River waited outside the camp, hidden in some brambles. "Now I just wait for the cats to go to sleep...." She whispered, as she waited.

"That mange pelt kitty pet was ambushed Bramblepaw and Gorsepaw and I were hunting. She heard the commotion for me and she attacked River and that kitty pet killed her! But I gave her some injuries she wont forget soon" he meowed. There was no triumph in his voice only bitter sadness for his lost apprentice.

Skyheart walked around the camp. He hoped that the cat would be able to fight him the next day. He stood near the warriors den not wanting to sleep.

Weedwhisker brought Gorsepaw to the medicine den to be prepared for her vigil.
Firepaw was in shock, "My dear sister" he whispered. He licked her ear sadly. Then he padded to the her cleft and he took out some rosemary and mint leaves. He rubbed them onto her fur, numb with shock. Finally he stepped up beside her, "May Starclan light your path" he whispered before closing her eyes gently.

Skyheart looked at Grosepaw. That cat will not hurt any more of the clan cats ." He growled walking up to Firepaw

Icepaw rushed over to Gorsepaw, "Gorsepaw? Please, I know your soul will so belong to starclan, but be brave, even if you don't have your warrior name. Stay strong for me. I always thought of you as my best friend." she wispered.

Firepaw dipped his head to Skyheart, "Thank you" he whispered.
Weedwhisker padded up to his apprentice, "I am so sorry" he whispered, "This was all my fault!"

River sat in the brambles even longer. "Great, now I have to wait for them to finish the vigil for Gorsepaw." River sighs.

Firepaw padded up to Weedshisker, "No, it is that mouse brained kitty pets fault" he growled.
Weedwhisker dipped his head to Firepaw.

Sky heart heard a sound coming from the brambles he couched and walked up to the brambles

Stormstar saw Gorsepaw's body. he knew he must confort the clan. "Gorsepaw died an honorable death for her clan. Her bravery will be remembered, and we will honor her arrival in Starclan tonight."
Blackstripe watched from the warriors den. *At least it wasn't a warrioor.* He thought, shrugging to himself.

River silently waited while the vigil went on. "What the heck is a vigil anyway?" She asked herself quietly.

Firepaw and Weedwhisker settled down beside Gorsepaw for the vigil as the sun set along the horizon. Firepaw pushed his nose into Gorsepaw's fur.
Weedwhisker pushed his nose into her fur beside Firepaw. That mange pelt kittypet would pay for this!

Stormstar sat vigil as well. *This is the first loss since the clan started.* he thought grimly.
Blackstripe flicked his tail in annoyance. "Why can't I fall asleep..." He muttered to no one in particular.

Firepaw sat solemnly with his sister. He wasn't aware of the cats around him that padded off to their dens or the ones that settled beside him.

Icepaw settled on the other side of Firepaw. Starclan watch over her and protect her, she belongs to you now. The mouse-brained kittypet will pat for this. I will kill her in revenge for Gorsepaw. she thought.

Skyheart stood near Icepaw. "I will be with you the whole time." meowed Skyheart softly to Grosepaw . He closed his eyes deeply. River... He thought River... "Do you know why That cat killed Grosepaw?" He asked Firepaw.

Weedwhisker and Icepaw should be super mean to her when she joins the clan! And Firepaw will just say nothing to her at all. He will treat her injuries if he has to but other than that he stays clear of her.

"I do," Icepaw growled.
