Hey, Sharkstar didn't give permission for them to leave yet! *forgives*
And there's no ravine...
Oceankit squealed; "Evil! Evil Shark!" She ran to the tree that Reedkit and climbed up. "You can't stay up there forever! I'll get you!" She snarled, clawing her way up the rough trunk. She heaved herself on to the branch where Reedkit was perched and reached for the salmon.
Troutleap watched Ripplestream go sadly. "Well, then..." He meowed to Thunderwave grudgingly, "Let's get training. It's a bit too early for battle training....but we may as well teach them how to hunt. On land," He added. "Of course, traditionally a Pebble's first task was to swim in the ocean successfully. Now, of course, that'll have to be postponed." He gazed at the distant shoreline, loathing for the sharks holding his island captive stronger then ever. "But first, we should grab a bite to eat. You Pebbles need to get your energy up. If you're hungry, I mean."
Moontide sighed. "No, Dolphinpaw needs to train. I can't let her sacrafice that just because I want to stretch my legs." She nuzzled Stormsplash. "Speaking of which, go take her out for a session. For whatever reason, Violetstream has been neglecting Breezepaw. He's way behind the other Pebbles. You don't want that to happen to Dolphinpaw, do you?"
Whirlwind yawned one last time and crawled out of his nest, into the early sunshine. "Gotta train Dawnpaw today...." He mumbled. After a quick grooming he padded up to his Pebble in the clearing. "Ok, Dawnpaw. Time for training." He put his tail on his daughter's shoulder. "Today it's shellfish scavenging. Don't worry- we won't go too near the ocean, and you won't have to swim at all. Not even in the tide pools." He smiled encouragingly.
Sharkstar cleared his throat. "Ahem...um...err...hey! Did I say the patrol was dismissed....?!" He yowled, stammering. But the patrol was already gone. "Next time," He muttered, "They'd better ask me first."
