Cloverpaw jumped on his paws and quickly unsheathed his claw.Not only was he ignorant but he was a show-off "Ha!I don't need to go with other apprentices to catch food!I am going to a warrior any day now!I just know it....but yeah I'll come"he said starting off proud and vain but finishing very stupidly.

"Fine!I'll..go alone....but I am gonna laugh when I come home dragging in a giant eagle!Yeah thats right!An eagle!"Cloverpaw huffed determined.He stared at the camp exit and slowly started walking towards it "I'm going now....don't try and stop me."he said even thought Fernpaw already said she wouldn't stop him.

"Yeah but not because I need you just because I want to show you I can catch an eagle..."Cloverpaw clarified wanting to keep his dignity although they both knew that he was a little frightened to go alone.

Cloverpaw nodded and he ran out of camp.Once he was out of camp he couldn't help but look around.He always found the trees,grass,leaves,and even dirt quite beautiful.The redish brown soil reminded him of his father.

Cloverpaw followed and crouched as best he could but he was rather large for an apprentice not to metion his brite white coat and he stuck out very well

This was his chance!Cloverpaw reared back on his hind legs and jumped at the eagle.He had grabbed the eagle's tail and brought it to the ground.The eagle screeched and attempted to pick up Cloverpaw and fly off.The eagle's talons punchured his side and he yowled violently trying to get away."Fernpaw!"Cloverpaw yelled.

Cloverpaw fell down to the ground as the eagle landed on top of him.He pushed the eagle off of him and groaned.The cuts on his side were bright red and stood out like a rainbow colored rabbit with wings agaist his white fur.

"Fernpaw?Are you okay?"Cloudpaw mewed raceing over to her while making hissing noise.He wasn't hissing at her;it was his reaction to the searing pain that went through his side as he ran.He skidded to a hault.

Cloverpaw didn't wnt the pain he felt to show.He clenched his teeth and put .on a brave face.All that mattered now was that Fernpaw was ok."Fernpaw?"he mew worryingly poking at her with his nose."A-are you okay?"

Cloverpaw didn't know how to answer.He was so stunned from the events that happened so fast.He didn't know whether to tell the truth and risk getting in trouble or lie.He sat there staring back at the two.

Cloverpaw mewed worriedly "Fernpaw!"He pushed the branche off of her head with his front paws."Fernpaw you're hurt!Really badly!"he cried in distress.It was all his fault.If Cloverpaw hadn't boasted as he did they would not be in the whole mess.He just wanted to go home right now and for Fernpaw to be okay.

"ITwasme.Iadmitit!IbroughtheroutheretohelpmecatchaneaglebutaneagleattackedmesoFernpaw brokeabranhonitssculltosaveme"Cloverpaw said in one breath without stopping.

Cloverpaw bowed his head in empathy and sympathy.His side stung like a hive of wasps but he knew that Fernpaw was hurting more now."How bad does it hurt..."Cloverpaw mewed quitely to Fernpaw.

"Well you were braver...you saved me"Cloverpaw said and smiled. The normally arrogent apprentice was trying to be humble and sweet.

Firelight had only recently joined the camp and there was already a newcomer?He was surprise.He padded up to the cat to greet her.

"But that also meant you left your clan for a soft kittypet life."Firelight said judgingly.You could hear a slight growl under the usually calm cat's voice.

Firelight glares at Deem for his arrogance but he was right so he said nothing.

Firelight's tail tapped against the.ground showing light frustration."So why are you here?"he Mitzy.

"That my young friend is a kittypet claiming to be a former warrior.I do understand that I too was an outsider for a while but I do not trust cats not belonging to clans.I left my clan for personal reasons.Most outsider cats are exiled,unloyal,kittypets,or former kittypets that "were capture" by slow paced Two-legs..."Firelight whispered to the apprentice.He did not trust Mitzy though it was obvious she was not hostile.He was even more frustrated at Deem right now to be honest.
