The queen smiled graciously. "We're glad to have you with us."
"What have you two discussed so far?" The king asked.

"I think that's a good idea," the king said. The queen simply smiled.
Erica bit her lip. She wanted to break the subject of her working on combat, but she wasn't sure how. "Prince Alex has an interest in military strategy, Father," she tried.

There was a tense silence. "You propose that my daughter learn to fight," the king restated.
"I wouldn't mind it, Father," Erica said, barely holding up her calm.

OOC: I'd like to do this plot with you! Would you like a character form?

The king glanced at the queen. Maintaining her serene smile, she spoke. "I don't think that's necessary, Prince Alex," she said. "Our guards are more than competent."

OOC: Should we just start, then? Ideas for a setting?

The queen's stare on Alex grew colder. "We'll consider it."
Erica glanced at the prince apologetically.
"On a different subject," the king began, "I'd like to hear about things in Tiekon. Tell us about your kingdom."

The king nodded. "It sounds like you have much of this under control. When was the rebellion in your lifetime?"

OOC: So, medieval-ish time period? Or would you prefer it to be more modern?

"What exactly did the rebels do?" Erica interjected. "Ours tend to be rather aggressive, but not too destructive..." she paused. "Are yours more destructive?"

"It sounds like you're quite prepared," the queen said, her face returning to its normal serenity. "What have you two decided in terms of an alliance?"

The king glanced at his daughter. "But it's going well so far, I presume?"
She nodded. "Yes, Father."

The queen straightened almost imperceptibly. Before anyone could respond, several servants marched in carrying platters of food. There was more than necessary; meat, vegetables, fruit, bread, and even desserts filled the shining plates.

Detailed Description; alek is a very strong man. he is almost ALWAYS out in the yard, training his strength, his senses, his speed or any other combat-based reflex. if he's not outside, then he's inside, working on plans for new fights and preparing to run the kingdom. he will always try to avoid social interactions whenever possible, especially when asking for help, as he feels he is being pitied.

(Aaand re-reading the thread, I just realized I've been calling Alek the wrong name this whole time. Sorry about that!)

Setting: Larinian royal family and Alek are eating lunch and discussing current events and negotiations. Alek previously suggested Erica learn to protect herself, which the king and especially the queen didn't seem to like. They're just eating right now.

The queen straightened almost imperceptibly. Before anyone could respond, several servants marched in carrying platters of food. There was more than necessary; meat, vegetables, fruit, bread, and even desserts filled the shining plates.

alek eyed the food and blinked. he showed no emotion on the surface, but he was actually very surprised with the mass amounts of food that had come from the kitchen. he rarely ate dinner with his family, and so he was no used to seeing so much food on a table at once.

Erica ate slowly. The corset made it difficult to eat much anyway. "Father," she began after swallowing a few bites, "Do you have any preference for the specific terms of the alliance?"
The king looked up from his plate. "I think that's your decision, Erica." He paused a moment to consider. "However, I do want to review the contract before you agree to it."

Erica noticed Alek had stopped eating. She had just gotten up the nerve to ask if something was wrong when there was the sound of shouting from outside the room. Before anyone could get up, the door slammed open and three guards ran in.
"It's the rebels," one explained. "They're inside the castle."
"We'll escort you to the safe room," another added.

"The front hall, sir," a guard replied. "But we have it under control."
Erica hoped Alek wasn't doing what she thought he was doing.

Hello, WarriorCatsRPG community. I'm on spring break, cooped up in the house, and bored. So who would like to do a plot? Anyone have ideas?
I'm a girl, by the way, and I prefer to play girls. But I don't really care what gender you make your charrie.

A little startled, the guard looked toward the king, who stepped in. "Prince Alek," he began. "I cannot allow you to put yourself in danger. You are a guest in this kingdom. Our guards are trained to deal with situations like this."
