    She blinked the sleep out of her doe brown eyes, almost unamused as she watched the tom.smile and apologize as if nothing happened. Blinking slowly, she peered at him with her disappointment-ridden eyes, like he was a guilty child hanging his head and moping. Straightening, she held back a choppy, sharp chuckle and simply nodded. "I started at four moons, I was pretty young for a medic apprentice, so that's why I got promoted early." she corrected him before leaning against the wall and blinking slowly, in no mood to argue. "Its fine," she lied bluntly.

    "Fuck! Move away from my daughter, please!" the tiny medic shoved past everyone, grunting as she got to her daughter. "Cally." she whispered, bambi eyes wide as she hovered above her daughter. "What happened, sweetie?" she murmured before resting her cheek against her daughter's.

    "Storybookpaw?" she repeated, bristling. "That bitch is trying to kill my daughter?" she tensed for a moment, staring at Calypsokit. Of course the damn girl would pick on her child, for the star forest's sake. Shaking her head, the young blue and white solid blinked before rubbing her eye with a paw, brows drawn in anger. She sighed very quietly. "I'm sorry for yelling at you guys," the medic pursed her lips slightly, a bewildered look on her face, however.

    [justify][size=8]
    "Its okay, sweetie." she didn't give a crap if Cobra or even Darcy hated her after this; she had quite a reputation and after all Darcy was her apprentice so if he truly tried to disrespect her after this stuff would get serious. She couldn't really do anything to Cobra - especially since he's her little brother - but she could indeed keep Calypsokit away from him, but did she really want to be that mean? Was she losing her 'cuteness' that everyone loved? The pretty blue and white solid blinked her bambi eyes as she huddled next to her daughter and sang the song she did at the prom, she knew it settled down Marionette so why not?

    "She's not going to lay a finger on you. If she does, I'll get daddy on her butt, okay? We're gonna try and fix this." she told her softly, snuggling her milky white neck. To think that only a year or two ago Mourning Dove was doing the same to her when she had sleep paralysis.

    She looked at Ace with narrowed eyes. "Who here promoted you?" she snapped, "and she's trying to rip my daughter away from me, too, Ace. I can't even see why Dovey would take a liking to someone as horrible as you." she spat, tears in her bambi eyes. "She was suicidal, she betrayed me, and I was friends with her. But now she's trying to kill my daughter. Would you care if she did that to one of your kids! I sure don't see you fucking near them!" the medic roared, shutting him out before trembling against her daughter.

    Goddamn kids.

    Espresso nodded with a sigh at her little brother's words. "Sorry," she looked apologetically to Cobra, eyes downcast for a moment before she looked at Darcy - odd how she was only a bit taller than the apprentice. "He said she was his daughter; that's how I found out right away." she sighed, blinking. "He's a good medic, Darce, but now I see why Colouredstar didn't want him in the position anymore." she pursed her lips.

    Mourning Dove walked over, hearing a bit of commotion. "Hey Cobs - holy mother of-" the marbled blue tabby broke off, eye twitching. [b]"I just heard Ace. Ace is Nitrogen? Story's possessing my granddaughter and.. should I just.. why am I even.. what?"

    Now she was finally figuring out the meaning of that song; she couldn't help but imagine herself as the girl named 'carmen'. What a pretty name. The medic found herself walking out of the school's doors, bambi eyes weary and tired. She didn't know where to go; she wanted to be fully blind, suddenly, she didn't want to see anyone. Sitting in the middle of the pouring rain, she looked up, and a few feet from her, lightning struck. She appeared like she didn't notice; although her tired, childish doe eyes said 'come get me'.

    So she sat in the pouring rain, letting thunder growl and roar at her, rain prod at her, lightning seeming to purposedly ignore her, as if she mattered. Tears slipped down the young girl's face as she let a frosty sigh escape her lips, puffing out in front of her.

    Surprised by the amount of cats gathering, the medic blinked, stomach churning as she looked at everyone. "Nothing's wrong," she claimed shakily, puffing her chest out and grinning victoriously. "Have you never seen rain on someone's cheeks before?" Espresso gave a weak, fake chuckle. Of course there was something wrong; Calypsokit's possession, her sudden cursing fits, the fact she was growing up and so was everyone else. Was she really that selfish?

    Grinning, she licked her daughter's head and nudged her brother playfully but the tear streaks were evident and she looked as if she'd fall over any second, heart beating rapidly within her chest, like a butterfly clamped within a cage - which oddly resembled her at the moment. A sweet, flighty being trapped by invisible dangers.

    The medic appeared startled for a moment before she rushed to get some coltsfoot. "Eat this, please, ah, s-sir." she stuttered and gave him the flower, never healing an actual leader or even talking to them before. She had never even talked to Colouredstar, even if he was her great uncle.

    "I see," Espresso mused, staring at the dead body before shaking her head at Gothika. "Sick." she murmured underneath her breath before settling, Aloisa whimpering next to her, craving meat, but Espresso flicked her tail on the massive creature's paw to calm her down.

    "Fuck no." Espresso steered in front of them, not caring if she cursed or not; it seemed to be normal here. Aloisa, her pet wolf, followed her with a sharp snarl. [b]"What the hell is wrong with you? Are you trying to ruin the kid's life? Christ, let him be a normal kid, he can go for that shit when he's older. I used to be a medicine cat in my old place and I didn't dare go near catnip unless it was for patients."

    Espresso glanced at Projunda, an unamused look in her usually sweet doe eyes. Okay, she understood; she was disappointed she hadn't been promoted. But Espresso had been raped, her mate had disappeared, her Sunclan kids probably hated her if they hadn't fell of the face of earth, went through the end of the world in Scarclan, a bunch of shit. You didn't see her moping around because of that.

    Turning her attention to Tiresias, a broad grin spread across the white serval's face. "Ohh yeah. Second time's a charm, huh? I got this new serval body, too, kinda more comfortable. Say, whatever happened to Navyseal and Aima?" she questioned, missing her half-sister and her friend.
