    As Snowflakestar laid down next to him, Sleetfoot glanced at the leader, his sharp eyes picking up how weary she really was. Turning back to the cats before him he couldn't help but comment aloud, "fun group of cats yall got here... Do we need to help her?" His question was annunciated by a flick of his tail toward Kat, who seemed to be a might bit busy.

    Sleetfoot did a double take as the cat in question appeared nearby. "Oh, well dear, it's a pleasure to meet you. You have more energy than most kits I've met." He chuckled, wondering if she ever stood still.

    As Stormpaw's tounge tripped over words, Dustpaw tried to give her a re-assuring smile. "Glad you're still up for it. And you are welcome to join us as well," he added, flicking his gaze towards the newcomer: Ravenwing.

    [glow=orange,2,300]
    Cookies, huh? That would make sense. He had never had one himself but he had observed two-legs' kits eating them and saw the energy they got. Sleetstep made a mental not to avoid them in the future, it would mess up his cool profile to act so hyper.

    With a quiet grunt, Dustpaw got up and trailed after Thistlestar. It felt like his duty to help these cats since they did invite him over, but he really was not interested in hunting. "They'll catch up," he mewed once he caught up to the leader, really hoping that his words would ring true.

    [glow=orange,2,300]
    Sleetfoot turned his gaze onto Smoketail, a smile apparent in his voice. "You know it's a good party when people start passing out. I think I'm going to get up and stretch before that happens to me too, that squirrel really hit the spot."

    Quickening his pace, Dustpaw tried to keep up with Thistlestar, his paws unable to give him as much grace as the leader. With an effort he turned around to make sure the others followed. He didn't want to be off doing all the work, after all.

    "Well now, that's a good question. At the moment I don't, but I have thought about it many a time over the moons I've traveled. I miss Clan life but I also love my freedom." Sleetfoot gazed at other tom, wondering what life would be like if he was young and gifted with fire. Must be pretty exciting. Following his inward trail of thought he asked, "do the cats of your Clan ever accidentally start forest fires?"

    As Snowflakestar stirred he nodded to her, hoping this meant that she was feeling a bit stronger and better rested. He nearly asked about the reason Fangstar had left, but thought better of it. He didn't want to be a bother, though he always had a million questions. As Fernpelt arrived, he greeted her with his characteristic: "nice to meetcha, missy."[/glow]

    ooc.. OctaviaPon3, I simply must tell you that your avatar is adorable. That will be all :)

    bic.. Picking his way though the snow, Sleetfoot was less than pleased. It felt like it had just been green-leaf and now this. His old bones protested (they got achey in the cold) but he kept on walking, hoping for shelter, when suddenly a cry for help sounded nearby. Immediately switching gears, the skinny tom rushed towards the sound. "Where are you?" he called, the breeze whipping his words away.

    [glow=orange,2,300]
    "I'm new 'round these parts, a passing loner who hoped to meet a few new faces before moving on. Anyway, it's a pleasure to make your aquaintance." Smiling, he did a half-bow to Fernpelt before a splash of water turned his attention back to Smoketail. "Oh, I didn't realize you could manipulate water as well. I s'pose that ensures you won't burn your nest down." He grinned at the warrior, the expression made comical thanks to the water now dripping from his nose.

    Snowflakestar's sudden outburst changed the mood to a more sober one. "It's always sad when a cat goes to StarClan, I'm sorry for your loss." He wasn't sure who the white-furred leader had lost, but by her tone it was clear that it was recent.[/glow]

    [glow=orange,2,300]
    "Why hello, Shadowleaf. I'm Sleetpelt, a loner exploring 'round these parts." Wrapping his twig-thin tail around his paws he turned toward Snowflakestar. "It's sad, but 'tis the way of things. I can only wish that with StarClan's help the rest of leaf-bare will be better for you." Not one to completely ascribe to StarClan, he still had witnessed the power of them and hoped they would be merciful toward this cat that had already been through so much. Flicking the remainder of the water off his paw, Sleetpelt grinned at Smoketail, appreciative of the warrior's sarcasm.

    [glow=orange,2,300]
    Sleetfoot nearly fell backwards as Moonstar suddenly showed off her powers. He had never seen such a display, though he imagined the other elemental cats could create equally impressive displays. Amazed, he could only watch, yellow-green eyes wide with fascination.

