Hawkfire was sunbathing in the middle of camp, letting the sunlight warm his fur. He was an Abbysinian, with ruddy colored fur and golden eyes. He smiled. He loved sunbathing.

"I'm Hawkfire." he said, lifting his head and opening his eyes. He pulled himself to his paws, stretching. Laying out in the sun had made him drowzy.
-
Hawkfire jumped to his paws, deciding to go hunting. "Anyone want to come hunting with me?" He asked, looking around the camp.
-
Hawkfire scanned the undergrowth by the bushes of the school. He had ruddy colored fur with golden eyes. He found a vole under some bushes, and pounced. He killed it swiftly, then devoured it in three hungry bites.
-
"I'm just asking if anybody will go hunting with me." Hawkfire meowed, wondering why Snowflight was so annoyed.
-
Riversplash looked around, hunting for fish. His eyes scanned the riverbed, his ears ever intently listening.
-
"Woah, what's with all the mudslinging?" Riversplash laughed, and even his eyes seemed to laugh with him. He had ruddy colored fur with deep golden eyes, and he was watching the scene, leaving the river and padding over. "Oh hey there." he said, noticing the she-cat. "Sorry about ol' pricklepaws over there. What's your name?"
-
"I copied what?" he asked, looking at Lightningstrike. "There's nothing wrong with asking to go hunting." he said matter-of-factly. He wasn't scared of her or her brother, even if Lightningstrike ran and hid behind her brother's back every time someone said something she didn't like.Pathetic. he thought to himself, settling down.
-
"I'm Riversplash. Pleased to meet you." His long, thin tail swept side to side with calmness. "So, what brings you to RiverClan territory?" He asked, trying to sound nonchalant about the whole thing.
-
"Hi." Hawkfire said, turning to Electric. "Want to come hunting?" He asked, guesturing toward the camp entrance.
-
"Listen, Starpaw." Riversplash exaggerated, his ears flattening. "Just because your some royal snob doesn't mean you don't have to show any respect. Your still just an apprentice, and don't you forget it, pricklepaws." He turned back to Liathpaw. "I truly am sorry about him." He said, flicking his tail a Starpaw.
-
"No, no please, don't be sorry about anything." Riversplash said, smiling. "I want to welcome you to RiverClan, if you have any intentions of staying here." Riversplash was a naturally kind tom, and even his eyes seemed to smile when he did.
-
"This is Liathpaw." Riversplash said, gesturing toward the she-cat. "She'll be staying overnight at our camp, so please, show some compassion." he said, aiming the word at Starpaw. "Come on Liathpaw, I'll show you around." he said cheerfully.
-
"Well come on then." he said, guestering to Electricpaw to follow him. He slid out the camp entrance, padding along on the forest floor, whistling cheerfully.
-
Riversplash's hackles raised in Liathpaw's defense. "Why are you all so HOSTILE?!" he said, his ears flattening to his head. He immeadetly went into offensive mode, ready to attack any cat that made a threatning advance. This was very uncharacteristic of himself, and even he was shocked he was like this. But he held his stance, teeth bared.
-
"Keep practicing, and you'll get it." Hawkfire said, but he stopped whistling so he didn't make Electricpaw feel bad.
-
Riversplash relaxed enough to turn his head and look at Liathpaw. "Are you sure?" he said. "Okay then, follow me." he said, not exactly snapping back to his usual cheerfulness. But his gaze and stance relaxed and softened, and he smiled shyly at Liathpaw. How bad did that outburst look? He asked himself. Stupid, stupid, STUPID! Riversplash yelled at himself, because he hated to be grumpy and mean.
-
Hawkfire chuckled. "See?" he said, whistling again. He spotted a vole and abrubtly stopped whistling so the vole wouldn't hear him. He crouched down silently, stalked forward, the pounced, catching the vole compleatley by surprise.
-
"Thanks!" he said through muffled teeth. He set the vole on the ground. "Where there is one, there is always more." he said matter-of-factly.
-
Riversplash noticed the nervous look on Liathpaw's face. "Don't sweat it, kay?" he said, playfully brushing his tail tip across her nose. "RiverClan is great. And our leader is very considerate." He fell behind to let her catch up to him, then carried on at her side.
