I would like to incorporate them eventually.

Well, we are on the little banner thingy at the top of the page. Also, I invited this guy to this.
Anyway, I'm seriously considering bringing Cole MacGrath into this.

This is not a normal RP.
It does not take place in a normal RP world.
It takes place here.
Inside the man-made abyss called the Internet.
And the main character is you.
Not some character you made up. You.You saw this thread like any other. It was and is just a thread. For now. You read through this, the intro, calculating whether to join, perhaps reading the application skeleton too. Maybe if you're a through sort of person you read the rules, too. You made your decision whether or not to join. Most who see this won't. You are one who did.
You copy-pasted the app, read through my own, checked how long yours should be, and skimmed through the rules impatiently to check what the password is. You saw that this was an avatar/username/profilepic RP, so you wrote the app to fit your own, or maybe even changed yours. You reread it for spelling errors and typed up that strange password.
Then you made the biggest mistake of your life.
You clicked 'Post message'.
The computer seemed to distort fuzzily, but at first you thought it was just your imagination. The glowing screen twisted slightly, seemed to change in ways you couldn't quite put your finger on, like those paradox dice. Suddenly, it shone white, and you tumbled through a widening portal, into a world of whizzing data. The very soul of your computer. All your files, all your apps, even your wallpaper image, swirled around you as you fell through pitch blackness. Soon more started to appear, more data and code. More. You realize as you fall that these are the files of every single internet-capable computer in the world, spinning in a giant hurricane of light in a world of darkness. You wonder why you aren't screaming. Perhaps you are. This is probably the most terrifying experience you'e ever had, because it looks, and feels, and sounds so real. A speck of shining white light blinks to life below you as you fall, brighter than all the rest. You fall one more fateful second thrugh the abyss, then into the portal.
You open your eyes-if you still have them-groggily. You feel different. You look around at this new location, then at yourself.
You are your avatar.
Rules:
A) Typing in third or first person is fine.
B) Respect other players, and no qwikilling, gmodding or powerplaying. Metagaming to a point is okay. You and the other avatar characters are all perfectly aware of being sucked out of your home worlds and into the multiverse, so we are allowed to acknowledge that.
C) If you have something small that's off-topic to say on the IC thread, put it in {this}, ((this)) or <<this>> or something. But most of the off-topic will be posted here.
D) Your character knows everything you know, and again, is you. But I'm not under any circumstances going to ask for personal details.
E) Swearing is fine, violence is fine, just nothing R-rated.
F) The password is Amitermes Meridionalis (Told you it was weird. Please spell it right, and it is case sensitive. This lets me know you read the rules.)
G) Have fun!
FAQ:
Q: My avatar doesn't work for this.
A: Use your profilepic, or even your signature. Your username can be helpful too. If none of those works, then just insert a pic and we'll pretend it's your avvie. K?Q: Where does this take place? You didn't explain much...
A: This is a multiverse RP. It will take place in many worlds and placesQ: I don't want to be taken into a strange place in a strange form!
A: Haha, in case you feel creeped out now, no, this won't actually suck you into an RPing world. You will just RP as if it had.Q: My question isn't on here.
A: Put it on the 00C thread, I'll probably update this with it.Q: Can we have multiple characters?
A: Yes, but each character must have a different username.Application—

As far as plot goes, our objective is to find the Crucible of Worlds. This is an artifact that was recently created by scientists that was meant to help them access and explore extraplanar worlds. But upon its creation it could not be contained propery, and then there was a terrible reaction.
It disappeared. The scientists thought it had simply vanished, or had gone to another plane of existence. In part they were correct. The Crucible of Worlds could not be contained in the airy space of reality, so it was sent through cyberspace, a hidden world that humankind unknowingly created ever since the internet was invented.
Soon enough, the artifact miraculously found its way to AntarticTermit's account. At that time, he decided to create a new rp, which was exactly like this one, but he had no idea that it really would suck innocent people out of their worlds into cyberspace. And through this process, the Crucible had been shattered. Each of its pieces were scattered among the realms of cyberspace.
Once a person touches a piece of the artifact, they will see within it a vision of reality, a reflection of the world of its origin. But those that were sucked into the rp have a special connection with the object since they were there when it had been shattered. When one of those participants comes into contact with a piece of the artifact, a portal will be opened, a fabric torn between cyber realms. That will lead to the realm where the next artifact piece is. We will be hopping realm to realm in search of the pieces, and once we make the Crucible of Worlds whole again… well you will see what happens then. I don't want to spoil too much of our plot.