    [glow=orange,2,300]
    As Shadowleaf came to his side, Sleetpelt turned to face her. "Why hello." The circle of water threw him off, but only for a moment this time. He was beginning to get used to such displays. "Do you only work with water?" He felt silly asking these questions of each cat, but it was so new to him that he felt like a kit before these elemental warriors.

    [glow=orange,2,300]
    It was like watching fireworks the way everything flared up and then quickly disappeared. Sleetfoot was still reeling when Fernpelt appeared next to him. "I have no idea, I only just met them," he mewed, voice slightly shaky. "Haven't you encountered elemental cats before? It seems to be a local phenomona around here.

    It was then that he noticed the decorations and Snowflakestar's upset expression. "Do you think a wind-elemental cat could dry these out again?" he mewed, trying to be helpful but not really knowing how.
    [/glow]

    [glow=orange,2,300]
    "Ohh, okay. But you're not part of that Clan? Are there other elemental cat Clans then that I've just never met?" This entire evening was a very mind-blowing experience for Sleetfoot, having only encountered normal cats previously, though it wasn't uncommon to find normal cats with strange markings or eye colors. "Either way, I'm sorry for your loss, this has been a tough season on us all."
    [/glow]

    [glow=orange,2,300]
    Sleetfoot turned to Fernpelt. "We could go hunting, though I imagine the apprentices and Thistlestar are already doing a good job of it. We don't want to abandon the place completely or some other cats might come take over the party." He poked at his squirrel, now as soggy as the rest of the prey. "At least it'll dry out..." Sleetfoot still felt bad that everything had gotten so ruined so fast. The night wasn't even over.
    [/glow]

    [glow=orange,2,300]
    "I'm sorry about your friend, that's harsh. I hope your new apprentice learns well though." He offered her a smile, knowing it wouldn't ease her pain but having nothing else to give. A glance around camp and Sleetfoot saw Snowflakestar laying down. "I'm staying too" he announced to no one in particular. "These old bones need a break from journey'in." Plopping down next to the snow-white leader he watched the preperations for the hunting trip.
    [/glow]

    [glow=orange,2,300]
    ooc.. Goodnight! :D

    bic.. Sleetfoot turned toward Rosestar. "Wait, if he was awarded as an air cat then couldn't he use that ability to dry things off? I hope he comes back..." A sweeping glance showed no sign of the elemental tom.

    Stretching, he got to his paws and followed Snowflakestar's lead, picking up the ruined food and tossing it away from them. "Well, I reckon we appreciate all the work you put into preparing this even if it got a bit wet. It was a lovely set-up."
    [/glow]

    [glow=orange,2,300]
    Now that it was hunting time Dustpaw began to worry. With his less-than-slender frame and unsure pawsteps he scared prey away more often than he caught any. With heavy steps he tried unsuccessfully to pounce on two mice and a thrush. Frustrated, he paused to scent the air for more prey.

    Sleetpelt was happy to see the tired leader smile. He couldn't help but return the look, happy despite the situation. His good mood improved with the thought of beds. "That's mighty thoughtful of ya, I hadn't expected such hospitality from yall." However instead of lying down he wanted to finish the clearning up so he continued.
    [/glow]

    [glow=orange,2,300]
    "Nice technique, my dear," Sleetfoot said, watching the easy way that Kat had discovered to get rid of the prey. Each piece they threw was sort of painful to do. He had had so many days as a young cat where he didn't get anything to eat that the idea of throwing away food of any sort was abhorrent to him. Yet, it was soggy and there was plenty of fresh prey... Still it was unpleasant. "Yes, it really is a shame. What a waste of delicious food and good decorations."
    [/glow]

    [glow=orange,2,300]
    Nodding, Sleetpelt mewed, "that explains it. You didn't strike me as a typical warrior. Ya' know I always respected medicine cats, that's one heckuva demanding job, it is. I bet you're good at it though." As he spoke, the grey and white tom tossed prey out of the area: mice, sparrows, squirrels, voles, it didn't matter. All were ruined.

    [glow=orange,2,300]ooc.. See you in the morning, I'm going to head to sleep!
    [/glow]

    [glow=orange,2,300]
    ooc.. Well, quick reply!

    bic.. Sleetpelt picked up the last piece of prey nearby and sat down for a breather. Resting his head on his paws was the last thing he remembered though because he was so tired he passed out right in the middle of the clearing.
