    Appleflower nodded respectfully, flashing the tom a comforting smile. He seemed a little more confident, which was good. She averted her gaze to the sky. It was nearing sunset, so she had a while to wait before they would head out, so she decided to grab some fresh-kill from the gradually shrinking pile.

    Looking uncertainly at Eaglepaw, who seemed to be challenging Reedfeather, she backed away slowly, her gaze on a small mouse.

    Ooc; Don't worry. We all get left behind sometimes ;D

    Ic;

    Frozenbrook smiled at the new bundles of life, as Lilackit leaned in to get closer look at each of the kits and their markings. The small grey kit blinked before backing, realizing just how crowded the nursery was now. There were ten kits! And more to come! Frozenbrook eventually wrenched her loving gaze away when Lilackit went downstairs towards the kitchen to resume staring out of the window.

    The cinnamon queen, smiling over her shoulder, followed her daughter and went back to her unfinished mouse, gulping down the remains and washing herself.

    Appleflower tilted her head at the two apprentices, but she was glad that Reedfeather hadn't given in to pressure and was standing up for his decision as she settled down to eat the small mouse. She didn't have much of an appetite anymore, and she figured she should eat something now so she'd have enough strength for the moonhigh hunt.

    Appleflower looked at the scene that was being created, all of the anger being aimed at Reedfeather. She frowned, feeling sorry for the tom. He had only just been made deputy and now everyone was ganging up on him. With a sigh, she tried to muster up some courage before padding over the scene. She wasn't a very brave warrior, and she wasn't used to speaking to so many cats at once, but she felt like something had to be done.

    "Um...ex-ex-excuse me, N-Nightmare?" she murmured quietly.

    Luminous looked around, her eyes darting. She heard something rustling in the bushes nearby, and spotted a flash of black fur. Being a little stubborn, although terrified, the she-wolf didn't move and just turned s l o w l y...

    And stared at two narrowed eyes in the bushes, belonging to one of the biggest wolves she'd ever seen! Luminous backed away, the feathers in her fur fluttering wildly in the icy wind and the shells clacking again, her tail lashing nervously. This was the wolf she'd sensed earlier, smelling of blood and aggression.

    Oh...deer-dung....

    "Um...." she started quietly, her voice muffled by fear. "I hope I'm intruding on your territory, ma'am..." Her voice shook, yet Luminous forced a smile, although it was nervous and she was fully aware of how she stunk of fear-scent and it wreathed her entire body. "I'm just p-p-p-passing through..."

    Appleflower looked between the two toms, her eyes wide. She was slightly relieved that she didn't have to say anything, but, at the same time, she felt kind of frightened. This wasn't the best position for her to be in, but she felt like she couldn't just slink away. She'd gotten herself into this situation now, and it's not like she could just slide back out again.

    However, Nightmare stalked away, looking less than pleased. Unsure of whether to go with Eaglepaw or not, the silver she-cat stood awkwardly, waiting for Reedfeather's approval.

    Frozenbrook watched Mossfire and his apprentice, Gorsepaw leave, still licking her paws. For a brief moment, she wondered if she'd be watching Lilackit like that one day, going out with her mentor to hunt. She felt a stab of sadness in her chest at the thought; Lilackit wouldn't be a kit forever. She'd have to grow up soon.

    The queen stared distantly at her daughter, still up on the windowsill, before smiling.

    She'll grow up to be a good warrior someday, and she'll work hard for this clan.

    Appleflower watched the two apprentices go, deciding the stick to Reedfeather's orders, and hunt at moonhigh. It wasn't too late, but, nonetheless, she decided to build up some energy by taking a quick nap in the warriors' den. She passed the deputy on her way there, and smiled to herself, glad that the hubbub had died down, at least for the time being.

    Appleflower curled up in her nest, willing sleep to come, but it didn't. She closed her eyes, but she found that she just wasn't tired. Instead, she was restless, constantly fidgeting and shuffling about. Eventually, she gave up on rest and just sat up, feeling irritated with herself and uneasy. There was a cold stone in the pit of her stomach, and she didn't like it. There wasn't really much to do in the clan, so she just flopped down in the clearing, waiting for moonhigh to come.

    Luminous sat down, breathing out a silent sigh of relief. For a second, there, she'd thought she was about to be turned into mince. I have to get out of here as quickly as possible, she thought to herself, standing up and looking for somewhere to go. Had she been a braver wolf, she would've said something back, like; "I don't have a den" or something along those lines.

    True, devoting her life to being an adventurer and a wanderer meant that Luminous didn't have a den. She'd left her family behind a long time ago, wanting to cross the mountains that were on the horizon. She'd dreamed of distant places, full of luscious green pines, stretching up to scrape the heavens. She'd seen oceans and walked along gargantuan cliffs, staring down at the miniature world below.

    Perhaps it was time to settle down and start her own family. That was the least of Luminous' worries though. In her haste to get away from the big black she-wolf, she hurtled down the hillside and towards the other two wolves. Sadly, she didn't realize this until a bit too late.

    Ooc; Okay :)

    Ic;

    Slyfox yawned, stepping out of the warriors' den and stretching his limbs. The sun shone on his bright red fur, making it shine and glow like fire. He opened one eye -- the silver one to be more specific -- and glanced around the Flameclan camp, feeling proud to be a member of one of the finest clans. He noticed Hawkstar and his brother, Silverstripe nearby, along with apprentices sharing food.

    "Hey," a voice called across the clearing to him. "When are you going to assess me?"