Character nickname: Cole MacGrath
Gender: Male
Appearance:

Personality: Cole is a man of few words. He hardly ever speaks, and when he does, what is said is usually worth listening to. He tries to limit his profanity, but sometimes, when he's really stressed or angry, a few slip through. He absolutely hates harming the innocent in any way, and protects them fiercely. He has no problems with killing to protect the greater good.
Skills: Before being sucked into the internet, he didn't really have any notable skills, aside from gaming and being good at academic work.
Master free-runner. There's very little he can't climb or run across.
Extremely good with directions. He's never gotten lost in his life.He can survive falling, no matter what the height is. Even if it's from hundreds of feet in the air, he can survive it. The game makes it very clear that this is, in fact, one of his many powers.
Induction Grind: If he jumps onto a wire or something of that nature that's charged with electricity, he'll grind along it at high speeds. He also absorbs power from it as he does so.
Energy absorption: He can absorb electricity from anything just by willing it to happen if he's within five feet of it. This includes the neuroelectric energy that powers the human body. This heals his injuries and gives him more energy to use.
Lightning bolt: Cole can shoot a bolt of lightning from the palm of his hand.
Megawatt Hammer: Cole produces a self-propelled packet of electricity from his hand. If he zaps an enemy with a lightning bolt, the packet will home in on the zapped enemy. When it hits something, it explodes like a rocket. This is basically a rocket made of pure electrical energy.
Shock Grenade: Cole throws a packet of electricity that explodes a few seconds after hitting the ground. If an enemy is weak enough, it's restrained by hardened electrical energy located on each limb, completely restricting movement.
Shock Restraints: If an enemy is injured too much to be considered ambulatory, Cole can restrain them the same way the Shock Grenade does to weakened enemies.
Pulse Heal: Should an innocent be injured, Cole can simulated a defibrillator by forcing a large electrical pulse into the civilian's body. This heals all physical wounds, but diseases and mental illnesses are not affected.
Immunity to all electricity-based attacks and injuries: Cole is unaffected by any negative effects based on electricity. He is a living battery/conductor, and electricity flows through him as though he were made of metal. Even being struck by lightning would only make him more powerful for a short time.
Static Thrusters: By emitting static electricity from his palms, Cole can glide for a short time.
Bioleech: A power that Cole despises, and hates using. This is what allows him to suck the neuroelectric energy from a living thing, healing him and giving him energy.
Overload Burst: If Cole charges the lightning bolt, it can flow through conductive surfaces and shock any enemies within the conduction radius, which is about five feet.
Shockwave: Cole can release a wave of static electricity from his hands. Enemies caught in the blast float for a few seconds, disabling them.
Thunder Drop: Whilst falling, Cole can release energy and, when he hits the ground, cause an explosion of electrical energy.
Electrically enhanced melee: Cole's melee abilities are enhanced with electricity, giving his punches and kicks a bit more damage than they normally would.
Precision: Cole's vision zooms and time seems to slow for him. His lightning bolt becomes thinner, and can shoot through small spaces easily. This takes up a huge amount of energy, however.Other: With all these powers, come some pretty hefty disadvantages. This guy is pure damage. He can't really take much of a beating other than fall damage. He can't sit in cars without them exploding. He can't set foot into water without causing serious harm to himself (water and electricity don't mix too well; what hurts him is the superfast drain of electricity from his body, not the shock itself). In areas without power or some sort of electrical charge, he experiences discomfort based on the amount of electricity in the air. The discomfort is inversely proportional to the amount of electrical energy in the air. If absolutely no electricity is in the air, he can barely move, and his head feels as though it's been put in a vise. The same thing happens if he runs out of internal energy, though, if he's in a charged area, the discomfort is lessened. But without electricity in the air or an internal charge, he'll be pretty useless, and would only be able to access the powers that don't consume internal energy. These would be lightning bolt, pulse heal, bioleech, energy absorption, induction grind, shock restraints, electrical melee, and static thrusters. His body literally depends on high voltage and amperage electricity to function properly.

I should know. I play them. Maybe a bit more than is healthy. XD
-
You may also enjoy that RP, Phantom.
-
[sub]omg i love just dance 4
it's like
my favorite video game like everMy favorite game ever? Well, I have to say two are tied for that honor. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.
-
Accepted. I should also mention that each crucible piece will allow you to add a single ability to your character.
-
Accepted, and I have to know for sure that you read the rules.
-
Got another RP for you guys to join. It's in my signature. To get to it, click "Multiverse: You are the Character". The name pretty much says it all.
-
I'm still on my Nexus, so I cannot, sadly.
-
Oh, and morning guys.
-
Besides, even if I did have access to a computer, I'd not play at the moment. I got a new game set in the EVE Online universe called Dust 514, just got released into beta less than a week ago. You play as infantry in the military of some player's army (the player being an EVE player), as they wage war across the galaxy. The game supposedly evolves based on what happens in EVE Online. I can't wait to try it!

Cole could not hear the conversation that took place over the phone, but, judging from the girl's reaction, it could not have been too kind to her. Cole thought she might have been called a freak, and he did know what that was right. Just to make sure he was right, he stood up and walked over to Alice. "What did they say?"
-
Wait. Has Discorded gotten a CS approved?
-
Oh, I guess you have. Well, as far as I know, Trouble's wandering around aimlessly in some stone corridors, and Maddox and Medic are somewhere with a War Lord called the Guard. Also, my character, the Wanderer, and his TARDIS, Lori, popped in near the Guard. That's all I know.
-
I can't see it. Is it ponies again???
-
Why all the ponies? I don't get it!
-
Okay, that's just, I don't know. Doctor Whooves was pushing it, but that's just, no.
-
Discorded, one thing you should know about me is that I don't like My Little Pony.
