Honeydew sat in the nursery lining her nest. All week the only freshkill she'd taken from the freshkill pile had always been bird, and though she was getting sick of the flavour the feathers and down of the birds made soft lining for kits. Suddenly she felt a sharp pain. She was kitting....

As Honeydew woke up alone on the bank of a river, everything flooded back to her. The badger that had pursued her, how she'd fallen into the river ruing from it ad been swept away, only just managing to pull herself onto the bank before falling unconscious. She looked around, she was far from her camp, but nearer the territory of other clans, it would be a long walk if she wanted to get home...

"Thankyou" she headed off into the snow in search of the kit
