Zephyra's lips stretched in a real smile, this one not forced. "I'd be happy to take Mr. Teddy." At Gunnar's question, her grin wilted, lips uncurling. "Well, I was walking, some girls pushed me, I fell down, and didn't get back up." She glanced at the ground, green eyes narrowed to dam back tears.
Ky lips twisted into a frown. "Why not? You're a pretty girl, you could get a boy in a flash." He absentmindedly toyed with his hair, running a hand through it.
"Hey Teo! Want a smooch?" Teo ignored them, blonde hair bouncing on her back with each forceful step she took. "I'm gonna come get you! Gimme a kiss, I'll leave you alone!" She felt bile rise in her throat at the thought. "I'm not kissing a d*ckhead!" she called over her shoulder. A chorus of "Ooohhh"s were emitted from the group at her heels. A blonde-haired boy laid a hand on her shoulder, spinning her around to face him. Blue gaze glinting, he leaned in, a corner of his mouth hooking upwards in a smirk.
"Come on Teo baby, you know you want me." Teo leaned away, heart hammering against her chest. "Leave me alone Josh." She tried to twist out of his grasp, but his hands were like iron clamps on her shoulder blades. "Oh baby. You don't know what's good for you. I want a kiss. Or I'm gonna make you. We can have a little fun, if you want." Josh's voice was hard, and his fingers traveled to the collar of Teo's shirt, beginning to slide in.
"No, Josh, please! Leave me alone!" Teo kicked him in the shins, but she only recieved a honeyed smile, his lips stretched in victory. No one that she could see was on school grounds, and it was late enough that all the teachers had gone home already. She was alone.
Ky arched an eyebrow, blue eyes curious. "Why not? Doesn't everyone want a little love?" His hand fell to his side, sliding into a pocket.
Teo stared back at the boy with widened eyes, not speaking. "Just havin' a little fun with my girl," Josh replied, his hand still dipped in her shirt. She kicked him again, this time more forcefully. "Ow! What the h*ll, b*tch?" He raised his hand, slapping her across the face. Hard. Teo took a sharp intake of breath, sinking to the floor.
"Oh, uh, yeah. Yeah, I do go there." She hesitated before speaking, lips parted. "You haven't heard of me yet? Zephyra? The 'ghost girl'? The 'creep'? The one who came back from the dead?" Zephyra's words were forceful, unnaturally loud with anger. But her anger wasn't directed at him; it was directed at everyone at school, at everyone who didn't care.
Tobi kicked at the pavement as he walked, toes scuffing the white-washed sidewalk. He ran a hand through his dark blonde hair, mussing it absentmindedly. His finger traveled to his side, slipping into his pocket and emerging with a green stone. He turned it in his palms, enjoying the smooth, cool texture of the rock. Tobi paused at a noise, turning off into a yard to follow the sound of squeaking springs; rather like a trampoline.
The fight drained out of her, and her shoulders slumped. "No, Gunnar. You don't understand. Nobody does." Zephyra glanced away, wanting to be anywhere else than where she was.
Tobi slid into the backyard where the noise was coming from. He slid to the ground on sight of Lexi, watching her curiously. His blue gaze flicked across her face, exmining her interestedly.
ooc ; I'm gonna add another character. o.o
Violet lay still on the grass, staring into the sky. She watched the variety of clouds with mild boredom, searching for shapes. She tucked a strand of naturally red hair behind her ear, dropping her arm to the ground. White clusters of clouds drifted above, and she noticed one in the shape of a heart.
Zephyra turned to leave, hesitated, and spun around. "Wait, Gunnar!" she called, running after him. She slid on a patch of ice, stumbling before falling to the snow, grimacing.
ooc ; I'm on mobile right now, sorry for the cruddy post. o.o
Josh raised his chin, swallowing. "Fine, fine. Sorry," he muttered. Teo slid aside, not wanting to be caught up in the middle of this. She pressed a hand to her cheek where he had slapped her, biting her lip.
Tobi felt a smile creep up his lips. He reached out to take her hand, shaking it. "Nah, I don't have a mom. She died a while back." His grin wilted for a quick second, then he caught himelf, brightening again. "I'm Tobi."
Violet stood, brushing clumps of dirt and grass off of her pants. Her hair hungs in waves around her face, framing it perfectly. Her round blue eyes scanned the row of houses, wishing there was someone she could talk to, instead of being nearly bored out of her mind.
Arwyn adjusted the microphone, pressing her mouth close to it. "Hey guys! So, I'm Arwyn, and this is my first performance here at Salt. I decided I'll be taking requests on what I should sing. Does anyone have an idea?" She knew her words were generic, and slightly cheesy, even to her own ears, but that was really all she had. Something quick and short.
Her guitar was positioned in her lap, laying across her jeans as she waited for demands on songs. She used to play at a different place, the local cafe, but they had gone out of business. It had been troublesome to find a new place to perform at, and she had been lucky to get a position at one of the more popular restaurants in Portland, Salt.
Arwyn's blue gaze flicked across the crowd, hoping for a raised hand or a shout-out. She tucked a strand of blonde hair behind her ear, biting the inside of her cheek. Her dark eyelashes skimmed her skin as she blinked, and strummed a soft tune on her guitar nervously.
"Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine," Teo said hurriedly, hand still pressed to her pale cheek.
ooc ;; I'm on mobile, sorry for the crappy post. ».»
Tobi's shoulders rose and fell in a shrug. "Oh, I heard your trampoline. Just came to figure out what the noise was." He didn't mention that he had stayed because of her.
A rush of air escaped Violet's lips in a sigh. She tilted her head back to stare at the tops of the trees, wondering what the view would be like up there. She decided to find out. The girl pulled herself onto a lower brach, digging her toes into the trunk.
