Ten, nine
Dirk Strider sits poised in a tree, waiting for his moment to jump down and chase this precious human again. His estimate is that in ten seconds he'll have the opportunity to jump down just in front of Jake.
Seven, six
He counts down in his head. This entire thing is just a game to him after all, and those are no fun unless you play by the rules. Hunters are so pathetic. He finds it almost sad how weak and vulnerable a human is compared to a demon such as him, so why try to hunt them? Especially when it's one petty human against a demon with the strength of five men and the speed of a cheetah. The time is almost up.
Three, two
One more second and he can jump down right in front of Jake's face with no preferable outcome, so long as he doesn't kill his little plaything anything would be fine with him. Technically, he wants to kill him, but the thing is, he's having way too much fun to do it now and he wants it to be challenging when this happens, so he figures why not have a little fun with your food if it's still got the strength to run away from you.

Dirk watches Jake from above, amused by all his silly little precautionary actions like looking around him. Well the little human forgot to look up, didn't he? Hah. Dirk drops down from his branch, landing perfectly on his feet with almost catlike reflexes when it comes to the fall. "You called, English?" He coos, a large smirk plastered onto his face. "Why have you come to play again, when you know the only outcome for you is defeat."

[this is a really stupid question but the writing outside of the spoilers at the top of the post that's the starter right? sorry, i'm running off of 2.5 hours in the past 24]

"How about black? Or orange. I quite like orange. Besides, what on earth do you think a silver bullet will do to me. Do I look like a werewolf to you, English? Or are your silly hunter databases THAT outdated. I'm pretty sure it's both, but I can assure you you're wrong either way."

[cries I cant come up with good ideas with no sleep]
The sound of shuffling feet and conversations around him was buzzing. Somehow, the noise around him wasn't enough to prevent the sound of his boots falling against the pavement from reaching his ears. He wasn't entire sure where the girl or his dreams was, but Gilbert Beilschmidt was damn sure he was going to find her. The albino had a bouquet of white flowers in his hands and he had worn his formal uniform and everything! There was no way Elizaveta would turn him down this time. After he'd been running for what felt like forever, he slowed to a walk because he'd seen a woman resembling who he was looking for.
"Hungary!" He calls, waving one arm in the air. "Come over here!"

I'm fine with either really on both questions, whichever you'd prefer. I'm pretty impartial about it. Would you want Karkat to be albino if it's humanstuck?

Dirk took off after him at inhuman speed. It was almost as if his feet weren't touching the ground. They were, once in a while. But who needs the floor when you can run at the speed of sound? This smirk never left his face. The whole thing was merely a game to him, obviously.

Dirk had left cal in the kitchen when he went up to the roof to dump a bag of cut up useless fabric off of the roof and watch it flutter down and hit people's heads below. He never even noticed that Dave was home until he came back inside and noticed the usual * that happened when the kid came home. Such as the swords in the fridge being disturbed and his shoes by the door the door being left open. This meant it was time to go up to his room and * with the lil' man for a while.
[[sorry if this isn't the best, i'm running off of 2.5 hours of sleep]

Gilbert hurries over to stand next to her and offer her the flowers he'd brought. "For the lovely lady." Step one, use flattery. "I couldn't help but notice how nice you look today, it matches the weather." He pauses for a second after speaking. The weather?! Really?! How much of a dumkopf can you even become! Stick to what you rehearsed in front of the mirror! He yells at himself in his head, trying to show no sign of that on his face or actions.

Dirk, to say the least, was confused for the first few weaves of his pattern. Until he realized it was a pattern, and did his best to memorize it. He took to the trees so that he could get a better view of the human as he ran and so that he would know what direction to go in. It was like he totally disappeared and stopped chasing him but nooo. Never. A demon doesn't give up once he decides he wants something. And he wanted to keep Jake as his own personal trophy.
-
"I don't need a favor. All I need is one quarter and then a bit of your time later tonight." Ah yes. The nonchalant ways of a Beilschmidt when it comes to asking people on dates. Who even knows why he needs the twenty five cents, but he's not even going to bring up why.
-
Dirk went the wrong way when Jake switched his pattern up and continued going even when the hunter hid in the log. He went back to where he was pretty sure the hunters were staying and lurked outside of their camp in the trees.

Karkat Vantas was starting school that same day at the same building as John was. The only difference was, he was adamantly refusing to go at all. He wouldn't get out of bed, then wouldn't get dressed, and therefore made his older brother Kankri late for school too because Kankri was the one who had to drive him. Karkat was not in the mood for any kind of lecture whatsoever. It was bad enough he would have to go to school and get picked on yet again for being the "ultimate white boy" and "perfect Russian camouflage" and really any other kind of name in the book you could use for an albino kid in school.
He was sick of it. Wanted nothing to do with it. But of course their good for nothing pastor dad wouldn't do jack shit about homeschooling him. Everything that day sucked ass and there was nothing that could happen that could convince him otherwise. As he was dropped off at school, he slammed the door without saying goodbye to his brother and then ran up to the building to get his schedule and find a seat before school started and he would have to actually deal with real live people again.
-
Dirk perched outside of the camp where he would be able to hear exactly what people were saying but they couldn't see him.
-
Karkat did notice John's waving, but he was not in the mood for socializing at that moment. He never really was, actually. Karkat was known for having a pretty.. uh.. colorful vocabulary. He and his friends had this whole long table they sat at in the cafeteria because there was literally twelve people, sometimes fifteen people sitting at that table for lunch. Karkat took a while to find his new class. He wasn't familiar with this floor, but as he was looking at door numbers, he noticed the other kid again and chuckled at how lost he looked.
"Where the hell are you going? Classes are down this way." Karkat turned and walked down towards the other end of the hallway where his class was supposed to be. He hoped nobody else was in there yet so he could get a good seat.