    Immortalpaw, Slyfox's apprentice came trotting lazily across the camp towards him, his blue tabby fur bleached silvery in the sunlight. Slyfox grinned, showing off his array of white fangs. Unlike most mentor and apprentice relationships, these two had grown to be close friends. Perhaps it was because of their contrasting attitudes, or their closeness in age -- Immortalpaw had been apprenticed late due to sickness as a kit -- but they were able to share secrets and prey together easily.

    Well, almost easily. When Slyfox wasn't goofing off or being annoying, Immortalpaw found him a good, funny friend to be around. But, most of the time, he just got on his nerves.

    "I dunno," Slyfox shrugged, flicking his tail. Immortalpaw rolled his eyes, not surprised that his mentor hadn't organised an assessment. "Maybe tomorrow or something. Today, we hunt!"

    Appleflower looked up. She'd drifted off into a daydream for a few minutes there, and she flicked her ears, feeling a little embarrassed. No-cat seemed to have noticed though. The sun was setting quickly, and she could just about make out the moon on the other horizon in the pale light.

    I'd better get going, she thought, realizing that she'd be hunting alone. With a sigh, she heaved herself to her paws, grooming herself quickly and heading towards the camp entrance.

    Ooc; Yeah, it is getting a bit flooded now :-\ Perhaps we should cut down a little for today --

    Ic;

    Appleflower turned, slightly surprised. Then, she nodded gratefully at the new deputy. He probably just wants to get out of camp, she thought silently before padding through the camp entrance and into the forest.

    The red tabby lashed his tail happily, trotting to the camp entrance, his apprentice trundling behind. Immortalpaw was almost ready to become a warrior, being around twelve moons old, however, he still had a little work to do. Although he was a good fighter, he had to practice balancing and hunting, especially in groups. He could be somewhat...anti-social at times...

    As Immortalpaw passed the apprentices' den, he noticed Tigerpaw and Leafpaw. His mentor's words echoed in his mind; "You really should try to make some friends, ya butt!" Rolling his large, blue eyes, the grumpy tabby exhaled.

    "Hey," he greeted Tigerpaw. "Do you and Leafpaw wanna come hunting with us?"

    Hiya! ;)

    Name of cat:
    Lonely Star that is Hidden by the Cloud {Hidden}

    Rank:
    Cave-guard

    Gender:
    Tomcat

    Mate/crushes:
    None yet -- will probably develop in RP

    Personality:
    Hidden's loyalty is questionable due to his lineage -- his mother was a rogue who came to the Tribe, carrying the kits of a tom from a faraway clan -- but, other than that he is a good cave-guard. He is fairly narrow-minded, and normally chooses the more aggressive route, but deep down, he's just a big softie.

    Looks:
    You'll see him in my signature, but to describe him...

    Hidden is a broad shoulder, thickset tom with a jaw that juts out slightly so you can really see his fangs when he snarls. His eyes have rather odd colouring -- one blue, the other orange -- and his fur is a dark grey, blending in perfectly with the rocks. If it hadn't been for his immense size and strength, he would've made a good hunter, blending in well with the rocks (minus the large amount of white on his fur.) Then, he would've really lived up to his nickname; Hidden.

    Other:
    Nope

    "Let's go, then," the blue tabby answered, his voice the same level of monotone as he walked up to his mentor. Slyfox grinned and winked at Immortalpaw before turning and dashing into the forest.

    "Whoever catches the least prey is a butt!" he called over his shoulder, leaping in and out of the bushes. Immortalpaw sighed. He'll scare away all of the prey at this rate...

    Lilackit slid down from the windowsill, looking over at Finchpaw and Brownpaw, and pressed herself against her mother, seeking warmth. Frozenbrook wrapped her tail protectively around her daughter, purring gently.

    "Momma?"

    "Yes, dear?"

    "How long until I'm an apprentice?"

    Frozenbrook frowned. "Two moons. Why? Are you impatient?"

    Lilackit pushed herself closer to the queen. "No...I want to be a kit a little longer..."

    A purr rumbled deep within Frozenbrook's throat and she flicked her kit gently with her tail.

    Ooc; Woot! Hidden was accepted! Thanks :)

    Ic;

    Lonely Star that is Hidden by the Clouds sat by the entrance to the camp, feeling the gentle tug of the wind on his pelt ripping over the moor. He closed his eyes, listening to the howling in the distance. It was his turn on sentry duty that day, and so far, all that had passed overhead had been a curious pigeon.

    Nothing much is happening today... thought the hefty white tom.

    Slyfox galloped over the bushes, feeling the wind rush fiercely against his face. After a while, he stopped and sniffed the air, feeling content with his position. He could smell numerous birds overhead; a family of thrushes circling the trees high above, a magpie dangerously close to their nest, two blue tits chattering noisily to each other...

    The red tabby tom opened his odd-coloured eyes and began to claw himself up a nearby tree. Soon, he was level with the magpie, perched on the other branch. It was staring intently at the thrushs' nest, obviously looking at the feathers they had gathered. Slyfox edged along his branch, his claws outstretched...

    ...he leapt! And missed. With a cry, he tumbled downwards, landing heavily on his butt. Immortalpaw just watched, bored, a mouse in his jaws.

    "Mouse-brain," he muttered.

    Hidden, lashing his tail, heard his stomach growl. He opened his eyes from the daydream he was enjoying -- racing over the moor and soaring like the eagles that he would see when he was keeping watch -- and headed over to the fresh-kill pile. There didn't seem to be any cat around the share with, so he just settled for a rabbit; one of the smallest forms of prey and devoured it alone.
