    Dylan Makitov

The great knight leaned forward on his desk as if reading Lek's mind, the poor table crying out in pain as the giants weight shifted on it, “Being bored would imply that I have something to do in the first place but refuse to put any efforts into whatever the task may be, that’s why I am not bored. I always put the effort in where needed” he stated clearly, his voice echoing around the room that the two of them were stood in.

Finally, he let out a sigh as he heard Lek’s own words, and he quickly gave a little shrug, “if you’d like a job, I’d have you patrol the outskirts of the city where all the shady characters live. Go by yourself. One knight by himself draws a lot less attention than a group.”

Going to the outskirts had always been a interesting task seeing as there was always so much trouble happening there. It was always either trouble that put ones life at risk, or long reports to be written on their return due to petty theft. Either way, not as simple a task as one would expect. In other words the perfect job for someone he was testing.

The demon let out a quick sniff as there was no answer to his earlier calls, the prisoner attempting to get a whiff of food in the air but failing miserably. He could not even hear the sounds of the guards. Perhaps they had put off their duties to go drinking again? Fools, the lot of them. Did they not think that in this kingdom, there were many beings that could easily escape? It baffled him.

Squinting his eyes into the shadow filled corridor, he attempted to see the shape of a drunken body lying about the place, but to no avail. He almost let out a small growl of frustration, but his stomach beat him to it. Dark flames appeared around him palms for a split second as it peaked, before he simply released the bars and paced back across the room to view the world that was visible to him from his cell.

“It certainly wasn’t, but at least it has all ended well” he said quickly, before pausing, his eyes gazing over the corpses, “for some of us anyways.” With that said, Nao walked towards them and clapped his hands together, sending up a small prayer for them with his head bowed. He knew not why they had led this lifestyle, but hopefully they could find rest in the afterlife.

“Let’s go if you’re ready” he stated quickly as he glanced towards her, his hands lowering before finally settling on his side quickly. He was anxious to move after all that had happened, and besides, without the fire his body was getting colder. Better to move and keep himself warm.

The demons eyes turned into narrow slits suddenly as he heard a noise behind him, whirling around in time for his quick reflexes to kick in, catching the apple with his left hand easily. The kings words sunk in soon after, and he closely examined the apple before glancing up at the king, eyes taking a more human look once more. “What is the meaning of this?” He asked carefully, blissfully aware of who it was that stood in front of him.

He was more interested than it may seem in the apple of course. He hadn’t had the opportunity to eat much fruits since he got captured, even before he had been fruit was a delicacy that was hard to afford for a creature of few talents such as himself. Being a demon only had so many plus sides, after all.

I’ll have to apologise for my inactivity as well guys. My replies will remain very slow until about next week Wednesday, possibly Friday due to work. That doesn’t mean you won’t see me popping up every now and then however! If you need a reply from me just tag me and I’ll get to it ASAP! If you don’t get a reply soon enough then please someone take control of a character, I don’t want to hold this up!

Dylan stood before a sea of grim faces as he leaned one massive hand on the table before him, the usually passive man having a very aggressive stance, as could be told by the hairs on the back of his neck standing up like brown hackles.

“Chaos will soon descend upon us! Before this happens we must try to find the cause of the prince’s sleep, and put an end to this” he began, glaring into the eyes of each and every Knight in the hall before him. “I want every suspicious magic user brought to light at once, and questioned thoroughly. Ask citizens about any suspicious outsiders, and keep on top of any paperwork so that we can keep track of all investigations. That’s all from me, if you need further guidance then ask afterwards. I’ll remain for a short time” he finished, his voice echoing out and fading before his silent audience.

    Form complete!
