Hey--that's great! I started on this website called castingcall.club. There are other similar websites, but I think the interface here is easiest and you can post auditions right on the site. And a lot of the work is non-compensated, but it's good experience. There's a LOT of projects on there, and you'll have a TON of auditions before you get a part, and even then, since they're usually run by one or two people, some projects might not even get off the ground. But, like I said, it's all good experience! I'd also suggest getting a mic. Doesn't have to be fancy. A good quality one is the Blue Yeti. It goes for maybe $120 on Amazon. The Blue Snowball might be cheaper, similar quality. Getting a mic will definitely set you apart from all the people recording from their computer. There's loads of experienced people who will most likely get parts before you, but its good experience to try! I'd also suggest downloading Audacity. Its free and fairly easy to use and you can use it for editing auditions/parts. Hey, good luck! its a bunch of fun, but you might not always even hear back from project directors. It's frustrating, but when you land a part it feels worth it! Also, save all your auditions (that you really really like) and put them in a folder. Same thing for work from projects. If you get serious with it, you can edit a demo reel that you can send to directors to hear your range of talent. JEEZ that was long, but I hope you got something out of it!

She beamed with optimism and hopefulness and whoever she was by seemed to automatically smile in her presence. At a young age, she was content with her life.
The nation experienced a crippling depression when she was very young. This affected her mother and father (she was a single child; her parents couldn't afford to conceive another child) greatly. They were factory workers; they helped build machinery. Although, during the depression, they were laid off because their work couldn't afford to pay them.
They lost everything.
Her family was forced to live in a run-down shack in a ghetto neighborhood.
Clarisse was oblivious to this, however. Although, this was expected because she was only four. She could sense there was something off about her parents, but she was too young to tell what they were feeling. Her parents tried the best they could to make her happy and keep her brightness. She was the only light in their lives.
When she was five, she noticed her mother and father seemed to get into a lot of fights. She couldn't understand why they did, but she tried to ignore them. It was normal, right? Sadly, it wasn't. Her parents fought all the time -- even over the most little things. They were slowly falling out of love.
A week before Clarisse's birthday, her mother and father got into a huge fight. She wasn't sure what they were fighting about, but it was really bad. Things were thrown across the room and there was a lot of yelling. Her mother scooped Clarisse and left her father for the week, staying at a friend's apartment.
About a month after Clarisse's sixth birthday, her mother and father filed for divorce. Her mother despised her father, and she and Clarisse moved in with her mother's friend.
Clarisse missed her father dearly. She asked her mother many times if she could see him, but she said no. When she asked for a reason, her mother said she would tell her when she was older.
Half a year later, her mother met a man and fell in love with him. Clarisse met him and didn't mind him, but she still wondered what happened to her father and wondered how he was doing. He never tried to contact his daughter. She was still curious why she couldn't see her father and why he never attempted to speak to her.
She noticed her mother was a lot happier when this new man was around. He seemed to fill a void in her her heart that was missing. Two months before her birthday, this new man and her mother married.
She met her stepsister, Sarah, who seemed to be a complete brat. She was demanding and cocky and just an overall spoiled child. Clarisse knew she had to put her in her place.
The two learned they were going to live in the same building -- a mansion. Clarisse had never seen a place so luxurious before. Her stepsister took this for granted, though. What a shame.
Sarah would always tried to boss Clarisse around. She said no, which would surprise Sarah. They got into fights sometimes, but it was only because they were trying to test each other's boundaries. Although, months later, Clarisse noticed a change in her stepsister. She didn't boss her around or try to upset her; Sarah respected her now.
They became good friends. They played dolls and games which each other, swam, and overall, it was a harmonious time for the two.
