At that moment the hunting patrol slipped through the camp entrance with Spottedtail in the lead; each carried a piece of freskill. Boulderfur dumped her vole on the freshkill pile, flicking her tail and looking around. The camp seemed almost empty. "Where's Opalstar?" She mewed to no one in particular.

Siopa yawned and stretched, dragging herself from her nest. Time to hunt. She slipped out into the bright sunlight, blinking. When her mind was cleared from sleep, she spotted Sasha sitting over at one side. She flicked her thick black tail at her. "Hey Sasha, do you want to come hunting?" She meowed, her voice rumbling.

(Okay!) (I brought back a wild pig)(yeah strange but i'm a leopard its my prey)

"Spottedstar, I want to talk to you about something," Siopa beckoned with her tail, uncertain if she should tell at all.

"Someone must know!" *Looks around in panic* "Our leader can't just walk off like that! She could get hurt!"

Opalstar slid through the trees, letting Doveheart take the lead. Her ears were pricked for the slightest sound, her mouth open. For a moment an autumn chill crept under her pelt, and Opalstar shivered. Leafbare was coming. This was no time for kits to be lost!

ooc:Ur supposed to be found on patrol, right? Can we find you with the other two kits when we come to rescue them?

Opalstar leaped into a full-pelt streak across the forest floor, matching Doveheart step for step. Suddently the queen swerved behind a massive boulder, and Opalstar beckoned for the rest of the clan to follow. Snarls erupted into the air behind the boulder, and Opalstar darted behind the rock to find Doveheart battling a huge badger, her two kits and one unfamiliar one huddled in a terrified heap behind her.

oops sorry I didn't see Gingy's last post so I messed the story up a bit

i.c. Opalstar flung herself at the badger, raking her claws across it's wiry flank.

Siopa took one more glance at her pigeon then leaped to help Sasha, swiping at the evil rabbit and growlng menacingly. Finally the rabbit gave up and dashed away, leaving a few bite marks in Sasha's tail as a bitter memory. "That thing was rabid!" Siopa panted, breathless.

Back in the camp, Boulderfur sensed something was wrong. She was sure of it when she heard Doveheart's cry just outside the camp entrance. Rushing to meet her, boulderfur saw that she had a load of three kits. Winterkit, frostkit, and one she didn't recognize. "Someone get the medicine cat!" She yowled into the sandy clearing.

"ROWRRR!" Opalstar hissed, dropping from the badger's back and lying helplessly on the ground, belly exposed. This is my last life[i][i]Opalstar thought, fear flashing through her, "[i]I cannot leave my clan now![/i][/i][/i]

Siopa sighed. "Well, that thing coulda fed the whole clan! I guess we'll just have to keep hunting until we find something. "

ooc: dis is gettin bloody!

Opalstar summoned all her strength and heaved herself to her paws, hardly believing her eyes. Flamepelt's fur was covered in blood..so much blood...yet he was still fighting the badger. Finally the badger collapsed with a final groan, it's heavy body falling on top of Flamepelt's.

ooc: Hawkkit i thought doveheart brought u back to camp? ;)
