Jay glared at the largest of the dogs, breathing heavily. The beast was getting harder to fend off with each passing second.

"Okay, me, you, Thompson sisters, serious talk later." Kage muttered, retrieving Shika from the wolf's flesh.

Kage literally shuddered at the mention of her aunt. Nevertheless, she continued fighting off the dogs that came near her.

"Right." Kage agreed, luring several dogs to the edge of the cliff and fighting them there.

OOC: WHAT!? Um...I don't know...

OOC: you know how pissed I'll be if you don't get to meet Haberkorn? well, I'll be pissed either way, but I'd rather you get to go.

IC: "We're outnumbered." Heart cautioned. "More keep coming. Should we resort to Witch Hunter? We might be able to pull it off this time."

"We have to try!" Heart insisted. "If we don't, the wolves will finish us off."

Heart nodded confidently. "I'm ready when you are."

A look of recognition flashed across Kage's face as the sword and her meister landed skillfully before her.

"Silver★Star, Chantel!" She gasped. "Perfect timing, these wolves are gonna freaking kill us!"

The silver-haired shinigami couldn't help but snort doubtfully at her friend's determination.

"Don't do anything stupid, okay?" she chuckled, fighting off a cream-colored wolf pup.

Three more wolves emerged from the cave. Two of them charged at Chantel, and the third lunged at Kage, who kicked it roughly aside with a sadistic laugh.

"Don't get cocky, guys!" Kate called, from where she was now being all but mauled by a large tan wolf.

Jay glanced at the cliffs behind him, then at the large silver wolf. He charged at the beast again, stabbing at its paws with Avion.

"Thanks." Kage panted as the tan pup took the bait. Sweat ran down her face, and she growled softly, whirling around to stab yet another wolf.

"Hey, Avion." Jay murmured. "I'm going to try something, but I need you to resonate with me. Can you do that?"

Before Kage could throw a half-hearted insult at Chantel and Silver★Star, another four wolves emerged from the cave, murder gleaming in their eyes.

"There's no end to these!" Kage exclaimed, scanning the blood-stained battlefield.

"We kid you not, young idiot!" Kage called from where she tussled with another pup, trying to stab the animal whenever it went for her throat.

OOC: its okay, they're still battling wolves, you and Heart need to try Witch Hunter.

IC: The corners of Jay's mouth curled downward in a slight frown. "I'm going to try to channel my soul wavelength through you and into the dog...at best, it'll die, and we'll pass out. At worst, you'll be fine, and I'll drag the wolf down with me."

"Soul Resonance!" Heart shouted at the same time as Alwyn. He growled with effort, narrowing his one visible eye. At one point, he faltered, and a jolt of pain shot up his spine, but he recovered quickly. This was the point where they usually failed...No, don't think like that!

'I'm fine, I just panicked for a minute.' Heart replied, glaring at the dogs. 'Just a little longer...we can't fail this time.'

Heart bit his lip again, wincing at the metallic taste of blood. He glanced over at Aika with his one good eye, trying his best to smile at her.
