quite yet. He had to pay attention to the race.
