"Hm. I guess it wasn't a weasel or a cat then." She muttered. "Maybe it was a gnat or a fly. I don't know." She responded. She felt happier now that the kit seemed to have calmed down.

Swansong shrugged. "I don't exactly know. But they sure are wrecking the place!" The she-cat scoffed.
-
Swansong was slightly amused, but worry hung heavy in her eyes as well. The kit was right, her clan could starve if these twolegs drove it all out. She didn't respond. Swansong hadn't much to say on the subject.

Swansong perked her ears as she saw a monster jerk towards a silvery cat with darker swirls and stripes sprinkled around her fur, it's round, rubbery supports rolling it along across the black stone thunder path. Her blue eyes widened in surprise. It was coming for a cat near it.
She was frozen in place, her fur slightly puffed. She dashed for the cat, already worn out from helping the two other cats. "Sorry!" She called out to the kit she had left behind. She huffed as she sprinted to what seemed to be so far away.
Swansong couldn't save everycat, but yes, she could try. Though at the moment, the only thing she feared was not making it in time. Her worries faded when she arrived. She stopped herself immediately, breaking the wind forming around her. She arched her back, the fur on her tail standing on end as the sweet she-cat's lips, normally pulled back into a smile, were nothing but a snarl.
She stepped infront of the silver and striped cat dealing with the twolegs, shyly. She hadn't wanted to be sent off to the pound. But the satisfaction of helping someone, to her, would be worth her life.
Her white and ginger hairs bristled, her claws unsheathed. Swansong could feel the anger coursing through her veins, waiting for the twoleg to make a move. She wasn't trying to show off and see how many she could mildly help in a day, but to help those in need. Everyone only had a short amount of time to live, all with something they loved to do more than anything else. And for her, that was helping other cats.

To her surprise, the twoleg backed off when she acted so defensive of the silver cat behind her. She gave a purr of satisfaction, losing the terrible snarl, her fur flattening. But she still had the monster to worry about. She looked over her shoulder to give a quick glance to Silverpelt.
"Run!" She meowed to the cat behind her, ducking to the side as she awkwardly backed up out of the monster's way, dodging the metal frame. She didn't want that shecat to get hurt because of those stupid hairless twolegs, or their machines.

The she-cat hadn't quit running until she reached the land off the road. When she had, Swansong halted in her footsteps, stumbling as she tried to slow her running pace down to idle. Her breathing was heavy. She was above the side of the road, just from the monster's grip.
From the looks of it, the cat was no longer there. Swansong could tell she had ran from the incoming monster. If they hadn't, they'd be crushed... She wasn't sure where the silver she-cat had gone.
